Losing their numbers, Thragg orders a direct strike on Talescria to kill Thaedus, helped by the mole in lowering the planet's security. As they besiege the capital, Thaddeus , Allen and Zoe lead the fight, but are losing, until the recovered Mark, Nolan and Oliver arrive to beat their forces back.
The Viltrumites are forced to retreat, but lose several of their own. After interrogating the mole, Thragg is revealed to be retreating to the home planet, so Thaedus plans to strike Thragg on planet Viltrum before all the scattered Viltrumites could return home to bolster the planet's defenses.

[DEREK]: You look horrible.
00:08.303 --> 00:11.106
[NOLAN]: Even Conquest deserves...
00:11.687 --> 00:12.528
[OLIVER]: He's a monster. He almost killed me.
00:12.609 --> 00:13.830
[OLIVER]: He almost killed Mark twice.
00:14.651 --> 00:16.394
[NOLAN]: His devotion to Viltrum.
00:16.414 --> 00:17.055
[OLIVER]: You weren't there.
00:18.076 --> 00:19.598
[OLIVER]: You didn't see what he did to Earth.
00:21.301 --> 00:24.385
[OLIVER]: People at home hate him almost as much as they hate you.
00:51.736 --> 00:58.724
[DEREK]: welcome back for the Guardians to the invincible podcast for the season 4 episode episode 6 you look horrible.
00:59.385 --> 01:00.366
[DEREK]: I'm one of your host Derek.
01:00.947 --> 01:03.470
[CHRIS]: Oh, that cost me right to the soul.
01:03.490 --> 01:06.073
[CHRIS]: The name of the episode is not you look horrible.
01:06.153 --> 01:07.395
[DEREK]: It's not aimed at you Chris.
01:07.475 --> 01:08.736
[DEREK]: I promise it's not aimed at you.
01:08.756 --> 01:14.503
[DEREK]: Oh, I was just going to introduce myself as one of those people at home that hates conquest almost as much as people hate melon.
01:14.922 --> 01:21.849
[CHRIS]: Yeah, it's probably a better way to be fair, but, uh, yes, no, uh, we have we have so much to discuss.
01:21.869 --> 01:22.029
[CHRIS]: We do.
01:22.049 --> 01:22.550
[CHRIS]: We absolutely do.
01:22.570 --> 01:22.670
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
01:22.690 --> 01:23.311
[CHRIS]: That's not, that's not spoiled.
01:23.331 --> 01:42.651
[DEREK]: ...
01:42.631 --> 01:44.814
[DEREK]: which we are covering all episodes of.
01:45.115 --> 01:49.522
[DEREK]: We've put out our first episode for the boys season five, which is the final season of the boys.
01:49.922 --> 01:51.545
[DEREK]: Our episode for Daredevil is already OUT.
01:51.745 --> 01:57.174
[DEREK]: Here we are with our invincible episode and we'll be back later on the week with the second episode of the boys as well.
01:57.774 --> 02:03.964
[DEREK]: And this week we also had the first two episodes of Maul shadow lord released on Disney Plus to great acclaim.
02:03.944 --> 02:05.066
[DEREK]: I knew that was going to happen.
02:05.187 --> 02:13.484
[DEREK]: We watched all the episodes that show, and it is excellent, and it seems like Star Wars fans, and lots of animation fans are absolutely loving it as much as we did.
02:13.564 --> 02:17.693
[DEREK]: So we aren't covering on the podcast, but highly recommend going to check that out.
02:17.914 --> 02:20.940
[CHRIS]: And am I right in saying that it got a confirmed for a season two?
02:21.106 --> 02:22.588
[DEREK]: It has been confirmed for a second season.
02:22.609 --> 02:24.652
[DEREK]: Yes, yeah, there you go.
02:24.772 --> 02:44.886
[DEREK]: Not often you get that in the Disney world Like within the first week of the show absolutely I think the team that's behind it were behind Clone Wars and bad bats both of which were multi-season animation shows for for Star Wars It was kind of expected that they'd get a confirmation pretty quickly if if they
02:44.866 --> 03:03.345
[DEREK]: We're going to be making a second season and they have a lot of story there to tell with this character that lots of people Really really like especially the clone wars iteration of the character There's been massive amounts of story at Ford for a mall since he was in Phantom Manus and I keep calling him Darth Maul, which isn't anymore.
03:04.106 --> 03:06.468
[CHRIS]: So very very quick And this is a complete assignment.
03:06.528 --> 03:13.135
[CHRIS]: It is someone about this today What are the confirmed Star Wars projects right now you have
03:14.397 --> 03:15.859
[CHRIS]: Mandalorian and Grogu, the film.
03:15.979 --> 03:17.581
[CHRIS]: Yeah, next month, in May.
03:17.601 --> 03:18.643
[DEREK]: Yeah, about six weeks time up.
03:18.763 --> 03:23.650
[CHRIS]: Yeah, like, then the so-called season two question mark.
03:24.411 --> 03:25.172
[DEREK]: Okay, that confirmed.
03:25.212 --> 03:26.414
[DEREK]: No, that's okay.
03:26.434 --> 03:28.657
[CHRIS]: No, when, when we don't know yet.
03:28.677 --> 03:34.024
[DEREK]: They haven't provided an actual release date, but it's expected to be the final quarter of 2026.
03:34.044 --> 03:35.706
[DEREK]: So this is, okay, that's cool.
03:35.826 --> 03:36.207
[DEREK]: Yeah.
03:36.227 --> 03:40.573
[CHRIS]: And then we have Starfighter, Ryan Gosling, one next here.
03:41.347 --> 03:43.491
[DEREK]: Again, not confirmed on dates.
03:43.511 --> 03:52.891
[CHRIS]: They haven't put any really states out there for any future project from Star Wars Okay, but that is that Filmed or filming or finished.
03:52.911 --> 03:57.280
[CHRIS]: Yeah, and then there's the Faloni film question mark
03:57.952 --> 04:03.657
[DEREK]: Again, the everything went quite silent on that, I think we talked about that on our rap-up podcast at the beginning of the year.
04:04.037 --> 04:05.578
[DEREK]: No further confirmation on that.
04:05.618 --> 04:13.465
[DEREK]: As they start doing the press stuff for mind-blowing groguer, expect there's going to be lots more things confirmed, lots more information out there in the world at the moment.
04:13.485 --> 04:27.537
[DEREK]: They're definitely focused on the Marvel side of Disney, which lots of, lots of confirmation of shows, lots of really interesting information out there in the Marvel side, but the Star Wars side of the business is holding ice, I think, for the press
04:27.517 --> 04:33.605
[CHRIS]: Okay, because I was just like that's actually when because when I was just saw how great mall was and got seen too.
04:33.665 --> 04:38.390
[CHRIS]: I was like, wait, is that one of the only things we are 100% confirming for the next few years?
04:38.410 --> 04:39.812
[CHRIS]: I was like, oh, the probably is.
04:40.253 --> 04:47.662
[DEREK]: Yeah, this little stuff they've talked about and we do have celebration each year usually which makes an announcements of upcoming projects as well.
04:48.743 --> 04:51.887
[DEREK]: But yeah, I think I think if you've watched
04:51.867 --> 04:53.529
[DEREK]: more the show.
04:53.990 --> 05:02.540
[DEREK]: Those are what's the first couple of episodes that are written in Disney Plus, but if you've seen when you see the full season you'll see why it was very quickly given a renewal for second season.
05:02.580 --> 05:06.545
[DEREK]: It's a really exciting and really interesting show and a little corner of the universe that we don't get to see.
05:06.585 --> 05:08.808
[DEREK]: So I think that's probably what's excited.
05:09.569 --> 05:12.272
[DEREK]: The people that make those decisions.
05:12.252 --> 05:12.753
[CHRIS]: Nice.
05:13.214 --> 05:13.375
[DEREK]: Nice.
05:13.876 --> 05:15.360
[CHRIS]: But we're not here to talk about mall.
05:15.460 --> 05:16.923
[CHRIS]: We are not another anime this show.
05:16.984 --> 05:17.685
[CHRIS]: We're weird here.
05:17.705 --> 05:18.668
[CHRIS]: And another anime this show.
05:18.688 --> 05:20.332
[CHRIS]: That does have another season coming.
05:20.492 --> 05:23.359
[CHRIS]: But it's this episode two more episodes.
05:24.081 --> 05:26.407
[CHRIS]: And then another year break.
05:26.427 --> 05:27.991
[DEREK]: But at least it's a year with events.
05:28.071 --> 05:29.434
[DEREK]: Exactly.
05:29.414 --> 05:38.809
[DEREK]: And, you know, to the animation as we talked about is getting better and better every single year that doesn't such a great job this season making everything look incredible, especially for a show that comes back each year.
05:39.750 --> 05:52.991
[DEREK]: So, yeah, I think we're pretty much set to this going to be early next year again as well because this show was confirmed for Season 5 around the same time, a season season season 4 got confirmed so they've been working on it the whole time.
05:53.091 --> 05:53.852
[DEREK]: So,
05:53.832 --> 05:56.376
[DEREK]: Amazing that they're able to do the turnaround and this are wonderful.
05:56.396 --> 06:12.178
[DEREK]: Let's say that they're able to do the turn around on the show that they're able to do For invincible and but if you haven't subscribed to the podcast and you want to hear I thought some all of the other shows that were covering as well as invincible at pop on our tour website TV podcast industry's calm you can subscribe there through any Invincible or vulnerable podcast players

[DEREK]: I'm sure you'll find it over there as well.
06:32.695 --> 06:42.747
[CHRIS]: Yes, you will, but Dirk, it's dive into eight and our discussions, but first, do you want to tell us who gave us what we're wearing and how, with the episode details?
06:43.088 --> 06:48.154
[DEREK]: Absolutely, the show is based on the comic series written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Cory Walker and Ryan Othley.
06:48.214 --> 06:55.463
[DEREK]: The show is developed by Robert Kirkman and the lead producers on the show are Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Sam Recyapa.
06:55.443 --> 06:57.706
[DEREK]: Katherine Winder and Margaret M. Dean.
