Episode Synopsis:
Ben is hired by Silvermane to find who leaked his liquor transfer. Ben’s first port of call is to the hospital to investigate the officers injured in the sting operation. He finds out that the information came directly from Mayor Morris.
Meanwhile Robbie Robertson goes to question Lonnie Lincoln about his connection to Flint Marko and Jimmy Addison. But their poor neighborhood is raided also under orders from Mayor Morris
In order to protect the people of the neighbourhood Flint Marko and Lonnie Lincoln use their powers against the cops. Robbie takes photos of the police attack and the powered individual. He tries to sell the story to his former editor, Howard Walters, at the Daily Bugle. He buys the story but has it rewritten to be sympathetic to the police instead of what are now dubbed “Monsters”.
As they continue their investigation, Janet discovers Addison, Lincoln and Marko were former prisoners of war and Ben also finds out Carmedy lied about being Cat's husband to gather evidence on the Mayor and what he thought was his mistress Cat Hardy. Ben realises it must have been Cat that hired Addison to burn down Silvermane's mansion as she also set up the meeting with the Mayor.
Flint Marko briefly considers escaping to live a new life with Cat Hardy, but abandons the idea due to his symptoms worsening further. Cat still tries to leave but Ben confronts her at Penn Station, before Winston captures them.
But Ben was playing the long game as he worked for Silvermane. He frames Winston by using marked bills from Silvermane to pay off Vera Addison for her silence. Silvermane shoots and kills his right hand man Winston, but he cocks the gun and shoots again as the episode ends and the screen goes dark.

02:35 --> 02:38 [SPEAKER_01]: And it's for kind of in the 30s, uh, 20s, 30s coming from online.
02:39 --> 02:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Mate, I guess so.
02:40 --> 02:41 [SPEAKER_01]: So we can 30s.
02:41 --> 02:45 [SPEAKER_02]: I thought you were meaning because showing the podcast is a cool thing.
02:45 --> 02:46 [SPEAKER_02]: The whipping the podcast is dope.
02:47 --> 02:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that'd be good though.
02:47 --> 02:48 [SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
02:48 --> 02:48 [SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
02:48 --> 02:49 [SPEAKER_01]: F, but no.
02:50 --> 02:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's get into the details for this third episode of Spide in the War of Jump.
02:54 --> 02:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Indeed, Derek, who gave us what we're when, how and why.
02:58 --> 03:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the show where the show is, of course, is, or an Izziella, as we mentioned last time.
03:02 --> 03:07 [SPEAKER_01]: The episode here was written by Megan Theow and Steve Lightfoot.
03:07 --> 03:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Megan Theow, this is her first Russian credit, she's a staff writer and all eight episodes of the show, but we have mentioned Steve Lightfoot many, many times, and particularly here on TV podcast industries, because the first show we ever covered on this podcast was with John and the wonderful Irene covering Hannibal season three.
03:24 --> 03:32 [SPEAKER_01]: And Steve Life was the co-showrunner over there, it was an exact producer, on Hannibal, and wrote almost every single episode of that very season.
03:32 --> 03:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yeah, which is kind of cool, isn't it?
03:34 --> 03:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love covering Hannibal.
03:37 --> 03:42 [SPEAKER_02]: It was just such a shame and didn't cover it for seasons one, too.
03:42 --> 03:45 [SPEAKER_01]: I know, and it was a great show with yourself and I were in covering it as well.
03:45 --> 03:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I liked it so much.
03:46 --> 03:47 [SPEAKER_01]: I eventually joined for the last couple of episodes.
03:48 --> 04:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Good but also Steve life what we know him as the showrunner for the significantly better Netflix Punisher TV show as well indeed the showrunner for those two full seasons kind of where she'd come back for it for that One-off special that they did this year even though the person responsible for that as well as John Bernthal And the showrunner for that also had great credentials.
04:10 --> 04:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh absolutely.
04:11 --> 04:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
04:11 --> 04:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Look.
04:12 --> 04:13 [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's better
04:14 --> 04:31 [SPEAKER_01]: I think it is better not to dwell on the past but this episode was directed by in Zinger Stewart who also directs the next episode of the show as she's directing absolutely loads at the moment including the birds TV show and directed the first two episodes of James Paterson's Cross on Prime Video.
04:31 --> 04:32 [SPEAKER_01]: It's time for the second season of that show.
04:32 --> 04:39 [SPEAKER_01]: I think we just watched the first couple of episodes of that, uh, called the Monster Girl Love James Paterson's Alex Cross that the books were really, really good.
04:39 --> 04:41 [SPEAKER_01]: So we sat down to watch that a couple of weeks here.
04:41 --> 04:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Really great opening, so some good credentials there from Zingus Stewart as well.
04:45 --> 04:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely loved checking out Cross on Prime Video and need to kind of get back looking at that because yeah, we just kind of stopped watching it for no real reason.
04:57 --> 04:59 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, just because stuff came off.
04:59 --> 04:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
05:00 --> 05:01 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, everybody knows the real reason.
05:01 --> 05:03 [SPEAKER_01]: If you listen to TV podcast industry, you know, we're recovering a bit.
05:03 --> 05:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Six shows all at the same time.
05:05 --> 05:05 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm very busy.
05:05 --> 05:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Six episodes a week for a while.
05:07 --> 05:11 [SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, so yes, let's continue on with our chat about this episode over this week.
05:11 --> 05:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Spider-in-the-wire episode three double cross.
05:13 --> 05:16 [SPEAKER_01]: John, do you want to give them your synopsis for this episode?
05:16 --> 05:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
05:17 --> 05:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Ben Riley is hired by Silvermain to find who leaked his liquor transfer.
05:22 --> 05:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Ben's first port of call is to the hospital to investigate the officer's injured in the sting operation.
05:28 --> 05:32 [SPEAKER_02]: He found out that the information came directly from their Morris.
05:33 --> 05:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile Robbie Robertson goes to question Lonnie Lincoln about his connection to Funt Marco and Jimmy Addison, but their poor neighborhood is raided also under orders from their Morris.
05:44 --> 05:54 [SPEAKER_02]: In order to protect the people of the neighborhood Flintmarco and Lonny Lincoln use their powers against the cops, Robbie takes photos of the police attack and the powered individual.
05:54 --> 05:59 [SPEAKER_02]: He tries to sell the story to his former editor Howard Walters at the Daily Bugle.
05:59 --> 06:06 [SPEAKER_02]: He buys the story but has it rewritten to be sympathetic to the police instead of what are now dubbed monsters.
06:07 --> 06:22 [SPEAKER_02]: As they continue their investigation, Janet discovers Addison Lincoln and Marco with former prisoners of war, and Ben also finds out comedy lied about being cat's husband to gather evidence on the mirror, and what he thought whilst his mistress Cat Hardy.
06:23 --> 06:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Ben realizes it must have been cat that hired Adison to burn down Silvermeans Mansion as she also set up the meeting with the mayor.
06:32 --> 06:40 [SPEAKER_02]: But Marco briefly considers escaping to live a new life with Cat Hardy, but abandoned the idea due to his symptoms worsening further.
06:41 --> 06:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Cat still tries to leave, but Ben confronts her at Penn Station before Winston captures him.
06:47 --> 06:50 [SPEAKER_02]: But Ben was playing the long game as he worked for Silvermein.
06:51 --> 06:56 [SPEAKER_02]: He frames Winston by using Markt Bills from Silvermein to pay off Vera Addison for her silence.
06:57 --> 07:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Silvermein shoots and kills his right handman Winston, but he cocks a gun and shoots again as the episode ends and the screen goes dark.
07:07 --> 07:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Very dark because it was in black and white.
07:09 --> 07:10 [SPEAKER_01]: It was and a color, a wet black.
07:11 --> 07:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
07:11 --> 07:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
07:13 --> 07:14 [SPEAKER_02]: There was no white in that final shot.
07:14 --> 07:16 [SPEAKER_02]: So it wasn't just black.
07:16 --> 07:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Just dark.
07:17 --> 07:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
07:17 --> 07:19 [SPEAKER_01]: And the shot going out.
07:19 --> 07:22 [SPEAKER_01]: I just thought that would be a nice ending for your synopsis there.
07:22 --> 07:22 [SPEAKER_01]: It was.
07:22 --> 07:25 [SPEAKER_01]: It could be a good way to end it when we exactly.
07:26 --> 07:28 [SPEAKER_01]: I just think that's a really good way to end your synopsis there, Jones.