06:58.347 --> 07:00.531
[DEREK]: This episode was directed by Jason Zurich.
07:00.551 --> 07:10.065
[DEREK]: He's directed two episodes of Invincible Season 3 and also directed the first episode of the boys animated spin-off diabolical, which we've been talking about a lot recently, because of the final season of the boys.
07:11.727 --> 07:13.550
[DEREK]: The episode was written by Amber Degree.
07:13.870 --> 07:23.745
[DEREK]: There's a first episode of Invincible, but she was a staff writer on Loki Season 2 as well, which we covered on our main podcast
07:24.248 --> 07:26.113
[CHRIS]: Yes, yes, she covered that.
07:26.253 --> 07:26.915
[CHRIS]: We enjoyed her.
07:27.296 --> 07:28.639
[CHRIS]: And again, we've talked about this before.
07:28.659 --> 07:41.532
[CHRIS]: Once you're in the marvel or once you're kind of in that nerd writer space, we do see a lot of crossover between the shows that we would cover and the writers and the writers.
07:41.512 --> 07:43.053
[DEREK]: Still always cool to see isn't it?
07:43.074 --> 07:51.241
[DEREK]: Yeah, I guess just like our city that the jobs once you've had experience in a good area And you can prove it then you may get another job in something similar, right?
07:51.402 --> 07:52.423
[DEREK]: That's the flamm.
07:53.423 --> 07:53.804
[DEREK]: Exactly.
07:54.705 --> 07:58.508
[DEREK]: But Chris, do you want to tell us what they gave us in invincible season four episode six?
07:58.849 --> 07:59.650
[DEREK]: You look horrible.
08:00.590 --> 08:00.811
[CHRIS]: Sure.
08:02.192 --> 08:10.540
[CHRIS]: Open war between the coalition and the virtual empire begins with battle beasts and previously enslaved planet joining the coalition.
08:12.781 --> 08:19.114
[CHRIS]: After bearing conquest, Nolan bonds with Oliver and trains him as they nurse Mark back to health for two months.
08:19.956 --> 08:32.361
[CHRIS]: Allen and Zoe are rescued by Space Racer, kills Krat, losing their numbers and helped by the mole by lowering the plan security, Thrike, or just a direct strike on Talasquia to kill Fades.
08:33.283 --> 08:34.806
[CHRIS]: As they proceed to capital,
08:35.528 --> 08:44.642
[CHRIS]: Data's Alan and Zoe lead the fight, but are losing until they recovered Mark Nolan and Oliver arrive to beat their forces back.
08:46.005 --> 08:49.530
[CHRIS]: The Vultimites are forced to retreat, but lose seven of their own.
08:50.171 --> 08:55.299
[CHRIS]: After interrogating the mole, Thrike is revealed to be retreating to their Vultimite home planers.
08:55.940 --> 09:03.392
[CHRIS]: So, Data's plans to strike Thrike on plan of villager, before all the scattered Vultimites could return home to bolster the plans to fences.
09:05.718 --> 09:09.924
[CHRIS]: pretty quick direct episode.
09:10.404 --> 09:14.991
[CHRIS]: Yeah, in terms of kind of pieces to go through and points to talk about.
09:15.011 --> 09:26.747
[CHRIS]: Yeah, but it does actually move everything quite a bit forward in terms of some things we learn and know about and kind of burying some of the hatchet if you will.
09:26.727 --> 09:36.019
[DEREK]: Yeah, absolutely, and I'm shocked that one of my theories was slightly right last time, so they were definitely going to be gone more than two weeks, a travel time.
09:36.540 --> 09:43.970
[DEREK]: And so at least two months of recovery for Mark and they're still going on for another further trip at the end of the episode.
09:43.990 --> 09:49.577
[DEREK]: But yes, battling and recovery is basically the entirety of what happens in this episode.
09:49.837 --> 09:54.203
[DEREK]: So let's kick off with our point number one, Mark's recovery.
09:54.183 --> 10:08.929
[DEREK]: Mark, after killing Conquest, is left to recover and effectively, they're saying the only thing they can do because they're so far into Viltramite space, and they can't leave the planet, all they can do is leave him here to recover from his wounds.
10:09.310 --> 10:11.935
[DEREK]: Oh, they can recover from Allah, can't they?
10:12.496 --> 10:16.262
[CHRIS]: Yeah, yeah, Laci, his goods were falling out of him.
10:16.402 --> 10:17.845
[DEREK]: Yeah, ripped out, yeah.
10:18.112 --> 10:39.314
[CHRIS]: So I do like this that you kind of, you do see that like how you can start to understand how conquest came back, for example, in the previous season, or the beginning of the season, I should say, and from his ending in the previous season.
10:40.295 --> 10:41.917
[CHRIS]: But it just takes time.
10:41.977 --> 10:44.119
[CHRIS]: There is one point
10:44.318 --> 10:57.216
[CHRIS]: where we do kind of start to see that like actually they need protein as they recover the like he's in the like almost like a self-induced coma by his body kind of repair himself.
10:58.838 --> 11:11.575
[CHRIS]: So seeing that it does take two plus months for them to fully go back from
11:11.858 --> 11:31.444
[DEREK]: Yeah, yeah, no, I'm very glad they had a little bit of input into the recovery of markets and I'll just get them some liquid pour it down, throw it out in two months time, he'll be grand, you know, they think they do have a point where they go, well, you know, he is in recovery, he is all of his intestines are missing back together and all of his inner organs are all missing back together.
11:31.464 --> 11:33.687
[DEREK]: So he probably needs a little bit more than just liquid.
11:33.707 --> 11:35.409
[DEREK]: So we probably just get them some kind of protein.
11:35.449 --> 11:36.991
[DEREK]: So yeah, really like that.
11:37.832 --> 11:40.836
[DEREK]: But I suppose the bigger arc that's happening on here is,
11:40.816 --> 11:54.475
[DEREK]: the confrontation or the fixing of a relationship between Oliver and Nolan, you know, while max out of the picture, Oliver is trying to maintain that posture of hating Nolan for everything he's done.
11:55.456 --> 12:06.351
[DEREK]: Christopher Connery just such a great performance here with Oliver when he tells
12:06.331 --> 12:15.729
[DEREK]: Nolan wasn't in love with Oliver's mother that he was only in love with Debbie and that Oliver took this to mean that Mark was the only important one in Nolan's life.
12:17.232 --> 12:21.941
[DEREK]: Once again, not letting Nolan off with everything he says, right?
12:21.981 --> 12:25.388
[DEREK]: He just was using words to try to get back into Debbie's good books.
12:25.809 --> 12:28.474
[DEREK]: Oliver heard the words and it pissed him off even more.
12:28.707 --> 12:47.870
[CHRIS]: We talked about this last episode, so they do have to fast track some of the conversations and the dialogues and things like that that would, you'd have more time in the comic books to kind of see now, but it's a hard one.
12:48.391 --> 12:58.343
[CHRIS]: I don't, and I haven't fully formed an opinion yet on this, it's a tough balance to kind
12:58.981 --> 13:18.812
[CHRIS]: what is known, only mind, you're basically one of your biggest villains of this show back to a point in it where he is the where the audience has empathy for him.
13:19.568 --> 13:28.682
[CHRIS]: And I feel he does have a redemptive arc and a redemption arc in the comic books and they're trying to do this here too.
13:30.164 --> 13:41.442
[CHRIS]: I think I'm leaning towards it and I don't want to put words in your mouth, but I think I'm leaning towards you, which towards your view point, which is it's just not working to a degree.
13:41.540 --> 13:46.845
[DEREK]: Yeah, I would say, you know, it was similar to my general opinion in real life.
13:47.366 --> 13:53.652
[DEREK]: Everybody can rehabilitate, but they can't just say, I've been rehabilitators, which is what Nolan tries.
13:53.952 --> 13:54.133
[DEREK]: Yeah.
13:55.094 --> 13:58.857
[DEREK]: Nolan tried to arrive back in a planet after murdering lots of people at Weds.
13:59.258 --> 14:00.279
[DEREK]: Hey, love, I'm sorry.
14:00.619 --> 14:01.160
[DEREK]: Take me back.
14:01.360 --> 14:01.960
[DEREK]: I'll be better.
14:01.980 --> 14:03.322
[DEREK]: I've been thinking I'm better.
14:03.562 --> 14:04.363
[DEREK]: I'm probably better.
14:04.403 --> 14:05.684
[DEREK]: No, keep the work.
14:05.764 --> 14:08.627
[DEREK]: And I think what's really good in this episode.
14:08.607 --> 14:10.749
[DEREK]: He tells Oliver that at the outset.
14:11.750 --> 14:13.733
[DEREK]: Oliver says to him, you know, I heard what you said.
14:13.753 --> 14:17.597
[DEREK]: I wanted nothing more than to be you.
14:17.637 --> 14:23.143
[DEREK]: I even put your symbol on my suit to be kid on the man because I love you and respected you so much.
14:23.824 --> 14:25.966
[DEREK]: And then to hear that, you broke me effectively.
14:26.507 --> 14:29.430
[DEREK]: And no one tells him, well, I want to be better.
14:29.490 --> 14:30.251
[DEREK]: I try to be better.
14:30.351 --> 14:32.674
[DEREK]: And then does the work over the two months that they're there.
14:32.734 --> 14:34.516
[DEREK]: He trains Oliver.
14:34.616 --> 14:36.538
[DEREK]: He treats Oliver.
14:36.518 --> 14:38.600
[DEREK]: the way Oliver's wanted to be treated by everybody.
14:39.261 --> 14:51.176
[DEREK]: Since the beginning and his arrival on earth, Oliver is different from everybody else there and they're trying to treat him, trying to turn him into a human, but Oliver has much more in common with Nolan than he did, but anybody else in earth, right?
14:51.656 --> 14:52.717
[DEREK]: He's from a different planet.
14:53.018 --> 15:05.833
[DEREK]: He doesn't have any of his species around at all, but at least, Nolan is his father and has direct connection with Oliver and he's treating him in a different way
15:05.813 --> 15:17.714
[DEREK]: Well, actually, maybe I would be better right here in the galaxy than going home to Earth because the only person that's there that I do love is Mark and I'm a mom Debbie, but everybody else I'm growing out of, you know?