07:28 --> 07:32 [SPEAKER_01]: It feels like and coming next week to the serial for you.
07:32 --> 07:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, this is a nice cliffhanger, isn't it?
07:34 --> 07:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Really.
07:34 --> 07:37 [SPEAKER_02]: And to be honest, who might that be?
07:38 --> 07:38 [SPEAKER_02]: You know?
07:39 --> 07:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Is it Ben?
07:40 --> 07:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Is it Cas?
07:42 --> 07:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Is it someone else?
07:42 --> 07:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Is it Vera?
07:43 --> 07:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Is it Pudge?
07:44 --> 07:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Is it Tudge?
07:46 --> 07:47 [SPEAKER_01]: That's what the Tudge is what it is.
07:47 --> 07:49 [SPEAKER_02]: I keep wanting to call them Pudge and Raj now.
07:49 --> 07:50 [SPEAKER_02]: That's the problem.
07:51 --> 07:58 [SPEAKER_02]: And we were two puppets that were on Irish television, but they also made it to Channel 4.
07:58 --> 08:00 [SPEAKER_02]: So even though I didn't necessarily...
08:01 --> 08:02 [SPEAKER_02]: start with them.
08:02 --> 08:07 [SPEAKER_02]: They were on and channel 4 did part of my own to actually make it over to channel 4.
08:07 --> 08:09 [SPEAKER_02]: I think you guys know, it's the same guys or whatever.
08:09 --> 08:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the same guys that did Zigginsag.
08:11 --> 08:12 [SPEAKER_01]: It is Zigginsag.
08:12 --> 08:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Porsche, but they didn't have a...
08:14 --> 08:15 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking Zigginsag.
08:16 --> 08:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they were very big over here though.
08:17 --> 08:18 [SPEAKER_02]: They're very big in our hearts.
08:18 --> 08:19 [SPEAKER_01]: They look very similar, they...
08:19 --> 08:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
08:20 --> 08:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Seconds that were aliens and very colourful.
08:22 --> 08:23 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a Persian rod.
08:23 --> 08:25 [SPEAKER_01]: It looked like they came from the black and white era.
08:26 --> 08:27 [SPEAKER_01]: It looked very, very cruel.
08:27 --> 08:32 [SPEAKER_01]: They were much more adult characters, but they were... Then I'm confused with the music.
08:32 --> 08:32 [SPEAKER_01]: I think you might.
08:32 --> 08:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
08:33 --> 08:34 [SPEAKER_01]: I think you might be.
08:34 --> 08:37 [SPEAKER_01]: I'll show you some of the more interesting Persian rod.
08:37 --> 08:39 [SPEAKER_01]: You said it didn't have Justin, the turkey.
08:39 --> 08:40 [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't have Justin the turkey.
08:40 --> 08:42 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but I remember anyway.
08:42 --> 08:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Until the Eurovision, everybody had Justin.
08:44 --> 08:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, exactly.
08:46 --> 09:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Indeed they did and it was hilarious, but it nothing about Irish puppets Let's move down to a little bit of puppeteering by the mayor and a little bit of puppeteering by Ben in this episode as well Yes, he is pulling the strings like a marionette Performer, yeah, kind of really like the long form of of
09:07 --> 09:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Ben's kind of plan here really.
09:09 --> 09:14 [SPEAKER_01]: I think with that revealed the episode and how it all played out, I think this might be my favorite episode of the season so far.
09:15 --> 09:16 [SPEAKER_01]: I really like an at boss.
09:16 --> 09:18 [SPEAKER_01]: We are going to go to our format young.
09:18 --> 09:20 [SPEAKER_01]: We talk about it in our web shots.
09:20 --> 09:22 [SPEAKER_01]: So let's kick off with our web shot number one.
09:25 --> 09:30 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, absolutely opens with our webshush number one, which is hired by Silvermain.
09:31 --> 09:34 [SPEAKER_01]: What a great way to open this as last week's episode.
09:34 --> 09:37 [SPEAKER_01]: We have Janet, I'm the office being roughed up by Silvermain's heavies.
09:37 --> 09:45 [SPEAKER_01]: And here he is, arriving at the front door with them in tow, asking for Ben's help, or telling Ben he's going to need him to work and form.
09:45 --> 09:49 [SPEAKER_01]: And telling his guys that they're going to have to apologize to Janet for what they did.
09:49 --> 09:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know I liked that.
09:50 --> 09:52 [SPEAKER_02]: I liked the apology element.
09:52 --> 09:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
09:52 --> 10:01 [SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, I do like the fact that As Silverman goes into Ben's office, she's like, well, I'm still wishing for that apology when am I going to get it?
10:01 --> 10:02 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, they're looking at one another.
10:02 --> 10:05 [SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think I heard them say sorry.
10:06 --> 10:10 [SPEAKER_02]: But I hope they did deliver the apology to Janet.
10:10 --> 10:12 [SPEAKER_02]: She deserved it after that roofing off.
10:12 --> 10:25 [SPEAKER_01]: She did, but I also like what I also like about Java is she likes making them squirm, making these heavy guys, hard guys think that they're going to have to apologize to her, because they were made to hold them to, so they're going to probably after, but I like that she made them squirm.
10:26 --> 10:36 [SPEAKER_01]: I would say anybody else that arrives in the office is offered T, or a coffee with a bit of whiskey and I suppose they get no such offer from them, absolutely, they really don't.
10:41 --> 10:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Ben, to work for him.
10:43 --> 10:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of whiskey, I think we could do which you watch in almost every single point in this episode because we have in our opening here our first of our whiskey watches for the episode.
10:52 --> 11:05 [SPEAKER_01]: The label is probably homemade whiskey is given by Ben to Silverman and I love how Brad and Jason plays this throughout where he kind of takes a little set of those and then you just see it hit in the back of his throat and he almost throws this
11:08 --> 11:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but potentially it might be bourbon, so it would be rougher, you know, or a little bit of fiery And given the whiskey watch which will come up later in the episode very how it just happened to be one of my favorite whiskey
11:23 --> 11:42 [SPEAKER_02]: And so it is going to interesting here, yeah, just having that nice little pillar pattern between Ben and Silvermain, you know, the main protagonists of this show or at least some of them, but Silvermain looking for Ben's help, you know,
11:53 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_02]: arrest him with the shipment of illegal boots and and I do like how this sets up the the episodes really where you have self-mains saying people lie only money tells the true absolutely.
12:10 --> 12:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Follow the money kind of thing.
12:12 --> 12:27 [SPEAKER_02]: which is very well known saying, but I'd just like how it applies here and I like how that following the retainer and the initial payment by Silvermain Ben is quick enough to realize that he marks his bill.
12:27 --> 12:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
12:28 --> 12:32 [SPEAKER_02]: And he's also going to give a bonus if he solves the case as well.
12:32 --> 12:39 [SPEAKER_02]: And not just this $100 sort of retainer and additional initial,
12:41 --> 12:42 [SPEAKER_02]: cash up front.
12:42 --> 12:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but also, and I think about this.
12:45 --> 12:57 [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's just looking at one hundred dollar bill, but I think there's a few others in that envelope that he gives as a retainer, so he's being paid very well for this, like Janet even questions that she kind of says, hang on a second, the way you settle this whole situation is when they're working for him.
12:58 --> 13:01 [SPEAKER_01]: That's not what I was expecting, Bush.
13:01 --> 13:06 [SPEAKER_01]: This is the way around it, and again, by the end of the episode, you realize he's playing a whole game here.
13:07 --> 13:10 [SPEAKER_01]: So he's using every trick in the book.
13:10 --> 13:14 [SPEAKER_01]: I really like seeing this four bands character in this episode.
13:14 --> 13:16 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, he is a private investigator.
13:16 --> 13:20 [SPEAKER_01]: That's the big difference between him and all the other Spider-Man out there in the multiverse.
13:21 --> 13:37 [SPEAKER_01]: This character is a private investigator, and we see a couple of times him making investigative leaps that only someone who was good at their job makes, I don't even see Janets reacted to that, and Ben going to her, well, you know, I do have this job for a reason, you know?
13:38 --> 13:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, absolutely.
13:40 --> 13:44 [SPEAKER_02]: I love how some of these come to the fore in this episode.
13:44 --> 13:52 [SPEAKER_02]: I think the other interesting little thing here is we have Silverman arriving and saying, you know, Finn Burn.