15:18.195 --> 15:18.315
[DEREK]: Yeah.
15:18.515 --> 15:20.960
[DEREK]: So I think that's quite interesting, but that they do have the arc.
15:20.980 --> 15:25.628
[DEREK]: Yeah, there is a bit of a bit of time jumping, but I think you get the sense of what?
15:25.608 --> 15:27.350
[DEREK]: Nolan has been doing with Oliver here.
15:27.550 --> 15:28.932
[DEREK]: So yes, absolutely.
15:29.032 --> 15:31.955
[DEREK]: After last week's episode, I think everybody was treating Nolan the right way.
15:32.015 --> 15:37.161
[DEREK]: That he's not making up for his past mistakes.
15:37.181 --> 15:39.203
[DEREK]: He's just saying he is at least in this episode.
15:39.223 --> 15:43.948
[DEREK]: We see Nolan trying to work at a relationship with Oliver on their own terms.
15:44.008 --> 15:52.257
[DEREK]: So while he may not be redeemed in the eyes of everybody else, or me, at least he's doing something with Oliver to rehabilitate himself.
15:52.743 --> 15:53.584
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
15:53.604 --> 15:54.545
[CHRIS]: And look, you're right.
15:54.745 --> 15:55.867
[CHRIS]: Oliver is different.
15:56.247 --> 15:59.251
[CHRIS]: Like, he found a lobster sexy.
16:00.773 --> 16:01.694
[CHRIS]: Which I don't know.
16:01.894 --> 16:03.136
[DEREK]: That is brilliant.
16:03.216 --> 16:07.481
[DEREK]: It is the best moment when he talks about him getting a tingle feeling when he's all lobster.
16:07.682 --> 16:09.544
[DEREK]: But he's still at his.
16:09.964 --> 16:13.649
[DEREK]: It's like a very young deep from the boys, you know.
16:13.669 --> 16:14.330
[DEREK]: He's started a game.
16:14.390 --> 16:15.131
[DEREK]: His life.
16:15.171 --> 16:20.978
[DEREK]: So as I think the official, I can't say that I don't think they'll almost expect him to tell the birds and the lobsters.
16:20.958 --> 16:22.701
[DEREK]: tell this quickly, it's just some.
16:24.904 --> 16:29.551
[CHRIS]: Yes, that angel bird and lobster story.
16:30.872 --> 16:49.800
[CHRIS]: I do like how this ends, which is like you said, like Oliver is for starting to forgive, and the relationship is there, and eventually
16:51.198 --> 16:53.682
[CHRIS]: and they prep to go into battle.
16:54.464 --> 16:54.564
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
16:55.265 --> 17:06.664
[CHRIS]: Oliver is right, probably, to stay on the coalitions kind of planished out there and work with the coalitions because you're right, he he doesn't have that connection.
17:07.045 --> 17:12.835
[DEREK]: Yeah, he just makes a choice, but and again, you know, the other thing that happens of course, right this, it's not just Nolan.
17:12.815 --> 17:14.397
[DEREK]: teaching things to Oliver.
17:15.178 --> 17:20.345
[DEREK]: Oliver gets through to Nolan about not killing things that it really is way just to get what he wants.
17:20.405 --> 17:24.751
[DEREK]: He needs, as he said, protein to help help to remark.
17:24.991 --> 17:29.397
[DEREK]: He started out by just killing the mother or wanted to kill the mother to take the eggs.
17:30.138 --> 17:34.965
[DEREK]: Oliver can I go, but if he kill her, then she can't take care of the rest of the eggs, and she can't lay any more eggs.
17:35.145 --> 17:38.670
[DEREK]: So how that we make a deal and we take one and we
17:39.258 --> 17:57.242
[DEREK]: work together to not kill her and get that benefit and it works with no them, you know, which does show signs that he is changing because in the past that would matter to him and he would try and shut anybody down as being weak if they tell them you don't you don't kill everything in your path, right?
17:57.322 --> 18:05.113
[DEREK]: So, so yeah, so not only is no them training all of our Oliver's also teaching stuff to no them as well, which is really cool.
18:08.080 --> 18:13.466
[CHRIS]: Yeah, I just, I, the, the more, this is complete aside.
18:13.908 --> 18:14.631
[CHRIS]: I,
18:15.320 --> 18:24.153
[CHRIS]: never in my wildest dreams thought we'd get this far into the comic book series and an animated format.
18:24.173 --> 18:26.316
[CHRIS]: Like honestly didn't think we'd get that far.
18:26.537 --> 18:30.583
[DEREK]: I bet you never thought they were going to be able to animate Mark's lovely beard.
18:30.883 --> 18:31.524
[CHRIS]: Well, they did.
18:31.965 --> 18:32.786
[CHRIS]: They really did.
18:32.806 --> 18:36.071
[CHRIS]: They like at least it looked better in the comic book and we were going to say that.
18:36.211 --> 18:39.195
[CHRIS]: Hey, like yeah.
18:39.215 --> 18:42.981
[CHRIS]: But overall I just like I mean
18:43.197 --> 18:50.911
[CHRIS]: I'm happily surprised and shocked that we are now discussing the future more in an animated show.
18:50.931 --> 18:58.185
[CHRIS]: So let's continue that and move into the second point of our episode, which is Walt.
18:58.975 --> 19:00.237
[CHRIS]: war was declared.
19:00.918 --> 19:09.592
[CHRIS]: We have the coalition and the vultimate empire across the galaxy fighting on many fronts.
19:10.954 --> 19:13.618
[CHRIS]: And you got a very star we're seeing.
19:14.299 --> 19:26.198
[CHRIS]: It's like the like when it was like like lay and the rest of them at the death star when they're planning that bottle with that kind of big map in the center.
19:26.178 --> 19:40.373
[CHRIS]: Um, we can't one of those where you start to see the red and the blue for the the the empire and the coalition Yeah, where they're winning where they're losing and I thought it was really cool You don't didn't need to kind of show that level of detail, but it works
19:40.488 --> 19:47.257
[DEREK]: I think it's absolutely fantastic and a great representation of the fact that the coalition are really winning this war.
19:47.718 --> 19:56.330
[DEREK]: Um, you know, over millennia, we have the Viltram Empire have taken huge swites of the galaxy.
19:56.350 --> 20:02.378
[DEREK]: The coalition planets are very small at the beginning of the war, but as we get on through the episode,
20:02.543 --> 20:11.433
[DEREK]: There's a very small amount of territories left to the Wilchmites by the midway point of the of the of the of the war as this whole of the months go past.
20:12.454 --> 20:19.541
[DEREK]: Which I think is really interesting, you know, they're starting to liberate planets and those planets are taking alarms against against the Wilchmites.
20:19.561 --> 20:20.542
[DEREK]: They're deploying the.
20:22.124 --> 20:25.868
[DEREK]: Well, I guess weapons that we're discovered by Nolan.
20:27.451 --> 20:35.180
[DEREK]: in the right way, they're picking out individual Viltramites and taking them out, at least that's what we're hearing through their reports.
20:36.742 --> 20:53.562
[DEREK]: It's interesting, because we have a lot of named Viltramites that we've seen throughout the three seasons so far, and pretty much all of them survive by the end of the episode, but we do hear in the background that a lot of the other Viltramites are being taken out individually.
20:53.582 --> 20:56.445
[DEREK]: It would have been nice if maybe one or two of the ones
20:56.425 --> 20:59.693
[DEREK]: got taken action on screen.
21:00.575 --> 21:07.632
[DEREK]: But I guess the reason why they're named is because they have a much bigger part to play later on down the road as the rest of the story is told.
21:07.913 --> 21:11.682
[DEREK]: That's why they're that what's why they have a part and why they've appeared in the past.
21:11.762 --> 21:13.506
[DEREK]: I think that's kind of what's happened.
21:14.245 --> 21:16.929
[CHRIS]: I can neither confirm or deny your theory.
21:17.029 --> 21:17.670
[DEREK]: No, I don't.
21:17.750 --> 21:18.651
[DEREK]: I don't.
21:18.671 --> 21:33.270
[DEREK]: But I believe there are other stories to come in the show that the leaves, even in the final battle or in the next battle, they will have roles to play, but it would just would have been nice to have maybe one character that we'd seen on the previous episode.
21:33.531 --> 21:35.333
[DEREK]: It would take an extra on-scope.
21:35.353 --> 21:35.954
[CHRIS]: Well, we do.
21:36.635 --> 21:37.656
[DEREK]: Yes, we get crad.
21:38.577 --> 21:39.038
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
21:39.811 --> 21:57.263
[CHRIS]: Because space rates are seriously gets his unstoppable laser shot off because we have tech jacket flying to the planet, not making it, Alan helps her out.
21:57.243 --> 22:04.614
[CHRIS]: and then she comes back and you're like, no, and then you do get that fun shift bump out of the way and then you have spaces.
22:05.776 --> 22:07.759
[CHRIS]: And you get the, hope you didn't lose your head.
22:07.799 --> 22:14.288
[CHRIS]: They're very sacked rogue and kind of style stone of jokes and I'm here for it.
22:16.011 --> 22:26.406
[CHRIS]: But again, this is the, I do enjoy these kind of pieces because it has been them setting up a lot of
22:28.225 --> 22:30.748
[CHRIS]: characters over the years.
22:31.990 --> 22:35.053
[CHRIS]: And we get to see the model come through like bottle beasts this back.
22:35.754 --> 22:36.095
[CHRIS]: Yeah, absolutely.
22:36.115 --> 22:36.455
[CHRIS]: Again.
22:37.196 --> 22:37.296
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
22:37.316 --> 22:39.719
[CHRIS]: For his one of his fun battles.
22:40.460 --> 22:44.625
[CHRIS]: And you just see as this continues as this grows.
22:45.226 --> 22:46.707
[CHRIS]: Someone someone said this somewhere.
22:46.768 --> 22:47.308
[CHRIS]: I can't remember.
22:47.348 --> 22:53.536
[CHRIS]: I think it was one of our fellow guardians on one of our channels that they loved that they bring in.