13:53 --> 14:05 [SPEAKER_02]: And actually giving his real damn thing here as a Finn Bar burn, which is kind of interesting because I wondered what he was saying initially and I was like, oh, no, that's actually his name, yeah, that's Finn Bar.
14:05 --> 14:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Finn Bar Burn.
14:06 --> 14:07 [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
14:08 --> 14:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Good to get his real name, just his straight name.
14:11 --> 14:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, exactly.
14:12 --> 14:14 [SPEAKER_01]: He's not a really cold silver man.
14:15 --> 14:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and Fimbar Buren will be a very Irish name, of course.
14:18 --> 14:23 [SPEAKER_01]: And Bren, we've mentioned Bren and Cleason, really playing up as Irish accents throughout the early episodes.
14:24 --> 14:26 [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about silver man from the comic books.
14:26 --> 14:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Back at the start of the season.
14:29 --> 14:34 [SPEAKER_01]: And just to mention, again, the other reason why Silverman had the name was because he had silver hair in black and white.
14:35 --> 14:37 [SPEAKER_01]: It stands out really well on Brendan Gleason.
14:37 --> 14:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
14:37 --> 14:39 [SPEAKER_01]: I've got a silver mark through his hair.
14:39 --> 14:47 [SPEAKER_01]: And then that was the joke earlier on in the season from Ben going to think he likes being called Silverman because he's got a silver streak through his hair.
14:48 --> 14:48 [SPEAKER_01]: And so.
14:49 --> 15:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Interestingly, in the comic books, the character is not called Fennburn, he's called Silvio Manfredi, which would be a very quick link between Silvermain and Silvio Manfredi, right?
15:00 --> 15:03 [SPEAKER_01]: That's a very close link between those things.
15:03 --> 15:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely not just because he's got a silver streak in his hair.
15:05 --> 15:10 [SPEAKER_02]: And of course, hailing from the Italian organised crime family is rather than the Irish organised crime family.
15:10 --> 15:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
15:11 --> 15:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
15:11 --> 15:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
15:12 --> 15:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Excellent stuff.
15:13 --> 15:14 [SPEAKER_01]: So a bit different.
15:14 --> 15:16 [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a for a first web shot shot.
15:16 --> 15:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let us get into our web shot number two.
15:23 --> 15:25 [SPEAKER_02]: It's a hospital visit.
15:25 --> 15:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, by Officer Battnik.
15:28 --> 15:32 [SPEAKER_02]: And the last from the Office's Benevolent Association.
15:32 --> 15:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Do you think Nicholas Cage chose the name of this character?
15:36 --> 15:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Because we know he is a very big Batman fan.
15:39 --> 15:42 [SPEAKER_01]: We know he's a very big investigative fan.
15:43 --> 15:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Part of the reason why he's on board here for Spider-Man, and why rather than just a regular Spider-Man role is because he really likes that.
15:50 --> 16:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Dark, nice, bass, man, quality, so instead of Batman, it's Batman, it's Batman, Nick, this is the character, maybe, it's a, you do wonder, but it's a nice little kind of montage here that happens in the hospital.
16:06 --> 16:09 [SPEAKER_01]: It could of course just be a play on beat, Nick.
16:09 --> 16:19 [SPEAKER_02]: It could be, yeah, I mean, but it's, I like how it kind of comes in, plays nice and fanceful with the non-nurs effectively and is like,
16:20 --> 16:35 [SPEAKER_02]: It finds out that it's Petrolman Jones is the first person, so it's kind of starting at the base of the triangle, and talks to Petrolman Jones about, you know, you're kind of like the cannon fodder you get in Russian first, you're the one facing all the bullets.
16:36 --> 16:40 [SPEAKER_02]: which leads to, well, who told you to get down there?
16:40 --> 16:41 [SPEAKER_02]: It was like Sergeant Miller.
16:41 --> 16:43 [SPEAKER_02]: So we have him with Sergeant Miller.
16:43 --> 16:48 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, who told you to go, where and is ends up being with Lieutenant Dawn?
16:49 --> 16:57 [SPEAKER_02]: And it ends up with him saying, well, we had only hours to prep and rather than weeks or or days.
16:57 --> 17:01 [SPEAKER_02]: And because it was coming from the higher up, so it was the
17:03 --> 17:06 [SPEAKER_02]: and that was coming ultimately from their Morris.
17:06 --> 17:24 [SPEAKER_02]: I reckon it's like I like this notion that Ben Riley is starting to sort of form this picture of the maybe the magnitude of the problems or potential adversary that Silverman is finding.
17:24 --> 17:27 [SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of setting it in context and around
17:28 --> 17:34 [SPEAKER_02]: who the rat might be, but it's someone who can go direct to Miramarus.
17:34 --> 17:35 [SPEAKER_02]: So effectively, yeah.
17:35 --> 17:36 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
17:36 --> 17:42 [SPEAKER_02]: So I just like how it kind of played out where, you know, he's presenting himself as this,
17:45 --> 17:59 [SPEAKER_02]: of the benevolent association in order to help them pay for their medical and to help them sort of get some compensation because it's the person higher up who's at fault here.
17:59 --> 18:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, kind of just it felt a little like the junklies and the Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett's sketch of
18:09 --> 18:12 [SPEAKER_02]: I look up at him because I am lower class.
18:12 --> 18:14 [SPEAKER_02]: I look down on it kind of thing.
18:14 --> 18:17 [SPEAKER_01]: It had that quality.
18:17 --> 18:21 [SPEAKER_02]: That kind of well-known comedy sketch that happened with those three comedians.
18:21 --> 18:25 [SPEAKER_01]: I think there was John Klies's first appearance on TV with the two runnings.
18:26 --> 18:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Meanwhile, in my notes, I've written down Pratoma Jones, shoulder, sergeant Miller, leg, done ass, which is where each of them got shot.
18:33 --> 18:35 [SPEAKER_01]: It's worth a bit to this article.
18:36 --> 18:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Really like this, and I know there's a reference here, and I'm sure people would be sure that me for not getting it.
18:42 --> 18:44 [SPEAKER_01]: It's how Nicholas Cage talks to each of them.
18:45 --> 18:50 [SPEAKER_01]: He's a really old school impression of a character from New Armovies.
18:51 --> 19:12 [SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember whether it's the Humphrey Boger water not so I'm actually myself that I don't know well enough but as he's talking he's going you're sitting there and you're the one that gets the directions from the higher up sea and just the way he says sea at the end of every sentence I know that's a reference to to some old at noir movies from the 40s and 50s and I just couldn't find it because searching up
19:13 --> 19:20 [SPEAKER_01]: the word see at the end of a sentence in the war movies that got me nothing and so sometimes it'd be better googling skills than I have.
19:20 --> 19:23 [SPEAKER_01]: So if you do know the answer to that, who is a referencing?
19:23 --> 19:26 [SPEAKER_01]: What's the impression email us into feedback at TV podcast?
19:26 --> 19:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
19:27 --> 19:27 [SPEAKER_01]: I love to know.
19:27 --> 19:30 [SPEAKER_02]: But it just feels very sort of...
19:31 --> 19:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I've heard it, I mean, I can't really hear the voices doing, but I just don't know who it is.
19:36 --> 19:36 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
19:37 --> 19:39 [SPEAKER_02]: It feels immediately familiar.
19:39 --> 19:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's really well done.
19:41 --> 19:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
19:42 --> 19:45 [SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, that's kind of almost like the start of his kind of...
19:47 --> 20:10 [SPEAKER_02]: investigation here because not only is he sort of setting in context but he does go to visit Cat Hardy where, you know, he effectively confronts us saying that she's, you know, in deep fashionising with Morris when he's, you know, he's also he's looking to end prohibition which would go against silver maids interests.
20:11 --> 20:25 [SPEAKER_02]: In a sense, Kat Hardy, as this investigation goes on, it is seen to be the sort of crucible at which all these things pass through whether it is with seeing her meeting with Maris.
20:25 --> 20:33 [SPEAKER_02]: We do have comedy back here as well, where he is found out that he is basically a smart merchant, I think, is
20:34 --> 20:48 [SPEAKER_02]: How is described by Ben Riley, but basically says I got a tip off that the memoirist was meeting with the lazy, a club singer during an election year, it would be good money making.
20:48 --> 20:51 [SPEAKER_01]: So, it's going to take the photos and sell them to the library.
20:51 --> 20:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Not the woman's husband at all, so it's all kind of
20:59 --> 21:03 [SPEAKER_02]: this little crucible around Kat Hardy doing from a few things here.