22:53.576 --> 22:57.000
[CHRIS]: They brought
22:56.980 --> 23:13.892
[CHRIS]: all the way through mine or characters and it's like when you could just kind of call it beast battle a and beast battle b no no it's the same character and they brought them through and what you think was a potential one off yeah back in season one on
23:13.940 --> 23:15.723
[CHRIS]: no they're they're going all the way through.
23:16.804 --> 23:21.251
[CHRIS]: I enjoy that and I'm happy to see other people are finding much fun as well.
23:21.271 --> 23:34.210
[DEREK]: Yeah it's great and I thought that's one of the things I've always looked abashed invincible and it seems to be the same even tonight we talked about it earlier around the season the character appearing for for 10 minutes of an episode.
23:34.190 --> 23:38.896
[DEREK]: you expect that character is going to come back and make a major impact down the line of the not dead, right?
23:38.916 --> 23:40.318
[DEREK]: So that's the way it works.
23:40.898 --> 23:42.520
[DEREK]: I love Battle Beast in this episode.
23:43.321 --> 23:45.945
[DEREK]: Voice by Michael Doran played Warfin and Star Trek.
23:45.965 --> 23:58.240
[DEREK]: I'm going to talk about that when he was on the show originally, but I love that his conversation with Alan is, you promised me
23:58.220 --> 24:00.022
[DEREK]: Well, how would you fancy war?
24:00.844 --> 24:05.470
[DEREK]: So, that will be just now unleashed on all the Viltramites.
24:05.490 --> 24:06.051
[DEREK]: It's very cool.
24:06.471 --> 24:12.980
[DEREK]: And the Infinity Ray of Space Racer is ridiculously powerful though.
24:13.581 --> 24:24.295
[DEREK]: I know they took a crab and I just mentioned that I would like to have seen more the Viltramites get taken down, that's how you get the indication that they're starting to lose the war.
24:24.275 --> 24:27.682
[DEREK]: But he fires it once and blows out the side of Crad and Crad's dead.
24:27.902 --> 24:29.465
[DEREK]: Crad's not going back.
24:30.627 --> 24:34.374
[DEREK]: You would expect to just turn around and go and Luke it and then shoot him in the head and take him away.
24:34.395 --> 24:37.180
[DEREK]: So then maybe another one of the votes from it's another location.
24:37.220 --> 24:38.222
[DEREK]: But Luke gets away.
24:38.282 --> 24:44.494
[DEREK]: But you would deploy space racer as often as you possibly could unless it's just a one shot.
24:44.474 --> 24:48.459
[DEREK]: I'm a lanym that he is able to use with this infinity ray.
24:48.799 --> 24:52.904
[DEREK]: Maybe it's called infinity because you can only use it once and never again for all of infinity.
24:52.925 --> 24:53.846
[DEREK]: Can you use that gun?
24:53.866 --> 24:55.428
[DEREK]: Because it's way too powerful.
24:56.929 --> 25:03.578
[CHRIS]: And I have something in my head, but I can't for the life me remembers the 100% correctional.
25:03.598 --> 25:07.022
[CHRIS]: But it's something like once it's fired, it keeps going.
25:07.002 --> 25:08.545
[DEREK]: Right, and goes on forever.
25:08.846 --> 25:09.066
[CHRIS]: Right.
25:09.206 --> 25:09.787
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
25:09.808 --> 25:12.713
[DEREK]: So I think you'd line up all your opponents in one row.
25:13.154 --> 25:14.537
[DEREK]: You can kill them all in one shot.
25:15.038 --> 25:15.138
[CHRIS]: Okay.
25:15.158 --> 25:17.903
[CHRIS]: So yeah, but also like it's just you fire-ish.
25:18.024 --> 25:18.825
[CHRIS]: I need to keep going.
25:18.845 --> 25:27.863
[CHRIS]: So if there's a planet in 100 million years in the line of where they fired and cried, killed, cried, said,
25:27.843 --> 25:30.245
[CHRIS]: that planet is suddenly getting a hold of it.
25:30.886 --> 25:30.986
[CHRIS]: Okay.
25:31.006 --> 25:32.888
[CHRIS]: Um, I think it was something like that.
25:33.348 --> 25:38.133
[CHRIS]: Because we see it goes forward and cuts through, um, the ship, for example.
25:38.213 --> 25:39.074
[DEREK]: Yeah.
25:39.094 --> 25:44.939
[CHRIS]: So, I do, I have that in my head, but like, I back there, no one fact checked me on that.
25:44.999 --> 25:45.980
[CHRIS]: That could be my own.
25:46.281 --> 25:47.182
[CHRIS]: Please, headstand.
25:47.202 --> 25:50.985
[DEREK]: We'd love to hear your thoughts, and we'd love to hear your thoughts, just don't tell me it'll grow.
25:51.065 --> 25:53.808
[CHRIS]: At some point, maybe.
25:53.908 --> 25:53.968
[DEREK]: Um,
25:53.948 --> 25:55.911
[DEREK]: I can't look it up because I don't want spoilers from the comic.
25:55.951 --> 26:02.502
[DEREK]: So if you've read the comic and you know or Chris, if you just remember or if you want to search it up afterwards, you can tell us next time.
26:02.522 --> 26:03.143
[DEREK]: Yes, exactly.
26:03.664 --> 26:04.345
[DEREK]: But it's a great battle.
26:04.366 --> 26:05.187
[DEREK]: I love the idea.
26:05.868 --> 26:07.070
[DEREK]: I love the kind of back and forth.
26:07.791 --> 26:14.202
[DEREK]: The idea that they go, well, maybe we don't want to fight battles on territories or there's only one at one.
26:14.182 --> 26:29.220
[DEREK]: the villager mice officer there, I guess, which is what you'd probably call the person that's responsible for the area, maybe we're going to take the fight to where Thay this is and they're going to go to the capital and have the battle there on where the coalition are effectively.
26:29.280 --> 26:35.768
[DEREK]: So yeah, so they take the fight to there and as many villager mice they possibly can to arrive down there.
26:36.406 --> 26:39.455
[CHRIS]: Yeah, and we do see, I think there's like the guts of what?
26:40.076 --> 26:45.171
[CHRIS]: 10, filter my, including, uh, Thrag, um, and General Creek.
26:45.392 --> 26:46.475
[CHRIS]: So, like, use my 10.
26:47.237 --> 26:49.884
[DEREK]: Can you, can't the skull of Argil as partial?
26:49.905 --> 26:51.850
[DEREK]: Yeah, that's for my, it's.
26:51.830 --> 26:53.874
[DEREK]: What a weird moment that one was.
26:54.335 --> 27:08.101
[DEREK]: Yeah, so I guess some of the Viltramites are a bit off-kilter as we've seen so far the season, but yeah, Thrag talking to the broken head of the former leader of the Viltramites.
27:08.161 --> 27:12.910
[DEREK]: Okay, people do talk like that to former dead leaders don't they?
27:12.890 --> 27:16.116
[CHRIS]: Yeah, so yeah, we talked about it earlier.
27:16.336 --> 27:30.162
[CHRIS]: Star Wars, let's just literally call back to the the the the the sequels where we have Kyle Rand talking to his dead grandfather Mm-hmm, the methods enough to how much of the passion grandfather.
27:30.182 --> 27:30.382
[DEREK]: Yeah.
27:30.402 --> 27:30.602
[DEREK]: Yeah.
27:30.622 --> 27:34.750
[CHRIS]: Yeah, well, we don't know maybe maybe there was a skull in there too They're my life.
27:34.770 --> 27:35.071
[CHRIS]: What is it?
27:35.091 --> 27:36.433
[CHRIS]: Part of school
27:37.004 --> 27:47.264
[DEREK]: But we know that Masker has removed anyway, that's a Star Wars thing, but it's also the fact that Thrag takes that skull of Argal with them, that's the only thing he takes from the exploding ship when he's leaving as well.
27:47.384 --> 27:54.237
[DEREK]: And as they're leaving the planet, you see it in his hands, and that cool shot of all the votes for my Twitter and home, very cool.
27:54.335 --> 27:59.665
[CHRIS]: So can we get into that, the attack on the punch?
27:59.685 --> 28:02.049
[CHRIS]: On the left, yeah, on the other hand.
28:02.069 --> 28:13.390
[CHRIS]: Like that shot of Mark and Oliver, and it's almost like a spitsack and freeze frame where they cut through the ship.
28:13.370 --> 28:16.655
[CHRIS]: and the ship starts to explode at the top and break.
28:18.337 --> 28:18.417
[CHRIS]: Hmm.
28:18.437 --> 28:20.019
[CHRIS]: Oh, wow.
28:20.039 --> 28:29.372
[CHRIS]: It was just, just, like, that's one of, like, we talk about, like, in films you talk about money shots, things like that, and, well, awesome point.
28:30.514 --> 28:32.437
[CHRIS]: But, yeah.
28:32.457 --> 28:41.149
[CHRIS]: But, this is your, that's a, take a still blow it up, put it on the wall, in a nice frame, that's a beautiful looking.
28:41.129 --> 28:47.095
[CHRIS]: kind of an amazing sell, just, and we got a couple of those.
28:48.176 --> 29:08.976
[CHRIS]: Like you get that shot, you get it, where they are running away, and then you also get the shot with Oliver and Mark in space after they pushed the descending ship away, out into space, along with
29:08.956 --> 29:27.100
[DEREK]: it looked fantastic really did yeah I love I loved even the concept of that's where even though they've defeated the the attack let's let's put it that way from the Viltramites the falling ship could end up could end the planet the ship is so big it's split into two
29:27.080 --> 29:40.436
[DEREK]: It starts out there's not enough for them to fight it off everybody that's a supposed to be in the battle needs to come together to get the ship out of the atmosphere So it doesn't destroy the planet just as a consequence of getting rid of the virtual minds.
29:40.456 --> 29:48.025
[DEREK]: Yeah, they could have destroyed the entire planet without actually being there You know, I love that as a as a movement within the war of a really cool really cool
29:49.270 --> 29:49.891
[CHRIS]: Absolutely.
29:50.011 --> 29:52.735
[CHRIS]: And then we do get the battle on the planet.