21:03 --> 21:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, like, you know, and again, confirming what both Ben and Jonathan when Kermity arrived at the office in that first episode, who the hell is this guy?
21:11 --> 21:13 [SPEAKER_01]: There's no way he's married.
21:13 --> 21:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Just someone, yeah.
21:14 --> 21:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
21:15 --> 21:26 [SPEAKER_01]: But I do love another great Nicholas Cage moment when he's talking to the the drunk guy on the side of the street, trying to find out where Kermity is and the description of and that he gives, there's no way you could possibly connect
21:28 --> 21:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Just he talks about his smell and he talks about the fact that he's overweight But there's no real way that the guy could have guessed, but he does he guess the guy is the person is and also I much prefer your notes because what I've got in my notes is You're talking about the crucible the cats in I've got Ben there's the cats the rat and you need to diversion Yeah exactly the cat is the rat Technically cat is the rat, yes, and I had to say
21:52 --> 21:53 [SPEAKER_02]: or crucible.
21:53 --> 21:54 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess much better.
21:54 --> 21:56 [SPEAKER_01]: I just thought I'd say it that way.
21:56 --> 22:04 [SPEAKER_02]: But I think mainly because Bennosis, no one else really has figured it out in a good stage.
22:04 --> 22:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
22:05 --> 22:14 [SPEAKER_02]: I think the other thing we do get the sense here is that Winston has his nose a little bit out of joint because
22:16 --> 22:21 [SPEAKER_02]: Someone else to discover the rat in the organization and not his right hand man.
22:21 --> 22:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and not his kind of enforcer and Investigator within the organization.
22:26 --> 22:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I kind of liked that notion as well.
22:28 --> 22:34 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love that idea because straight off you've got Winston knowing that he's In the cross series as well, right?
22:35 --> 22:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
22:35 --> 22:39 [SPEAKER_01]: You don't trust you right hand man to investigate that means you suspect you're right man.
22:39 --> 22:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Right hand man might be involved
22:41 --> 22:46 [SPEAKER_01]: And that's set up from the beginning, especially with Ben having the conversation with Silverman as well.
22:47 --> 22:56 [SPEAKER_01]: He talks to him about it and kind of says, well, you know, if someone comes to you and says they have all of the answers, then you might suspect that it's them rather than rather than somebody else, right?
22:56 --> 22:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
22:57 --> 22:59 [SPEAKER_01]: So setting things up from the start.
23:00 --> 23:03 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, when he realizes it's Catholic who is the Rashi does need a bit of cover.
23:03 --> 23:06 [SPEAKER_01]: So he goes and pays a visit to Vera at a Sim once again.
23:11 --> 23:18 [SPEAKER_01]: ill-gotten gains in the hotel, but looking for a bit more, and she does connect the dots when Ben's talking to her.
23:18 --> 23:21 [SPEAKER_01]: And then asks for, well, a grant to keep quiet.
23:21 --> 23:24 [SPEAKER_01]: That seems like a lot of money back in the Peckon 33.
23:24 --> 23:25 [SPEAKER_02]: I would say it is.
23:25 --> 23:26 [SPEAKER_02]: That's a depression.
23:26 --> 23:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would say it's a huge amount of money.
23:29 --> 23:32 [SPEAKER_02]: But I like that she plays him.
23:32 --> 23:34 [SPEAKER_02]: It feels like it's probably how she's played
23:39 --> 23:49 [SPEAKER_02]: then if actually tells her to leave town because she's connected the dots because she and he then tells her that it's cat.
23:49 --> 23:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Much of it helps.
23:51 --> 23:51 [SPEAKER_02]: She knows what
23:53 --> 24:05 [SPEAKER_02]: But then I just tell Silverman and I can go to him and tell Silverman so I kind of like that she plays this little game with him and he then offers the thousand dollars.
24:05 --> 24:08 [SPEAKER_01]: The very smart woman of the very smart femme fatale here, I guess.
24:09 --> 24:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and in the show.
24:10 --> 24:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Very cool.
24:11 --> 24:29 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think then the really interesting thing is that at Sylvan's apartment, the top of the hotel, where he's staying, you have this conversation between Ben and Sylvan, where he says, you know who it is, don't you?
24:29 --> 24:33 [SPEAKER_02]: And Ben says, don't matter what I know until I can prove it.
24:34 --> 24:57 [SPEAKER_02]: I do like it when people talk about entropy and self-manage talks about inner hair or the universe moves to disorder, what I'm trying to do is keep the chaos from my door for as long as possible because he works in a very, very dangerous profession and needs to keep that chaos
25:04 --> 25:12 [SPEAKER_02]: the blood, the violence, the name of the game, and plus, we also do get the other whiskey watch.
25:12 --> 25:13 [SPEAKER_02]: We do, yes.
25:13 --> 25:18 [SPEAKER_02]: And he says, do fancy a bit of the green spot, and that is green spot whiskey.
25:19 --> 25:24 [SPEAKER_02]: I presume he's referring to whether green spot was around then, and not entirely sure.
25:25 --> 25:45 [SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know and like what I mean is jamesons or like tollow or and powers all these different whiskeys, like absolutely and I think even like red breasts maybe it was a reimagining of an older label that was brought back.
25:45 --> 25:49 [SPEAKER_02]: So maybe greenspotters as well and or it was
25:50 --> 26:13 [SPEAKER_01]: you know it's been mainstreamed more whatever it is and I'm guessing it's a great whiskey I'm guessing someone like so remain will have his connections and remember he's in the legal alcohol trade the legal liquor trade so he may be getting stuff directly delivered from his home country directly to them so so get an Irish whiskey and that's something as special as green spot seems like something good too yeah
26:13 --> 26:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and there's a nice connection then into the next episode, we'll talk about on the next episode, but it makes a lot of sense given the whiskey.
26:23 --> 26:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Support this for the next episode.
26:25 --> 26:28 [SPEAKER_02]: On there, intrigue, intrigue.
26:28 --> 26:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Alexate, I like it, okay?
26:29 --> 26:33 [SPEAKER_01]: We're living up to living up to the noir aspect of the show ourselves.
26:34 --> 26:40 [SPEAKER_01]: I do want to talk about one great shot that's in there as well, when Silvermain is standing on the balcony.
26:40 --> 26:45 [SPEAKER_01]: with Ben and their chatting away about, you know, the danger in their lives, basically.
26:45 --> 26:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Behind them, it looks like Central Park, Bush, not the Central Park we know now, Central Park back in the 30s when depression, era has just kicked in, and it looks like there's a lot of different, um,
26:58 --> 27:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Shanty Tans effectively been set up in Central Park and look at the skyline itself of New York is very different to what we know today with mass of high rises only just being built around the time of the Depression.
27:11 --> 27:19 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's a lot flatter than we see there, but the park itself also looks like it's got lots of camps in it which becomes important later on in the episode Bush.
27:19 --> 27:22 [SPEAKER_01]: But you just thought it was interesting to see it in the skyline and that's seen.
27:22 --> 27:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely absolutely, very cool.
27:25 --> 27:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Great stuff, man.
27:27 --> 27:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Derek, show we get onto our webshot number three.
27:33 --> 27:37 [SPEAKER_01]: That's not the only visitor in the episode that Ben pays to Silverman.
27:37 --> 27:42 [SPEAKER_01]: So our webshot number four is the spider enters Silverman's layer.
27:42 --> 27:50 [SPEAKER_01]: And while he's there on the balcony having the chat with Silverman, Ben locks the door open using his weapon.
27:51 --> 27:52 [SPEAKER_01]: So he can come back later that nice.
27:53 --> 27:57 [SPEAKER_01]: and crawl through the haste of self-made.
27:57 --> 28:06 [SPEAKER_01]: What a cool scene this is, a little bit in black and white, particularly as you see, just the eyes of the spider while he's... Do I almost act like a little headlight?
28:06 --> 28:07 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I really enjoyed that.
28:08 --> 28:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that made a lot of sense for a detective as well.
28:10 --> 28:18 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's kind of also just that really early edition version of what we see with the stock.
28:19 --> 28:32 [SPEAKER_02]: pimping out of this is by the suit with all the different interface, you know, and they're the electronic hood and that start gives to Peter Parker with the new Spidey suit.
28:32 --> 28:38 [SPEAKER_02]: So I really like how that's one was like a version, you know, 0.1 by the mic.
28:38 --> 28:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
28:38 --> 28:39 [SPEAKER_02]: We'll give him light.