29:52.795 --> 29:53.657
[CHRIS]: It's fantastic.
29:54.278 --> 30:08.359
[CHRIS]: It's like seeing Oliver go toe to toe again, see because they obviously so that's that training montage time with Nolan on the planet has
30:08.339 --> 30:11.483
[CHRIS]: kind of up to skill set and kind of again.
30:11.503 --> 30:19.673
[CHRIS]: And then just seeing Nolan do be Nolan and go hell for leather.
30:19.734 --> 30:24.820
[CHRIS]: He was one of their one of their big one of the backs one of the brightest.
30:24.860 --> 30:32.710
[CHRIS]: So we do see him and Mark Kikas like they are theoretically
30:33.247 --> 30:33.828
[CHRIS]: to a degree.
30:34.368 --> 30:34.909
[CHRIS]: Invincible.
30:35.289 --> 30:35.529
[DEREK]: Oh yeah.
30:36.250 --> 30:36.931
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
30:36.951 --> 30:37.311
[DEREK]: Yeah.
30:37.331 --> 30:40.314
[DEREK]: That's always meant something bad for Mark throughout the season.
30:40.334 --> 30:40.434
[DEREK]: Yeah.
30:40.454 --> 30:42.696
[DEREK]: So it hasn't always been you're invincible.
30:42.816 --> 30:44.818
[DEREK]: Therefore you can take a lot of punishment.
30:44.838 --> 30:51.325
[DEREK]: So we will rip you apart on the episode starts out with the two months punishment for ever being invincible in the last fight.
30:51.385 --> 30:54.988
[DEREK]: So so it is great to see a fight that they can win here.
30:55.008 --> 31:02.055
[DEREK]: I think that that was really good or they do win at the battle in this episode.
31:02.035 --> 31:03.778
[DEREK]: Yeah, no problem.
31:03.798 --> 31:09.968
[DEREK]: I can't believe you changed the title of this point, Chris, because you didn't know the reference.
31:10.309 --> 31:11.731
[DEREK]: Chris called this war was declared.
31:11.751 --> 31:17.260
[DEREK]: I was referencing Futurama with the line war were declared because
31:17.240 --> 31:31.528
[DEREK]: It's a joke from Futurama where they all go and join the space force and they're told don't worry Just sit around do nothing drink beers have fun on less war with declared and then Instantly the alarm goes off saying war we're declared.
31:31.708 --> 31:33.211
[DEREK]: So that's the joke.
31:33.371 --> 31:34.894
[DEREK]: So there you go
31:34.874 --> 31:41.669
[DEREK]: I now do explain my jokes because yeah, you don't read what's written in front of you It's all right.
31:41.749 --> 31:53.355
[CHRIS]: It's all right With you know I'm wrong burgundy most of the time The time I thought it was a typo and I thought it was actually being clever
31:53.335 --> 31:54.216
[DEREK]: That's all right.
31:54.236 --> 31:54.957
[DEREK]: Sorry, Chris.
31:54.977 --> 31:57.300
[DEREK]: My fault for not preparing you in advance.
31:57.820 --> 32:02.726
[DEREK]: And in the house on the war or the battle, that that part of the battle in this episode, Chris.
32:02.946 --> 32:03.527
[CHRIS]: No, nothing to me.
32:03.547 --> 32:04.087
[CHRIS]: What about yourself?
32:04.688 --> 32:17.723
[DEREK]: Just one thing we didn't mention was just the arrival of Alan and Techjack, because they overhear the fact that the villager my two were looking for them are going to move, but they don't want to get away from their game.
32:17.703 --> 32:26.032
[DEREK]: They're hoping that if they go to the planet, they'll be able to conceal themselves with the coalition Get away from the Vilchumites that are looking for them.
32:26.493 --> 32:32.280
[DEREK]: Um, but just two more minutes and they might don't make complete the game Hey, we've all been there.
32:32.740 --> 32:38.847
[CHRIS]: You we all feel Yeah, I have a many a time go this this to I'm sorry, honey.
32:39.348 --> 32:42.411
[CHRIS]: I can't help right now this game doesn't have a positive
32:42.391 --> 32:47.243
[DEREK]: Such a lie, Kelly, if you're listening and I know you are, there's a pause on every single video game.
32:47.263 --> 32:50.210
[DEREK]: Never let someone tell you they have to finish something.
32:50.471 --> 32:52.696
[DEREK]: They're just in the moment, but you can pause it.
32:53.378 --> 32:56.064
[CHRIS]: How do you think there's like service games that do you know how to pause?
32:56.144 --> 33:00.535
[CHRIS]: Yeah, but you don't play those, Chris, I doubt you, that's...
33:00.515 --> 33:14.014
[DEREK]: Well, I will say when I fell down the stairs at the start of the year and I'm fractured by Uncle John was playing a game on the Playstation and said just give me two more minutes and I had to kind of share a little later to say it was a little more important.
33:15.616 --> 33:18.560
[CHRIS]: And I do those things.
33:19.502 --> 33:27.653
[DEREK]: I do love that I actually, in this case of Alan and tack jacket, the game is procedurally generated by her suit.
33:27.633 --> 33:48.308
[DEREK]: it may never appear again in the same exactly so they may have been right that it would just have a two-way minutes but I think the joke is that they just couldn't tear themselves away from how cool that the game is anyway yeah I'd like to move on to it for a three point number three yeah I'm gonna call this attack on Viltron and
33:48.288 --> 33:55.977
[DEREK]: mostly because of attack on Titan, of course, but the other reason is because that's the decision that they make at the end of the episode.
33:56.638 --> 34:01.303
[DEREK]: We have the the strike on Thelestra, which has been pushed back.
34:02.384 --> 34:17.502
[DEREK]: But they find that the reason the strike happened and why it was so easy for the votes from it to get there is because the mole has lowered the defenses of the coalition's home plan of Thelestra.
34:18.477 --> 34:23.470
[DEREK]: Yes, Chris we had a discussion on episode two of the season about did we remember who the mole was?
34:24.553 --> 34:27.440
[DEREK]: Yes, did we remember who the mole was Chris?
34:27.500 --> 34:28.824
[DEREK]: Yes, you did remember.
34:28.884 --> 34:29.365
[DEREK]: Okay.
34:29.385 --> 34:30.428
[CHRIS]: Yeah, no, no, I did.
34:30.849 --> 34:33.115
[CHRIS]: I'd like it and they didn't change it.
34:33.877 --> 34:35.220
[CHRIS]: It was just like hmm
34:36.314 --> 34:42.199
[CHRIS]: They make it obvious, like, and again, like we have seen previously who the more walls.
34:42.560 --> 34:43.520
[DEREK]: We have seen this character.
34:43.721 --> 34:45.783
[DEREK]: And yeah, we saw them the last time.
34:46.523 --> 34:53.129
[DEREK]: Alan was asked the coalition home plan after he was recovering effectively from being toward a park by the Vichmites.
34:53.790 --> 34:56.792
[DEREK]: And where he got his powers and got his abilities.
34:57.333 --> 35:06.321
[DEREK]: The reason I was confused on it, because my memory isn't as good as yours, the reason I was confused on it was because there was
35:06.301 --> 35:24.996
[DEREK]: Thadia himself was a mole or not because of how he was treating Alan like he turned off the switch on the respirator that was keeping Alan alive and we were going with is he the mole is that what he's just done there But it was supposed to be pushing Alan beyond the bands and he's definitely not a mole He is the person leading the coalition there.
35:25.517 --> 35:27.060
[DEREK]: So that's what I was confused
35:27.040 --> 35:30.185
[DEREK]: So we now know the bowl he has revealed.
35:30.525 --> 35:43.844
[DEREK]: I love that when they respect the other security officer That that works with them and then they realize it's not him when the actual bowl is revealed He gets instantly shot in the head by the guy that's been working with him day in day eggs for years on edge, right?
35:44.485 --> 35:49.032
[CHRIS]: Yeah, I think I supposed to be brothers or something like it's something twins clowns
35:49.012 --> 35:53.437
[DEREK]: There's certainly from the same species and there's certainly a work together for a very long time.
35:54.337 --> 36:02.165
[DEREK]: So I loved there's a bullet through his head, but as with everything in an invincible a bullet through his head doesn't necessarily mean he can't tell the conversation for another ten minutes.
36:02.366 --> 36:10.674
[DEREK]: No, it's not killing, and I think someone to else threatens to put another bullet through his head, and so it seems quite painful, but doesn't kill him.
36:10.694 --> 36:14.378
[CHRIS]: Yeah, you know, because that's the way it works in even in real life, you know?
36:14.948 --> 36:31.319
[CHRIS]: Yeah, we have a we have a medical doctor in our fellow defenders so if he wants to confirm that a bullet through You don't have to see that one after Bob I promise now Pretty sure bullet through the head does not allow you to continue.
36:31.339 --> 36:33.042
[DEREK]: Um, that's not play with guns kids
36:33.022 --> 36:33.402
[CHRIS]: No.
36:34.444 --> 36:37.327
[CHRIS]: Yes, we got which I get to a PSA.
36:38.288 --> 36:41.352
[CHRIS]: Um, I look, I enjoy this.
36:41.472 --> 36:45.377
[CHRIS]: I like this aspect of like they didn't need to change it to the didn't change it.
36:46.158 --> 36:46.318
[CHRIS]: Mm-hmm.
36:46.338 --> 36:47.379
[CHRIS]: Kind of kept it where it is.
36:48.120 --> 36:58.793
[CHRIS]: It does set up the final, the, the, the fun to episodes are pronounce it and then the finale where they are bringing the war.
36:59.718 --> 37:10.065
[CHRIS]: They bring the fight to the Vultimate, they're going back to Paratilchum, they're going to, or what is left of it, we will see the Great Rings, which is made up of.
37:10.180 --> 37:18.129
[CHRIS]: the billions and billions and billions of dead filtromites to kind of going around the planet.
37:18.149 --> 37:23.394
[CHRIS]: And we know that there's less than maybe 40 filtromites left.
37:24.776 --> 37:26.578
[CHRIS]: So it is kind of smaller numbers.