28:39 --> 28:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, at least they can see in the dark, but it also looks really like the pulled comic books, yeah, you know, just that idea of the of the really Why you sit on really black the contrast between the boat both those absolutely remind of me it's in city as well exactly that was that to me was where that that kind of sincissy
28:57 --> 29:18 [SPEAKER_02]: sort of aesthetic really popped here and and we see him using his bat sense as well to open up the safe in Silverman's apartment so then he can get some of those marked bills and specifically as well so that he can also get his thousand dollars that he's going to pay via it in with marked bills.
29:18 --> 29:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
29:19 --> 29:19 [SPEAKER_02]: And so
29:20 --> 29:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I really enjoyed this.
29:22 --> 29:36 [SPEAKER_02]: I also liked the little moment where he basically gets Frankie the kid to act as his decoys well, because he is being followed by silver mains and Winston's informants.
29:36 --> 29:39 [SPEAKER_02]: So I just liked the fact that
29:40 --> 29:57 [SPEAKER_02]: he's kind of on a chair he's got the trillby's got the coach but yeah not just that he basically tells Frankie to pretend to be here you know exactly smoke a scene drink with me be cool be me exactly and so yeah that was that was really good fun
29:58 --> 30:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, as the fact that Frankie's listening to a radio driver, which is welcoming all detective kids along, so he's able to stay up late at night, pretend to be, to pretend to be the detective and listen into the detective show, because he's still a kid at the end.
30:13 --> 30:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so yeah, very cool.
30:36 --> 30:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we do have self-made looking onto the bed, which is good, but yeah, no, it really nice seen this, I think, with the spider entering silver mains layer.
30:50 --> 30:52 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure we get into webshot 4.
30:52 --> 30:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
30:56 --> 30:59 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, webshop for Monsters at a large.
31:00 --> 31:02 [SPEAKER_01]: This was the other element of the episode.
31:02 --> 31:06 [SPEAKER_01]: This is going right back to the beginning of the episode where we learned a bit of the investigative skill of Japan.
31:07 --> 31:09 [SPEAKER_01]: It was really obvious to him and nobody else.
31:09 --> 31:18 [SPEAKER_01]: He just thinks about it for a second with the photograph of the three guys, Addison Lincoln and Flint Marko.
31:18 --> 31:20 [SPEAKER_01]: The photograph of the three of them together, he kind of went, well, hang on a second.
31:20 --> 31:21 [SPEAKER_01]: It's World War I.
31:23 --> 31:27 [SPEAKER_01]: these three men couldn't possibly have been in the same company cause of segregation at the time.
31:27 --> 31:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they definitely wouldn't have been together.
31:29 --> 31:35 [SPEAKER_01]: So he realizes that the only reason why these guys could be together is because maybe they're POWs, right?
31:35 --> 31:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
31:36 --> 31:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Been prisonless before.
31:37 --> 31:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that was really, that was a nice little moment where him and Janice and Robbie
31:47 --> 31:48 [SPEAKER_02]: sort of looking at this photo.
31:50 --> 32:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Robby leaves before Silverman arrives here and ends up heading off to try and find Lonnie Lincoln again to find more on Flint Marco, how he knows the him, how what's the association, you know, trying to back up confirm validate Ben's investigative
32:17 --> 32:33 [SPEAKER_02]: sort of in the middle of a police raid on the kind of illegal camps or slums that have built up in New York during the depression and which had been cleared by the cops.
32:35 --> 32:39 [SPEAKER_02]: far from on high again another order of Mermaris.
32:40 --> 32:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe because he knows Silverman is recruiting people from here and he is also looking for Flint or Addison or even Lonnie.
32:52 --> 32:53 [SPEAKER_02]: So we have...
32:54 --> 33:00 [SPEAKER_02]: Robbie coming into investigate, but this is where we see that Lonnie Lincoln also has superpowers.
33:00 --> 33:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes we do, yes we do.
33:02 --> 33:10 [SPEAKER_01]: And so I didn't catch a first-class Lonnie Lincoln is a character, kind of known in the comic books, I kind of well known in the comic books.
33:10 --> 33:16 [SPEAKER_01]: He's usually referred to by the name Tombstone, but he was also in the friendly neighborhood Spiderman that animated series
33:17 --> 33:34 [SPEAKER_01]: Last year I think the second season of that's coming up soon and the character is called Lally Lincoln in that show, so I should have guessed who was the second we saw his name, but I just don't know the character well enough, but yeah he's been in the Spider-Man video game, he's been in that animated series and loads of other animated shows over the years, so I definitely should have recognised.
33:34 --> 33:37 [SPEAKER_01]: who tombstone or a Lonnie Lincoln was.
33:37 --> 33:53 [SPEAKER_01]: But I do love that we have the back-to-back team up of the two of these guys, Lincoln and Marco, as they both exposed their powers to the world, effectively, under the watchful photographic gaze of Robbie as he's taking the photographs of police coming in to beat them all, and
33:53 --> 34:12 [SPEAKER_02]: I like the camera work that I'll probably be taking the pictures also having to step out from a few police trenches as well because they're going after everyone here so yeah the focus becomes about Lonnie and Flint because that's where the main attack or defense of this camp is coming
34:18 --> 34:22 [SPEAKER_02]: is blackmailed in this camp, probably for game for the cops in this era.
34:22 --> 34:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
34:23 --> 34:36 [SPEAKER_01]: And like he's shetting going, you know, no, but I'm a reporter and they don't care, you know, given how recently the world's war would have happened, you know, him claiming that he's a reporter in this zone taking photographs from the newspaper.
34:37 --> 34:56 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, as recently as the as World War I, if you say that, you're treated in a very different way than people who are participating in a riot aren't you usually taken off to the side as a reporter right, but here he he's about to get attacked if it wasn't for a body being thrown across the whole area one of the cops being thrown across across the whole area by by
34:57 --> 35:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Lonnie, he would have been beaten with a truncheon, you know, but that's not where it ends for him.
35:03 --> 35:07 [SPEAKER_01]: He takes all the photographs, he writes up the story and he goes back to his old job with the bugle.
35:07 --> 35:16 [SPEAKER_01]: I think we'd speculated an episode to use to work for the bugle, as he does in regular comic book stories, and Harry talks to editor Walters.
35:17 --> 35:24 [SPEAKER_01]: The guy he used to work for in the past and tries to sell him this story something brand new in the past Used to be able to sell the stories of the spider and everybody loved it.
35:24 --> 35:37 [SPEAKER_01]: It's so the papers off the shelves And here he has photographs of two brand new super's brand who are protecting people in these who verivills that they call the Slums that have been established in New York.
35:37 --> 35:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
35:38 --> 35:38 [SPEAKER_01]: He's got all the photographs.
35:38 --> 35:40 [SPEAKER_01]: He's got all the story here.
35:40 --> 35:49 [SPEAKER_01]: He sells it to Walter's Walter seems really interested in us But when he's tries to push him a little bit about maybe he gets his old desk back or his old job back So he can do even more stories like this.
35:49 --> 35:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Walter seems very non-commital Absolutely It suddenly feels like a segregation or a race issue again here.
35:59 --> 36:01 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I like how this show
36:02 --> 36:24 [SPEAKER_02]: it is absolutely pulling on these points that it's not just doing kind of the depression or, you know, the 20s, 30s from, you know, a white person's point of view because because there was the diversity even back then, you know, and so I kind of liked this.
36:25 --> 36:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I think, yeah, you really get the sense
36:30 --> 36:52 [SPEAKER_02]: kept on after the spider finished or was fired or just let go because effectively he was black and it's even less just this nice touch where Walter's kind of just says close the door on the way out and Robbie just leaves it open and again this is kind of a sense here that
36:52 --> 36:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Robbie didn't hear him or whether he was just making his point.
36:55 --> 36:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh no, Robbie definitely heard of him.
36:57 --> 36:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he asks him what did you say you want to.
36:59 --> 37:02 [SPEAKER_01]: And he said, closed and Robbie leaves it open as he walks into the door.
37:02 --> 37:05 [SPEAKER_01]: There's, there's been some major problem with these guys.
37:05 --> 37:11 [SPEAKER_01]: And probably stems back to what happened after the spider, hung up his, hung up his mask.
37:12 --> 37:14 [SPEAKER_01]: But also, they feel like there's an underlying tension there.
37:14 --> 37:16 [SPEAKER_01]: He's from the, from the race around the world.
37:16 --> 37:18 [SPEAKER_01]: So again, glad they're not avoiding that.
37:18 --> 37:20 [SPEAKER_01]: And they're actually talking about it in the show as well.
37:23 --> 37:24 [SPEAKER_02]: I think, yeah, exactly.
37:25 --> 37:31 [SPEAKER_02]: And just coming back to Hooverville, the name of the camp that is raided by the cops.
37:32 --> 37:39 [SPEAKER_02]: So at the time, the president was Herbert Hoover, so joining the onset of the Depression.
37:40 --> 37:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Famously, the Hoover Dam is named after Herbert Hoover as well.
37:44 --> 37:45 [SPEAKER_02]: The big
37:53 --> 37:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Possibly.
37:53 --> 37:58 [SPEAKER_01]: I suspect not I suspect that could be from another person called who the jack or whoever?
37:58 --> 37:59 [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, not in me there.
38:00 --> 38:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, right.
38:00 --> 38:01 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure we'll find out what's in point.
38:02 --> 38:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Very good.
38:03 --> 38:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's just a really nice touch there They're calling them.
38:07 --> 38:12 [SPEAKER_01]: These who reveals that which would be correct for the time as well.
38:13 --> 38:24 [SPEAKER_01]: But the story is bought by Walters, Robby's story, and then when he reads it in the newspaper, they've changed all the words, they've rewritten everything that's that he'd written, to be much more favorable to the cops.
38:25 --> 38:27 [SPEAKER_01]: I think the headline is Monsters Among Us, something like that.
38:28 --> 38:37 [SPEAKER_01]: And the whole story is about the police going into help out all of the impoverished citizens from the attack by these two supervillains.
38:38 --> 38:39 [SPEAKER_01]: absolutely.
38:40 --> 38:43 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think there's two things from this.
38:43 --> 38:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Not only do we see that Robby's article has been completely changed by Walters again, another sign of disrespect from him, but also we have them wanting to, um,
38:58 --> 39:14 [SPEAKER_02]: get a direct line to the spider, he asks Ben Riley to get him in touch with the spider because of these other soups around, also to help with his, I guess, reelection maybe, but also
39:16 --> 39:34 [SPEAKER_02]: the notion of monsters, I think the interesting kind of little flip on that that happens here, as well, is we do have cat and flint coming back together, and here for a very brief moment, but, and for me, this was like this really typical, it's the love story.
39:34 --> 39:37 [SPEAKER_02]: The tragic love story between the two.
39:37 --> 39:47 [SPEAKER_02]: it starts off in this moment in the scene as hopeful, you know, I don't care, leave with me, go pack a bag and he's all going to do it.
39:47 --> 39:55 [SPEAKER_02]: He wants to do it and then he starts to turn into sand again on his fist as he holds it.
39:55 --> 40:03 [SPEAKER_02]: His condition seems to have possibly been getting worse, but that's when he says no, it's a fantasy that I could have this life that I could have you.
40:04 --> 40:07 [SPEAKER_02]: It felt very gone with the wind, in terms of the way it was done.
40:09 --> 40:11 [SPEAKER_02]: It was a really nice little moment, but ultimately...
40:11 --> 40:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
40:13 --> 40:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Kathy did give it to me.
40:14 --> 40:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, well, exactly.
40:16 --> 40:24 [SPEAKER_02]: But just this notion that Cat and Flint, it is a tragic love story here for the two of them, because of his condition.
40:24 --> 40:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
40:25 --> 40:32 [SPEAKER_01]: There's always been something in the Spider-Man myth-offs in the comic books and the villain creation.
40:32 --> 40:37 [SPEAKER_01]: that when they get creative, usually by as an experiment gone wrong, that it affects their brain chemistry as well.
40:38 --> 40:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Now it's always been something in much more in I think, anyway, in the spider villains, you know.
40:43 --> 40:46 [SPEAKER_01]: And so we kind of see that a little bit here with Flint that, um,
40:47 --> 40:52 [SPEAKER_01]: as he's changing and realizing that he can't just be a man, he's going to turn into sand.
40:52 --> 40:58 [SPEAKER_01]: He seems to get more angry and a bit more aggressive as well, you know, it's like his, he's not going to write mine 20s transforming into the sand.
40:58 --> 40:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
40:59 --> 41:04 [SPEAKER_01]: And we saw that with the other flint market that we saw in the Spiderman movies, the the Toby Mughara ones,
41:05 --> 41:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Their version of Sandman seems to be quite similar and and very focused on one thing and not willing to listen to what anybody else's opinion is You know, it always seems to be that he's he's mine seems to be a little bit broken by What's happened to it?
41:21 --> 41:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely so I like that they've kind of kept that thread there Hey, it's by the man.
41:25 --> 41:26 [SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna keep the threads going right.
41:26 --> 41:33 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah Should we keep our web shot threads going with web shot number five?
41:36 --> 41:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, our final web shot, the rat gets it, or does he, or does she?
41:42 --> 41:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the complex plan that Ben has been weaving, find the kind of comes through and works.
41:50 --> 42:02 [SPEAKER_01]: So we have Ben going to the Penn Station where he sees cats there and trying to talk around out of leaving the city and finding out what's happening with her, but Winston finds the two of them together and brings them along.
42:03 --> 42:07 [SPEAKER_01]: with him to meet Silverman and finally meet their end as he thinks.
42:07 --> 42:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, there's a grace moment in this as well.
42:10 --> 42:19 [SPEAKER_01]: The car conversation that they have with Winston and the front and Ben and Cat and the back where it's all being conducted with the mirror on the screen.
42:19 --> 42:20 [SPEAKER_01]: It just looks so cool.
42:20 --> 42:21 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a really good
42:21 --> 42:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Awesome shot, I love it.
42:23 --> 42:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Just because of how it's all framed together.
42:25 --> 42:40 [SPEAKER_01]: But when they arrive at Silvermains, Ben kind of reiterates what he says about what he had said about the man with all the answers Maybe the one responsible and from that point onwards he's setting up Winston to be the one to take the fall.
42:40 --> 42:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I really love it as the as everything on folds, you know, everything from the money that he gave to Vera
42:51 --> 42:53 [SPEAKER_02]: It's really good.
42:53 --> 42:54 [SPEAKER_02]: It's really well done actually.
42:54 --> 42:55 [SPEAKER_02]: It's classic as well.
42:56 --> 43:02 [SPEAKER_02]: It's, I mean, Bush's somewhere open grave as being Doug for one person.
43:03 --> 43:04 [SPEAKER_02]: I like as well.
43:04 --> 43:08 [SPEAKER_02]: The references, you know, people lie only money tells the truth then.
43:09 --> 43:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Then Riley kind of fires that back out
43:19 --> 43:38 [SPEAKER_02]: robbery from sort of a main safe with an early moment where he has a conversation with Winston and in that moment Ben greets him as higher Mr. Whiskers might eat the rats and you know like this is kind of where Winston is in the sense almost marking his territory and that
43:39 --> 43:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Ben's coming in here and he's like, well, I don't care who you find, what you find, how are you Investigate, I don't care no matter who the person's favorite singer is You know come to me first, but ultimately in this moment
43:57 --> 44:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Winston feels its cat, thinks that's where it will lead, that's where his suspicion is, is telling Ben Riley will come to me first and you know, in a sense, working together, that's how it's, it leaves me.
44:14 --> 44:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Ben Riley does rely on them up a bit, but
44:18 --> 44:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Winston gives him some cash.
44:20 --> 44:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, he rather than want to get a bit of cash.
44:23 --> 44:26 [SPEAKER_02]: So that he can get the bills.
44:26 --> 44:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Silverman gives to Winston marked in a particular way, so he knows that it is Winston's bills.
44:34 --> 44:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Then it gets threaded into the thousands, into Vera, Addison's $1
44:46 --> 44:49 [SPEAKER_02]: in the bushes, it looks as though Winston has paid her off.
44:49 --> 44:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, and particularly because Ben's Mark all of her $1 with exactly the same way that the silver-mein would have, which I love.
44:58 --> 45:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do love this idea of there's so many people that's sort of main pays off, and to know which ones of the closest people to them that he can trust he marks them all with a different way.
45:06 --> 45:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Mark's cats one way.
45:08 --> 45:10 [SPEAKER_01]: He marks Winston's another way.
45:10 --> 45:13 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure he marks all the rest of his men in different ways as well.