37:27.158 --> 37:33.505
[CHRIS]: So it's interesting to see that what we will get and please remember,
37:33.485 --> 37:36.776
[CHRIS]: Like, you still have to scourge virus 2.0.
37:37.197 --> 37:37.899
[CHRIS]: Yeah, that's right.
37:37.919 --> 37:44.541
[CHRIS]: Sitting there, um, and Thadias is not, and has not been known.
37:45.770 --> 38:01.641
[CHRIS]: We let me say this, we talked about how we turned off Alan's support, just to kind of that was to make him stronger and better, it's actually such a turn, but we know he will do the hard thing for what he believes is the right.
38:02.423 --> 38:03.525
[CHRIS]: So is it...
38:04.619 --> 38:16.857
[CHRIS]: Will he release the scourge to point out at even when he knows himself, Nolan, Mark, and Oliver will suffer.
38:17.090 --> 38:42.186
[DEREK]: yeah yeah yeah there may be another show that has a very similar premise at the moment as well but yes one of the things I do like about this the conversations that are that are had here as well is that the reason why the mole is willing to turn on the coalition is because he absolutely believes the filter much are going to win no matter what
38:42.166 --> 38:50.176
[DEREK]: And even after being caught, even after the Vultimates were repelled, even after hearing there's only 51 of them left when there was 51 of them left.
38:50.677 --> 38:54.902
[DEREK]: Even after all of that information he's going, I still think they're going to win.
38:55.803 --> 39:01.431
[DEREK]: So yeah, he was always a mole and was always going to turn it on the coalition.
39:01.471 --> 39:02.572
[DEREK]: So I really really like that.
39:02.632 --> 39:07.178
[DEREK]: But yes, they're going to set ice for a Viltrum to try and take ice.
39:07.546 --> 39:15.556
[DEREK]: the leaders of the Viltrumites, whoever left on the planet before the rest of them arrived back and before they can kick their forces into gear.
39:16.357 --> 39:21.404
[DEREK]: One of the things I was just completely for you to have to mention is probably a note just in the battle.
39:22.025 --> 39:26.871
[DEREK]: That was really interesting that Nolan was the one that called out that the
39:26.851 --> 39:39.053
[DEREK]: troops that are working for the Viltromites are slaves, don't kill them because hopefully they can join us in the fight if we can save them and if we can break them away from the Viltromites, that's really unusual for Nolan.
39:39.073 --> 39:49.992
[DEREK]: And almost felt like he was taking that lesson that he learned from Oliver and translating that to, you know, maybe we don't punish everybody here and kill everybody in front of me, maybe I maybe there are ways to save some people.
39:50.073 --> 39:51.475
[DEREK]: So that's what that was quite interesting.
39:52.079 --> 39:53.882
[CHRIS]: Yeah, and that's what I took it for.
39:53.942 --> 40:00.192
[CHRIS]: That's how I took it to be that they have he has gotten through and that Nolan is slowly growing.
40:00.492 --> 40:02.155
[DEREK]: He's finally learning, huh?
40:02.175 --> 40:04.198
[CHRIS]: Yes, slowly, slowly, slowly.
40:04.218 --> 40:04.619
[CHRIS]: Oh, so slow.
40:05.661 --> 40:07.243
[CHRIS]: Hey, he's been around for thousands of years.
40:07.283 --> 40:07.764
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
40:07.784 --> 40:09.767
[CHRIS]: Oh, he's over a thousand years old today.
40:09.787 --> 40:12.231
[CHRIS]: So that was correct terminology.
40:12.667 --> 40:13.869
[DEREK]: Yes, absolutely.
40:14.129 --> 40:14.570
[DEREK]: Absolutely.
40:16.233 --> 40:36.447
[DEREK]: We have one post-credits scene, which is the greatest post-credits scene of the show so far, absolutely loved this, because I was watching this for John husband and another co-host for this episode, as the camera pans to the grave of conquest.
40:36.427 --> 40:42.015
[DEREK]: And both of us groaned going, oh, no, please, God, don't let them do this in the show.
40:42.055 --> 40:58.958
[DEREK]: The characters, Dylan, they've done two massive battles with them, yet was fun to have the character on there, yet was fun to have Steven Young vs. Jeffrey D. Morgan once again on screen, done over and then it's just silent sunscreen at the cold dead grave of conquest.
40:58.978 --> 41:02.383
[DEREK]: He hasn't moved one eye as a character's knuckle and back.
41:02.363 --> 41:03.906
[DEREK]: Fantastic work.
41:04.207 --> 41:13.325
[DEREK]: It must have taken a lot of convincing by the animation team by the director and the writer of the episode to go right We're gonna have this scene where the camera pans over.
41:13.646 --> 41:19.037
[DEREK]: It's gonna cost money to make But the whole point is a joke about the fact that we're gonna not bring in cut cuts back.
41:19.298 --> 41:19.679
[DEREK]: I love it.
41:19.699 --> 41:21.402
[DEREK]: Yeah, absolutely love it
41:21.382 --> 41:22.923
[CHRIS]: I thought it was fantastic.
41:22.943 --> 41:25.486
[CHRIS]: And I did, I did the exact same.
41:26.146 --> 41:28.969
[CHRIS]: I took, I knew in the comment books, he didn't come back.
41:28.989 --> 41:34.373
[CHRIS]: So I was like, wait, no, no, don't do this just as exactly D Morgan.
41:34.674 --> 41:35.995
[CHRIS]: Don't make this change.
41:37.116 --> 41:39.117
[CHRIS]: And then so it worked for both.
41:39.298 --> 41:42.440
[CHRIS]: It worked for people who have on all sides of the aisle.
41:42.460 --> 41:42.881
[DEREK]: Excellent.
41:43.021 --> 41:43.401
[DEREK]: Excellent.
41:43.461 --> 41:43.761
[DEREK]: Love us.
41:44.162 --> 41:44.462
[DEREK]: Love us.
41:46.704 --> 41:51.388
[DEREK]: Any notes, Chris, anything else we haven't spoken about in the episode that you would like to
41:51.368 --> 41:53.372
[CHRIS]: I just want to call it Talia.
41:54.053 --> 42:08.339
[CHRIS]: Alan's girlfriend, General Talia, just it's good to see the character as she is and they do animated very well when they're showing that kind of war montage in that.
42:09.922 --> 42:14.811
[CHRIS]: You can see the destruction and the toll the war is taking on.
42:15.331 --> 42:25.080
[CHRIS]: those who are not, who are not all in those who are not, like the war is hell, is the old adage.
42:25.100 --> 42:28.123
[CHRIS]: And I think that's kind of played I very well in this.
42:28.943 --> 42:40.694
[CHRIS]: Especially as she is, like we've already seen that she believed that she had sentenced, Nolan, the rest of two, they're demise to their death by leaving them.
42:41.234 --> 42:45.338
[CHRIS]: So just want to call that
42:45.318 --> 43:05.335
[DEREK]: And I think, you know, casting, again, brilliant on the show and having to tell the Anna Maslani playing the character of Sally is fantastic, got she's just a ghost for all of the shows that we cover, like from She-Hulk to Star Trek, Starfleet Academy, fantastic over there and has been great on an invincible as well.
43:05.315 --> 43:07.941
[DEREK]: She's hilarious when she does comedy stuff.
43:08.643 --> 43:17.164
[DEREK]: She's really good when she does drama as well So great to have an actress that can do both sides of it in the show here with with Alan as the as a partner It's great.
43:17.265 --> 43:18.107
[DEREK]: So yeah really good.
43:18.127 --> 43:21.535
[CHRIS]: Yeah, so who do you think is win her current page in a flash?
43:21.515 --> 43:30.285
[DEREK]: Is she tallya or is she she'll cause if she she she'll she'll go in See, absolutely great stuff.
43:31.006 --> 43:46.223
[DEREK]: I do have a tiny bit of feedback Before we get into feedback Chris because we asked Are you you mentioned them there the wonderful doctor Bob you asked a question of them on the podcast a couple of Episodes ago about are there such things verbally transmitted diseases?
43:46.203 --> 44:10.489
[DEREK]: He actually got back to us and says, I've got to admit that this not being a well-recognized mode of transmission, the only one I can vaguely point at as a disease or illness state would be the joint psychosis of Falaid Odu, which is where one person or two people fall into the same incorrect belief, I guess, probably made famous recently with the terrible second Joker movie
44:10.469 --> 44:18.260
[CHRIS]: Oh, yes, that's so, so famous, I forgot it, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
44:18.300 --> 44:19.602
[CHRIS]: Well, thank you, Dr. Bob.
44:20.283 --> 44:27.935
[CHRIS]: I will stick with that a verbally transmitted diseases is a product and is trademarked by TV podcast industries.
44:28.095 --> 44:30.218
[CHRIS]: So, that is ours now.
44:30.438 --> 44:39.852
[CHRIS]: And if you have been, have succumbed to a VTI.
44:39.832 --> 44:43.220
[CHRIS]: And we're going to get off this track, but thank you, Dr. Bob, for getting back to us.
44:43.761 --> 44:58.414
[CHRIS]: So, DEC, before we get into feedback from our other fellow invincible guardians, do you want to let me know your final thoughts for this episode, like give me where are you as we come into our penultimate episode.
44:58.664 --> 45:02.470
[DEREK]: I've really been loving the season of events, but I think it's been really, really strong.
45:02.831 --> 45:13.268
[DEREK]: And to take the time to have Mark heal from his wounds for two months before they travel on to join the battle, I thought it was really interesting.
45:13.849 --> 45:24.587
[DEREK]: And the fact that it become this arc between Nolan and Oliver, where they men their differences and become stronger themselves in their own relationship, I thought that was really, really smart.
45:24.567 --> 45:29.873
[DEREK]: It wasn't just go in and let's punch things, which is what it's, what it seemed to be.
45:29.913 --> 45:35.159
[DEREK]: It seemed to be get everybody together and then we'll go in and punch a filter mic, coming into last episode.
45:35.860 --> 45:39.745
[DEREK]: But here, this took the time to work on character.
45:39.825 --> 45:42.828
[DEREK]: This is a character focused show, so it always should do that.