45:13 --> 45:27 [SPEAKER_01]: loaded loads of them would never have even noticed that all their bills are marked the same way, but the smarts have been has picked that age and has that allowed him to find proof and evidence that Winston was the one responsible, even though he know that's cat.
45:28 --> 45:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
45:29 --> 45:35 [SPEAKER_01]: So this is just excellent throughout the episode that Ben has been working this whole angle.
45:35 --> 45:42 [SPEAKER_02]: I love the way that Ben also just plays Silvermain in this moment, because Silvermain is a while he can, you know, he is
45:44 --> 45:58 [SPEAKER_02]: He's so suspicious that he becomes clever of almost because of it, because he's always thinking of the angles of the deception that may come on him from someone else.
46:01 --> 46:04 [SPEAKER_02]: alert in that sense to the danger.
46:04 --> 46:15 [SPEAKER_02]: So I just like how he talks in round as they fight ultimately giving back to Silvermain, what Silvermain had already suggested Ben goes for.
46:16 --> 46:21 [SPEAKER_02]: So he allows Winston to just have that conversation at the start.
46:21 --> 46:22 [SPEAKER_02]: So there's like here's the Mart.
46:22 --> 46:24 [SPEAKER_02]: I just say here's the guy.
46:25 --> 46:27 [SPEAKER_02]: with all the information.
46:27 --> 46:28 [SPEAKER_02]: And then with the morning.
46:28 --> 46:29 [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, great stuff.
46:29 --> 46:35 [SPEAKER_02]: And I do like that it leaves and kind of ends there with something saying it.
46:36 --> 46:41 [SPEAKER_02]: can you dig another hole as his gun goes off again?
46:41 --> 46:43 [SPEAKER_02]: I see, I got some shoots again, yeah.
46:43 --> 46:59 [SPEAKER_02]: So, I eventually knew who it was before we watched the other, the fourth episode, but initially I assumed it was there, and because Sylvanas asked,
47:01 --> 47:07 [SPEAKER_02]: Ben to dig the new grave and the shot went off immediately after.
47:07 --> 47:10 [SPEAKER_02]: So you wouldn't have had time to dig the grave.
47:10 --> 47:22 [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it would be but then it is I think we can come to the the spoil of that when we cover episode full next episode Exactly exactly.
47:22 --> 47:27 [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's it for our main points on the absolutely notes that you wanted to mention John that we didn't have the chance to talk about
47:31 --> 47:42 [SPEAKER_01]: The only one I want to mention is just a little Ben at the supposedly broken paper where the lady comes up and he's like, it's a public phone, sorry it's broken.
47:42 --> 47:48 [SPEAKER_01]: You know it's the second one I've seen this morning as he eats a massive sandwich going there's one over by the sandwich shop that's broken too.
47:48 --> 47:59 [SPEAKER_01]: And then the phone rings and he gets the phone call from janitor given directions to where he's where he's going to next and then just looks at the lady eating a mate full of sandwich and finishes the mate full of sandwich and goes,
48:05 --> 48:15 [SPEAKER_01]: And we've already gone through all of our whiskey watches, I think, we have a lot of lots of whiskey drunk in this episode, some absolutely horrible and some top quality.
48:16 --> 48:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, great stuff.
48:17 --> 48:21 [SPEAKER_01]: So, John, do you defend this episode of Spider-Man War episode 3, Double Cross?
48:22 --> 48:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I really do.
48:23 --> 48:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I give this five slew things spiders out of five.
48:28 --> 48:31 [SPEAKER_02]: I just love the whole setup and premise of it.
48:31 --> 48:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Proper detective work planned out, teed up by Ben Riley, and so that in a sense,
48:45 --> 48:47 [SPEAKER_02]: So I really enjoyed this.
48:47 --> 49:02 [SPEAKER_02]: I love the elements between Flint Marco and Kat as well that tragic love piece between the two of them and not too sure what he's going to do now but you know it'll be interesting to see that moving forwards.
49:02 --> 49:05 [SPEAKER_02]: I love the bombshell at the end with what he's
49:06 --> 49:21 [SPEAKER_02]: been caught by the second shot from Silvermain and you're a really good moment with Frankie, the kids acting out as the decoy as the spider is sneaking into Silvermain's layer in the Hillcrest Hotel penthouse.
49:22 --> 49:26 [SPEAKER_02]: All of this to me is just really, it just flows nicely.
49:26 --> 49:44 [SPEAKER_02]: through the episode, whether it's the montage of Officer Batnik, from the benevolent association to Robbie going after trying to find Lonnie Lincoln again, we're getting embroiled with the camp clearance
49:47 --> 49:56 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, again, meeting the Furley on savory as is a of the bugle walters, and so yeah, absolutely defend this episode.
49:57 --> 50:00 [SPEAKER_02]: Give it five slew things spiders out of five.
50:00 --> 50:03 [SPEAKER_02]: Derek, do you defend this episode?
50:03 --> 50:06 [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of revealed my hand pretty early on in this episode.
50:06 --> 50:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Just how it plays out, I think it's my favorite episode so far this season.
50:10 --> 50:16 [SPEAKER_01]: The first couple of episodes have been about, can we do a noir movie in the Marvel world?
50:16 --> 50:28 [SPEAKER_01]: And now this is just telling us how good a detective or how good an investigator Ben Riley is in this world, where he'd be the spider at nice and Ben Riley during the day.
50:33 --> 50:36 [SPEAKER_01]: This is also great, but yeah, really enjoyed this episode.
50:36 --> 50:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Love Nicholas Cage throughout the show, but all the actors here have been fantastic.
50:41 --> 50:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I love the backdrop of what's happening around Depression era, New York is really cool as well.
50:46 --> 50:48 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's a lot of great stuff in this episode.
50:48 --> 50:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
50:49 --> 50:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
50:50 --> 50:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Definitely.
50:51 --> 50:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent stuff.
50:52 --> 50:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's hear from our wonderful fellow defenders.
50:55 --> 50:59 [SPEAKER_01]: First up, we got an email in from Coffee and Vodka, who says greetings fellow segregated defenders.
51:00 --> 51:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Racism, misogyny, institutionalized discrimination, violence against the disenfranchised, another point for accuracy to the era or current day commentary.
51:08 --> 51:14 [SPEAKER_01]: This title theme, Lonny Lincoln, tight story continued world building plot twists for veals and our last second cliffhanger,
51:15 --> 51:34 [SPEAKER_01]: From doubtful project to one of the best streaming features this year, completely immersive, the fight scene interchange between Ben and the kid, Flint and Kat's near reunion, it's hard to pick at a singular best scene or moment, but episode MVP has to be Richard Robesho's Howard Walters, editor-in-chief as the only villainous presence.
51:35 --> 51:37 [SPEAKER_01]: who completely raised my eye.
51:37 --> 51:39 [SPEAKER_01]: So far, so good.
51:39 --> 51:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Five ruckus, grimaces, laid up duckside cups, and shanty ten shake-dens at a five piece and take care, coffee and vodka.
51:47 --> 51:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Lovely stuff.
51:48 --> 51:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, coffee and vodka.
51:50 --> 51:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, the last second cliffhanger really good.
51:53 --> 51:56 [SPEAKER_02]: I think I could have a bombshell, which would be a reveal.
51:57 --> 51:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, cliffhanger.
51:58 --> 51:59 [SPEAKER_02]: That's what I meant.
52:00 --> 52:01 [SPEAKER_02]: It is really immersive.
52:01 --> 52:03 [SPEAKER_02]: I completely agree with you on that point.
52:03 --> 52:04 [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's
52:05 --> 52:12 [SPEAKER_02]: It's both really good entertainment, but it's also there is a great bit of commentary going on in here as well.
52:13 --> 52:22 [SPEAKER_02]: It looks superb and it in both colour and black and white and just really enjoying how this is ticking along.
52:22 --> 52:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely.
52:24 --> 52:33 [SPEAKER_01]: I took me a second to catch a coffee book as first five out of five rock gok grimaces because that would be the really cheap Swiss either.
52:33 --> 52:35 [SPEAKER_01]: So it was given by bear is rock goat, right?
52:36 --> 52:36 [SPEAKER_01]: So very good.
52:37 --> 52:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Like that coffee.
52:37 --> 52:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
52:38 --> 52:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm learning.
52:39 --> 52:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Lovely stuff.
52:39 --> 52:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks coffee vodka.
52:41 --> 52:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
52:41 --> 52:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's have an over two discord.
52:43 --> 52:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Jo Herbst says in episode two there was a lot of smoking and I've said three so much drinking.
52:49 --> 52:52 [SPEAKER_02]: And someone said there was a depression.
52:52 --> 52:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.
52:53 --> 52:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
52:54 --> 52:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Excellent stuff.
52:54 --> 52:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
52:55 --> 52:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Smoking and booze weren't taxed, really.
52:57 --> 52:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
52:58 --> 53:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Since it was prohibition here as well.
53:00 --> 53:06 [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, we've been getting really bad alcohol from and probably able to pay not in force.
53:06 --> 53:08 [SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I breathe smoke at the time.
53:10 --> 53:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
53:11 --> 53:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent stuff.
53:12 --> 53:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Also on Discord, Dr. Bob says so being around a spider or his alter ego is clearly bad for your health.
53:18 --> 53:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Encouragements for smoking in street kids and incitement to murder in forest parties, together with the consumption of far too much whiskey and insufficient fruits, not to mention the complete absence of sunscreen, make this hero one of the public health doctors will certainly be railing against.
53:37 --> 53:45 [SPEAKER_02]: The pacing is superb, the consistency of overacting, just spot on and the mimicry of the filming of the time.
53:45 --> 53:57 [SPEAKER_02]: If I've got it right, which fairly obvious, in studio projection of street scenes for the car journey, scenery forest and absolutely questionable magnifying glasses are a joy.
53:58 --> 54:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, I love that little touch stuffed above the magnifying glass on the eyeball, where it's projected,
54:07 --> 54:08 [SPEAKER_01]: really good fun.
54:09 --> 54:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Even on the balcony with the matte painting behind, I'm sure it's still CGI or something, but it looks all that era.
54:19 --> 54:22 [SPEAKER_01]: It's really, really well done.
54:22 --> 54:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, certainly lots of vices around in the old thirties.
54:27 --> 54:28 [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, thanks so much Dr. Bob.
54:28 --> 54:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, don't think many public health doctors will be fans of Ben or the spider.
54:33 --> 54:34 [SPEAKER_01]: No, that's all.
54:35 --> 54:41 [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, they were probably being sold as health, like things like smoking.
54:41 --> 54:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it keeps down the appetizers.
54:42 --> 54:46 [SPEAKER_02]: So, what's the one in the bar, the walnut plug?
54:46 --> 54:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
54:48 --> 54:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Which, yeah, I mean, that was chewed back a little now.
54:51 --> 54:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it also is like helps you breathe like because you're sucking it.
54:55 --> 54:59 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I suppose in the era of the depression Yeah, and all the works going on in New York.
54:59 --> 55:12 [SPEAKER_01]: It's probably safer for you to be smoke and then it was breathing the actual air It does do a revelatory the highly so see you can bush your engines Okay, now not that we're advocating for that.
55:12 --> 55:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely fine at the time.
55:13 --> 55:14 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a hundred years ago
55:15 --> 55:17 [SPEAKER_01]: So, thanks so much Dr. Vap.
55:17 --> 55:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, thanks Dr. Vap.
55:18 --> 55:22 [SPEAKER_01]: And finally, over on Facebook, Russell Hooper says, Hey, did spider get his powers?
55:22 --> 55:25 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm guessing there was a spider bite, but what made this spider special?
55:26 --> 55:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Sure, it wasn't radioactive.
55:27 --> 55:32 [SPEAKER_01]: And does he use mechanical web shooters or is it natural I tell be McGuire's Spider-Man?
55:32 --> 55:37 [SPEAKER_01]: If we have early sound man on human torch, does this make silver mainly early kingpin?
55:37 --> 55:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Interesting questions, Russell.
55:39 --> 55:50 [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of this is the purpose of the show, I guess, or the story that they're going to tell in the show, you know, the investigation that's going on in the background about the POWs and where these guys all got their powers had they all know each other.
55:50 --> 56:00 [SPEAKER_01]: And we have already heard so far in the show that Ben Raleigh was also over in Germany or in Europe during World War I as well.
56:00 --> 56:06 [SPEAKER_01]: So we haven't heard how he got his powers over there, but yeah, entirely possible that he got bitten by a spider.
56:08 --> 56:09 [SPEAKER_01]: while in Europe as well.
56:09 --> 56:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
56:10 --> 56:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Now they're all saying that they're Paris only came out of at six months ago, whereas we know Ben's Paris were at five years ago, right?
56:17 --> 56:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Because he gave, we hung up being the spider five years ago and had been that as even in Europe for a while.
56:23 --> 56:26 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, but it could have happened, while he was in Europe as well.
56:26 --> 56:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
56:26 --> 56:30 [SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, his web shooters look more natural than I say.
56:30 --> 56:31 [SPEAKER_02]: So I have a feeling
56:33 --> 56:37 [SPEAKER_02]: It could be coming from his body, but I don't know, I haven't really, we haven't really seen that yet.
56:37 --> 56:45 [SPEAKER_01]: It does seem like it though, because remember he didn't prepare the first time we saw him as the spider who didn't prepare by putting anything on when he was fighting against Flint Marco.
56:46 --> 56:50 [SPEAKER_01]: He falls off the building and then uses his web shooters to stick that.
56:50 --> 56:50 [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
56:50 --> 56:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, they're not web shooters.
56:51 --> 56:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me, he uses the webbing that seems to come out of his body to get himself out of the building.
56:57 --> 57:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, then that looks like it's natural to look at the top and top and top, of course.
57:00 --> 57:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Definitely.
57:01 --> 57:06 [SPEAKER_01]: So we have one of your questions answered, and I would say the rest of them will be answered on the rest of the season.
57:06 --> 57:15 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Silvermain is kind of like an early kingpin, but certainly there is the comic book thread here to Silvio Manfredi.
57:15 --> 57:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
57:15 --> 57:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Silvermain is an early Silvermain.
57:17 --> 57:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Silvermain.
57:18 --> 57:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
57:18 --> 57:22 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's just another character.
57:22 --> 57:26 [SPEAKER_01]: There were lots and lots of street-level criminals over the years and spied
57:28 --> 57:47 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, in terms of getting these powers, it will be interesting to see what makes the spider special or how that actually works, because certainly whilst, yes, there wasn't nuclear power plants or the atomic bomb at the time, there was a lot of work going on.
57:48 --> 57:56 [SPEAKER_02]: at that time, in physics, the electrical physics, and there was a knowledge of radio active materials as well.
57:56 --> 58:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and remember we had a mention of the multiverse in the opening of the season asking what at universe he comes from maybe the spider came in from another year.
58:07 --> 58:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe fell through.
58:08 --> 58:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it could be that interesting.
58:11 --> 58:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a nice one.
58:12 --> 58:25 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know whether that's the way it's going to be, but I do know we have got five more episodes to go in the series and that's definitely one of the stories we're going to tell, probably in flashback we're going to see how each of these guys get their parents and definitely how the spider was created.
58:25 --> 58:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, great questions there, Russell and really looking forward to seeing how they get answered by the show.
58:31 --> 58:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
58:31 --> 58:32 [SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
58:32 --> 58:33 [SPEAKER_01]: More than better than by us, I'd say.
58:34 --> 58:34 [SPEAKER_01]: Probably.
58:34 --> 58:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
58:35 --> 58:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
58:36 --> 58:37 [SPEAKER_01]: But thanks so much, Russell.
58:37 --> 58:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
58:38 --> 58:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and thank you to all our fellow defenders for your feedback for episode three of Spider-In-Wart, Double Cross.
58:48 --> 58:54 [SPEAKER_02]: And please remember to send in your feedback on all the other episodes.
58:54 --> 59:13 [SPEAKER_02]: to our email at feedbackactvpodcastindustries.com, over on our Facebook group, and by voicemail on our website as well, if you want to, and bus, we will be back next time with our chat about the spider-n-o-r episode for a mistake, I'll never make again.
59:14 --> 59:18 [SPEAKER_02]: And as I said, we would love to get your thoughts on that episode.
59:18 --> 59:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, yeah, looking forward to chatting about that later on the week.
59:21 --> 59:23 [SPEAKER_01]: And thank you so much, fellow defenders for joining us.
59:23 --> 59:24 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk to you next time.
59:24 --> 59:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, great stuff.
59:26 --> 59:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you fellow defenders until next time.
59:29 --> 59:32 [SPEAKER_02]: Keep watching, keep listening, and of course, keep defending.
59:33 --> 59:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Bye.
59:33 --> 59:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Bye.