45:43.529 --> 45:44.550
[DEREK]: But we also got the battle.
45:44.590 --> 45:53.781
[DEREK]: We also got mega battle all across the galaxy, various locations, the massive battle
45:53.761 --> 45:59.066
[DEREK]: the map of how the coalition was actually winning across the galaxy gives hope to this battle.
45:59.106 --> 46:09.095
[DEREK]: It's always felt a little hopeless every time you see a villager might come to Earth and beast the earthlings day and so badly that you go, how could they possibly win at this 51 of them?
46:10.176 --> 46:13.939
[DEREK]: But at least there is some battles going on where the coalition have been winning.
46:14.039 --> 46:15.501
[DEREK]: So I'm pushing them into a corner.
46:16.021 --> 46:22.587
[DEREK]: Let's see what happens when the villager might
46:22.567 --> 46:23.857
[DEREK]: Yeah, been really good.
46:23.877 --> 46:26.839
[DEREK]: A habit of self-course, where do you think of this translation or where do you think of this episode?
46:27.427 --> 46:30.691
[CHRIS]: I thought it was that perfect kind of setup.
46:31.071 --> 46:32.312
[CHRIS]: It was a great translation.
46:33.934 --> 46:42.063
[CHRIS]: I talked about how sometimes I felt that they were rushing some of the narrative aspects of Nolan's rehabilitation.
46:42.704 --> 46:52.995
[CHRIS]: This gave it that time to breathe by using the correct use of the montage and from the years we've seen it across TV.
46:52.975 --> 46:57.000
[CHRIS]: And I like how it ends, I like how it sets us up.
46:58.141 --> 47:02.787
[CHRIS]: It'd be interesting to see how much they put through for the next two episodes.
47:02.807 --> 47:07.933
[CHRIS]: So this is the gut of two hours worth of content still yet to come.
47:08.855 --> 47:12.799
[CHRIS]: And setting up the next season.
47:13.360 --> 47:15.563
[CHRIS]: So overall, I love this.
47:15.823 --> 47:18.026
[CHRIS]: I'm happy where we were at the animation.
47:18.066 --> 47:19.708
[CHRIS]: Just gave us some...
47:19.688 --> 47:22.210
[CHRIS]: radically beautiful shots.
47:24.192 --> 47:25.894
[CHRIS]: That you just kind of go, do you know what?
47:25.954 --> 47:37.564
[CHRIS]: That's like someone's spent six months of their life animating those ten seconds and or multiple people's spent months of their life thousands.
47:37.724 --> 47:49.695
[CHRIS]: Yeah, animating those few seconds and it really kind of comes
47:49.675 --> 47:56.084
[CHRIS]: So, Derek, with all that said and done, should we get into some of the feedback from our fellow guardians?
47:56.484 --> 48:03.514
[DEREK]: Absolutely, yeah, first up, I missed a bit of feedback from Richard Blaze on last week's episode episode five, so I'm going to read that first.
48:04.355 --> 48:09.402
[DEREK]: He says, excellent to see the show back to its roots, lots of swearing and evisceration, though I do have a minor gripe.
48:09.702 --> 48:14.248
[DEREK]: Great to see the Star Trek characters being pretty well as useless as always.
48:14.228 --> 48:29.925
[DEREK]: Like the montage of Dane Time whilst on the ship and I'm also not 100% convinced on Nolan's true motives just yes, you'd think that with the Viltramites being practically indestructible they'd want to look after themselves a bit better, the two supporting conquests were sporting the class, dad bought.
48:29.905 --> 48:37.533
[DEREK]: And speaking of Conquest Man, I love him as a character and really, really wish he'll make another appearance in some way, and Mark, Sweet Sweet Mark, he'll be fine.
48:37.854 --> 48:41.438
[DEREK]: Yeah, still have to carry his intestines around in a wheelbarrow, but he's invincible.
48:41.458 --> 48:42.599
[DEREK]: It's just a scratch.
48:43.060 --> 48:44.161
[DEREK]: Great episode for me this week.
48:44.481 --> 48:45.282
[DEREK]: Now I'm a minor gripe.
48:45.663 --> 48:46.884
[DEREK]: No one's feasts.
48:46.904 --> 48:49.066
[DEREK]: Can the animators not draw feasts as to me?
48:49.146 --> 48:50.788
[DEREK]: They look well off.
48:50.808 --> 48:52.130
[DEREK]: Have a look, see if you agree.
48:52.851 --> 48:53.511
[DEREK]: Interesting.
48:53.952 --> 48:56.014
[DEREK]: That's their Richard.
48:55.994 --> 49:00.604
[DEREK]: You heard my thoughts earlier on in Congress, but I'm glad to know that lots of people like Congress.
49:01.057 --> 49:03.361
[CHRIS]: Yes, and well done on the Monty Python reference.
49:03.461 --> 49:03.882
[CHRIS]: Oh, really?
49:04.382 --> 49:07.387
[CHRIS]: Ah, we, it's good to, I'm not going to tell you what that reference was.
49:07.768 --> 49:26.659
[CHRIS]: If you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know
49:26.639 --> 49:50.352
[DEREK]: um they're just very large it's just like I I don't know why I don't like I can't put because sometimes they look normal sometimes they don't well I did a bit of an investigation on this oh okay so apparently the artist at the time I think it was um Ryan Offley at the time of this or might have been Cory Walker the other the other um the other um
49:50.332 --> 49:54.499
[DEREK]: illustrated in the comic books, apparently a rumor went around that he couldn't draw fees.
49:54.579 --> 50:00.568
[DEREK]: So for this whole arc of the comics, he made Nolan go around with no boots on.
50:01.109 --> 50:08.982
[DEREK]: He had boots when he was on Earth, but from the point he leaves Earth for the rest of the comic runner for most of the comic runner after that, Nolan.
50:08.962 --> 50:11.866
[DEREK]: has his feet eight so that he could prove that he drew feet.
50:12.226 --> 50:21.299
[DEREK]: So that's the reason why he has it's so the reason why in the animated show he has his feet on show all the time is because of that maybe the animator's catastrophic.
50:22.620 --> 50:27.126
[DEREK]: I didn't notice it but that's the reason specifically why no one has his feet eight or lost.
50:27.186 --> 50:30.891
[DEREK]: That was my that was the best investigation I could come up with another.
50:30.911 --> 50:31.392
[DEREK]: Brilliant.
50:31.372 --> 50:32.233
[CHRIS]: Absolutely.
50:32.433 --> 50:34.596
[CHRIS]: Well done for the year Active Journalism.
50:34.616 --> 50:34.977
[CHRIS]: There you go.
50:35.157 --> 50:35.638
[DEREK]: Always try.
50:35.818 --> 50:36.238
[DEREK]: Always try.
50:36.759 --> 50:38.842
[DEREK]: I'll have some feedback for Episode 6, Chris.
50:38.902 --> 50:40.984
[DEREK]: I don't want to give some of the email feedback there.
50:41.004 --> 50:48.474
[CHRIS]: Yes, first and foremost, we have an email in from the one-only coffee and vodka who had this to say, greetings fellow and battle defenders.
50:49.315 --> 50:57.125
[CHRIS]: A good solid meeting, necessary almost cinematic episode, which I could not find any standout moments for until the post-creditsy.
50:57.586 --> 50:59.168
[CHRIS]: Absolutely brilliant.
50:59.148 --> 51:14.993
[CHRIS]: an unexpected, wavy, meaningful, and only briefly plotting viewing experience, whose nuance I'll leave to others to find as one, I remain with shell-shocked and two, being only halfway through the watchless DD events below double-shot of the boys.
51:15.494 --> 51:18.979
[CHRIS]: This is a day that will go down in content history.
51:18.959 --> 51:25.971
[CHRIS]: 4.5 cosmic gaming sessions, anime moment and egg sucking heroes and a 5 piece and take care coffee and vodka.
51:26.431 --> 51:34.805
[CHRIS]: Thanks coffee and vodka, yes anime moment is some of the bits I talked about that they're just the beautiful animations in terms of those shots.
51:35.426 --> 51:37.710
[CHRIS]: Cosmic gaming can't.
51:37.910 --> 51:39.434
[CHRIS]: can't talk more about it.
51:39.835 --> 51:44.307
[CHRIS]: But you're right, we did miss the egg sucking heroes.
51:45.571 --> 51:54.214
[CHRIS]: Oh yeah, like we know we discussed that market with more protein, but that is a
51:54.194 --> 51:56.921
[CHRIS]: juicy color deck.
51:56.941 --> 51:59.026
[DEREK]: It certainly is, yes, it certainly is.
51:59.507 --> 52:06.483
[DEREK]: Yeah, I don't know whether I think I'd be happy to be in a coma and somebody feeding that to me rather than being awake and eating it myself.
52:07.305 --> 52:08.628
[DEREK]: That's like that.
52:08.949 --> 52:09.932
[DEREK]: Yeah, what a week though.
52:10.593 --> 52:12.237
[DEREK]: Yeah, so that effectively
52:12.217 --> 52:39.827
[DEREK]: what I was told in advance and I looked everywhere online for this was that their level came out at 2 a.m. GMT where we are in in Europe and then the boys the first two episodes came out at 5 a.m. and then invincible came out at 8 a.m. so I put up almost more of the post to all ground and then when I woke up I thought I'd miss read everything and that the boys was on on Thursday so I thought I'd messed everything up but yeah all four episodes of
52:39.807 --> 52:51.353
[DEREK]: The shows that we cover can actually win Wednesday and before work effectively so if I had been so inclined and had to get up in the middle of the night so I could have watched all episodes before starting work today.
52:52.042 --> 52:55.767
[CHRIS]: Yeah, no, I just need it.
52:56.849 --> 52:57.830
[DEREK]: I used to do that, Chris.
52:57.870 --> 52:58.631
[DEREK]: We take the day.
52:58.792 --> 52:59.713
[CHRIS]: It did.
52:59.733 --> 53:00.234
[CHRIS]: Oh my god.
53:00.434 --> 53:00.654
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
53:01.275 --> 53:02.397
[CHRIS]: Those days from week.
53:02.477 --> 53:03.478
[CHRIS]: That was definitely good.
53:03.819 --> 53:04.940
[DEREK]: That was definitely good.
53:04.960 --> 53:05.641
[DEREK]: Yes.
53:05.661 --> 53:06.402
[DEREK]: Fantastic though.
53:06.442 --> 53:07.223
[DEREK]: Glad you've been catching up.
53:07.243 --> 53:07.904
[DEREK]: Coffee vodka.
53:07.924 --> 53:10.388
[DEREK]: I can see your feedback in the after all the other episodes as well.
53:10.428 --> 53:11.890
[DEREK]: So we'll be able to talk about it later.
53:11.870 --> 53:14.052
[DEREK]: your thoughts on that, which ones are the best, I guess.
53:15.153 --> 53:37.135
[DEREK]: Over on Discord, Dr. Bob says for this episode, cracking, spaceships, heads, the surface of planets, and this episode, great to see the camping trip impossible recovery and a bit of serious father sometime, love the shall we just finish this level moment, and frankly, if he wasn't already pregnant, then one look at Mark with beard, I'm pretty sure nothing could stop it happening.
53:37.115 --> 53:48.186
[DEREK]: I've made my thoughts clear on Beards before, and I don't want to say again because Chris has appeared, and I think most of our listeners have Beards too.
53:48.306 --> 53:52.137
[DEREK]: I don't want to say it again, so yeah, yeah, yeah.
53:52.117 --> 53:56.645
[CHRIS]: Your thought is, I look so impressively like Nolan's fantastic beard.
53:56.745 --> 53:58.949
[CHRIS]: That's your thoughts, sick to it.
53:59.230 --> 54:09.028
[DEREK]: Yeah, I do love the gag, though, where all of our compliments, Mark's terrible beard, and Mark turns around and we go, oh, you grew a beard as well.
54:09.168 --> 54:12.534
[DEREK]: And the camera focuses in really, really close on the tiny whiskers.
54:12.714 --> 54:14.297
[DEREK]: They're on Oliver's Upper lip.
54:14.758 --> 54:15.880
[DEREK]: That's a very good little chick.
54:16.400 --> 54:26.792
[CHRIS]: Yeah, we all know one of those kids, but thanks Dr. Bob, we also got some feedback from the one lonely Joe Herbst who had this to say really enjoying these episodes.
54:27.193 --> 54:29.095
[CHRIS]: They put the new Daredevil to shame.
54:29.976 --> 54:33.080
[CHRIS]: Oh, Shroogamooji shots fire.
54:33.100 --> 54:34.281
[CHRIS]: Disagree strongly.
54:34.762 --> 54:38.906
[CHRIS]: They're they're too very distinct shows.
54:40.148 --> 54:45.394
[CHRIS]: But hey, so much like your Shroogamooji, if that's your opinion, sure.
54:45.374 --> 54:49.661
[CHRIS]: Okay, I glad you're enjoying Inventible.
54:49.681 --> 54:50.102
[DEREK]: Absolutely.
54:50.142 --> 54:51.764
[DEREK]: I glad you're enjoying Inventible as well.
54:52.045 --> 54:55.731
[DEREK]: I think it's just fun that it's the week that the episode of Daredevil this week.
54:55.751 --> 54:58.155
[DEREK]: I think it's the highest rated Marvel episodes.
54:58.175 --> 54:59.897
[DEREK]: And I ate years or something they said.
55:00.579 --> 55:01.981
[DEREK]: The ratings just give out for a post.
55:02.301 --> 55:02.742
[DEREK]: Look.
55:03.700 --> 55:13.963
[DEREK]: everybody has their opinion on shows right so we will we will let we will see how Joe felt about that over on our Daredevil podcast because then Joe did send us feedback for the episode which we'll discuss on the next episode of Daredevil.
55:14.465 --> 55:15.988
[DEREK]: Thanks Joe for your thoughts on this one.
55:16.306 --> 55:19.912
[CHRIS]: And finally, we have a bit of feedback in from the one known me, Richard Blaze.
55:20.853 --> 55:21.595
[CHRIS]: What an episode!
55:21.895 --> 55:27.885
[CHRIS]: I love the bonding between Oliver and Nolan, so I'm just a, though their culinary skills I think will pass on.
55:28.446 --> 55:33.234
[CHRIS]: Nice to see Mark making a return and sporting a beard, any teenager would be proud of.
55:33.594 --> 55:34.095
[CHRIS]: Question.
55:35.189 --> 55:38.054
[CHRIS]: Are the filtromites weaker this time around?
55:38.414 --> 55:41.480
[CHRIS]: They seem a little bit too easily dispatched off at times.
55:42.261 --> 55:46.889
[CHRIS]: But at least we got to see the greatest transform or ever Optimus Prime showing us worth.
55:47.991 --> 55:50.635
[CHRIS]: To your question Rich, no, they're not.
55:50.756 --> 55:59.290
[CHRIS]: It's just we know Nolan and Mark and Oliver and Alan have gotten stronger.
55:59.270 --> 56:17.616
[CHRIS]: like so that what we've learned through the years is that essentially Mark is like a muscle the more he trains his strength and his speed and stuff that the fastener stronger he gets so the more he has been beaten the hell out of and
56:17.596 --> 56:18.739
[CHRIS]: He comes back stronger.
56:18.920 --> 56:23.713
[CHRIS]: His bones come back and break and then come kind of reformed strong, etc.
56:24.234 --> 56:28.005
[DEREK]: I was quite the strongest now after his entire intestines of reformed.
56:28.185 --> 56:30.311
[CHRIS]: Yeah, he just means he hit eat anything now.
56:30.331 --> 56:31.374
[DEREK]: Yeah, exactly exactly.
56:31.414 --> 56:32.938
[DEREK]: I mean, he can eat two of those eggs.
56:32.918 --> 56:41.233
[DEREK]: Um, I suppose the other thing is this is a strategic decision from Thrag, right, to to call every back.
56:41.634 --> 56:43.918
[DEREK]: It looks like the Viltamites were actually going to continue the battle.
56:43.978 --> 56:48.005
[DEREK]: The ones that were in in fights until Thrag called them to go.
56:48.045 --> 56:51.051
[DEREK]: And the minute he called him to go, everybody leaves the planet, right?
56:51.131 --> 56:52.834
[DEREK]: So, um, so yeah, they are.
56:52.814 --> 57:07.278
[DEREK]: While their numbers are low, what they say strategically is the coalition that are going after Viltromites on their own and they're using weapons to kill Viltromites specifically given to them by Nolan, when himself and Alan went around the galaxy, picking them up.
57:07.719 --> 57:14.029
[DEREK]: So their strategies take off the ones out on the edges, the Viltromites.
57:14.127 --> 57:35.798
[DEREK]: are fighting a massive battle against people that are well equipped to fight against them and strategically they've decided to leave and decided to go back to a filtering but I don't think they're less powerful I think it's just they're gonna walk away from the fight to gather up and win the war or at least that's what they think.
57:36.284 --> 57:36.705
[DEREK]: I don't know.
57:36.926 --> 57:40.575
[DEREK]: I don't know anything about what's going to happen in the next two episodes, but I'm very much looking forward to your Chris.
57:41.076 --> 57:41.276
[CHRIS]: Good.
57:41.778 --> 57:42.700
[CHRIS]: That is the main thing.
57:42.880 --> 57:49.517
[CHRIS]: With all that said and done then, should we end our episode and our discussion of
57:50.830 --> 57:56.256
[CHRIS]: Episode 6, you look horrible because this week has been content, heavy and crazy.
57:56.616 --> 58:07.208
[CHRIS]: So if you haven't, make sure you pop on over to our Daredevil board again, feed and check out the latest episode there and then why not because you may be listening to it here.
58:08.009 --> 58:09.390
[CHRIS]: The final season of the boys.
58:10.251 --> 58:20.803
[CHRIS]: We are dropping our episodes on our coverage this week, so make sure you tune in and listen.
58:21.037 --> 58:23.642
[CHRIS]: Yes, and we will be back with episode 7.
58:23.662 --> 58:26.086
[CHRIS]: Don't do anything rush.
58:26.627 --> 58:29.351
[DEREK]: Ooh, I believe we're almost at the Pnotch of an episode, Chris.
58:30.033 --> 58:30.594
[CHRIS]: Yeah, I know.
58:30.974 --> 58:31.235
[CHRIS]: I know.
58:31.635 --> 58:32.797
[CHRIS]: It's gone too fast.
58:32.998 --> 58:33.739
[DEREK]: It's been a great series.
58:34.140 --> 58:39.990
[DEREK]: But I guess, you know, when they drop a few episodes on the same day, it always feels like it goes really, really quickly, doesn't it?
58:40.392 --> 58:40.913
[CHRIS]: Yeah.
58:40.933 --> 58:44.998
[CHRIS]: If it was any more, we'd be wanting shorter, if it was any less, we'd be wanting more.
58:45.038 --> 58:46.099
[CHRIS]: So it's just right.
58:46.480 --> 58:46.660
[CHRIS]: Wow.
58:46.940 --> 58:47.701
[DEREK]: That was, that was.
58:47.982 --> 58:48.222
[DEREK]: Yes.
58:48.502 --> 58:49.664
[DEREK]: Thanks so much for joining us.
58:49.684 --> 58:50.805
[DEREK]: I hope you're not sick.
58:50.845 --> 58:53.709
[DEREK]: I'm always as I keep saying on all of the podcast that we're doing.
58:54.050 --> 58:55.632
[DEREK]: Because I'm doing a lot at the moment.
58:56.052 --> 58:59.356
[DEREK]: And I hope you'll be back with us for the next episode of Invincible.
58:59.396 --> 58:59.797
[DEREK]: I'll tell them.
59:00.217 --> 59:00.698
[DEREK]: Speak to you soon.
59:01.399 --> 59:01.619
[CHRIS]: Yes.
59:01.759 --> 59:02.400
[CHRIS]: Thank you so much.
59:02.581 --> 59:03.822
[CHRIS]: We'll speak to you again next week.
59:04.223 --> 59:07.126
[CHRIS]: Remember, keep watching, keep listening, and keep being invincible.
