02:28 --> 02:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, fellow boys and girls, fellow quizzes.
02:31 --> 02:33 [SPEAKER_02]: Let's get into our pub quiz.
02:33 --> 02:36 [SPEAKER_02]: It is question one from of course, episode one.
02:36 --> 02:39 [SPEAKER_02]: What is the name of the cabin and location?
02:39 --> 02:45 [SPEAKER_02]: We're Starlight and Kameko, meet up with a train to ask him to be a part of the breakout.
02:45 --> 02:50 [SPEAKER_02]: It is bunk 18 in Wagner Woods or Wagner Woods.
02:50 --> 02:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Or Wagner Woods, if we want to be operatic about it?
02:53 --> 02:58 [SPEAKER_01]: I always thought that was specifically spelled to the V though, there to give that's, and then for all their kind name.
02:58 --> 02:59 [SPEAKER_01]: Was it W?
02:59 --> 03:00 [SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
03:00 --> 03:04 [SPEAKER_01]: It is more likely to do it right with the vulgaries than from a vulgar.
03:07 --> 03:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Those are the information there, your question, to point people to the right scene to pick that edge, but make it a little more difficult than just the title of the episode, as we've discussed back on episode one.
03:16 --> 03:20 [SPEAKER_01]: And onto episode two are one of my favorite questions for the season.
03:20 --> 03:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Question two was the teenage kicks member, Kentus Crow only has two crows left, water, their names, and the answer was Cameron and Russell Crow.
03:29 --> 03:31 [SPEAKER_01]: In Cameron Crow and Russell Crow.
03:31 --> 03:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Fantastic stuff.
03:32 --> 03:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Very good.
03:33 --> 03:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, love that one.
03:35 --> 03:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Question three from episode three.
03:37 --> 03:42 [SPEAKER_02]: What was the name of the medal presented by Vice President Ashley to soldier boy?
03:43 --> 03:48 [SPEAKER_02]: It is the first ever democratic medal of patriotic freedom.
03:49 --> 03:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
03:50 --> 03:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Trust an authoritarian state to come up with all of those.
03:53 --> 03:57 [SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like the medal of patronizing freedom.
03:57 --> 03:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Also acceptable.
04:00 --> 04:15 [SPEAKER_01]: And he went on to question four from episode four what soup is in charge of the police department where Annie's dad is sheriff and the soup there was live wire He was the soup that was redening up people people supporting a starlice or starlice in the local area.
04:15 --> 04:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yes We didn't actually get to see him effort is really nope.
04:19 --> 04:25 [SPEAKER_01]: No, we didn't just got to see the One of the other members of her dad's team came around to the house to try and rest of all.
04:26 --> 04:28 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, excellent just as he would
04:31 --> 04:46 [SPEAKER_01]: on to episode five fellow Chris is you're an anti-star home lander job as a which is it that you would come around to the hasten arrest as you would do because they're evil yeah okay let's read about
04:46 --> 04:50 [SPEAKER_02]: That's a question five from episodes five.
04:50 --> 04:52 [SPEAKER_02]: I hope you're getting the pattern.
04:52 --> 04:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Now What does the deep suggests?
04:55 --> 04:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Communion wafer's be replaced with in the democratic church of America.
05:00 --> 05:02 [SPEAKER_02]: It is nilla wafer's or
05:02 --> 05:03 [SPEAKER_02]: vanilla wafers.
05:04 --> 05:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just put that in because the actual name of the product is vanilla wafers but lots of people actually wrote it down as vanilla wafers because they just directed themselves thinking I haven't heard that properly but in the US there were a product called vanilla wafers.
05:15 --> 05:16 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's right.
05:16 --> 05:17 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess all vanilla.
05:18 --> 05:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes absolutely yeah, but it's just it's just that's the brand name that was called like right.
05:21 --> 05:27 [SPEAKER_01]: It's actually wanted to get them replaced for communion because that is his contribution to the brand
05:32 --> 05:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, in fairness, yes, tasty waifers, rather than, I just, it's like the, it's like the sherbet flying sources with that kind of rice paper, but without the sherbet.
05:45 --> 05:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think you can suggest in a church that what you need is some, some flying sauce, which served with the middle of them, just for that three-second years of waifers.
05:54 --> 05:58 [SPEAKER_01]: It's the body of Christ John, not the body of the aliens in a safe fit.
05:58 --> 05:59 [SPEAKER_01]: The busy body of the aliens.
06:00 --> 06:03 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm on to our next garage of grossing six.
06:03 --> 06:07 [SPEAKER_01]: What does death smell like according to the legend chat Vanderbilt?
06:08 --> 06:11 [SPEAKER_01]: He says it smells of hand sanitizer and the Zanya.
06:12 --> 06:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
06:13 --> 06:16 [SPEAKER_02]: As we grow old, we start to take on those perfumes.
06:19 --> 06:19 [SPEAKER_02]: or do we?
06:20 --> 06:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Or if you do start to recognize these spells, run, run away from run, quickly from Italian, Italian restaurants with, oh, good, a good, a good hand grazing.
06:32 --> 06:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good.
06:32 --> 06:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
06:33 --> 06:39 [SPEAKER_02]: On to question seven, what is the name of the topless stake house in Reno?
06:39 --> 06:55 [SPEAKER_01]: It is the juicy rack of a ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-
07:05 --> 07:32 [SPEAKER_01]: I now forever know it is raised and exactly our final question question is for the final episode ever of the boys our question was what three items does he we buy pregnant and eat to stable for nausea it was ginger beer ginger candies and saltines or the three items talked about pointed out to us that there's only in the last year or so a tablet has been developed to take care of people that have morning sickness during their pregnancy period so
07:33 --> 07:42 [SPEAKER_01]: So, only recently, I have to come up with an invention that can actually take care of the nausea rather than you have it to take multiple, multiple things to suffer, your stomach, just have a tablet there.
07:43 --> 07:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent, stuffy.
07:45 --> 07:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Actually, the next step.
07:46 --> 07:52 [SPEAKER_02]: I wonder if that's really specific towards it being sort of morning sickness or whether it could do all sickness.
07:52 --> 07:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Is it like, generally mean?
07:54 --> 08:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's specifically to the old issue that has been around about medicine is that most medicine was tested and created poor man or on men and then adjusted for women after it's if women were lucky and they would be involved in the process and actually it would be made completely for them.
08:12 --> 08:17 [SPEAKER_01]: So only in the last 10 15 years of a loss of medications been specifically developed and targeted towards
08:18 --> 08:18 [SPEAKER_01]: towards women.
08:18 --> 08:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
08:19 --> 08:36 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think another evolution on that is that is why cats and dog medicines are really advanced because a lot of medication would be tested in its initial stages on cats and dogs.
08:36 --> 08:38 [SPEAKER_02]: At least maybe to begin with.
08:38 --> 08:39 [SPEAKER_02]: So maybe it's
08:39 --> 08:56 [SPEAKER_02]: maybe it sort of reduced down now that you know there's the anti sort of animal testing however in a living animal and I think that was always why cats and dogs had quite good options of different medication.
08:56 --> 09:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Now whether you get that medication down a cat's neck without being scratched a death there's another matter entirely of course and but the other thing then that kind of leads
09:08 --> 09:11 [SPEAKER_02]: that can make it live for another 30 years.
09:11 --> 09:13 [SPEAKER_02]: So I guess it's coming everyone.
09:13 --> 09:15 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess it's coming for humans.
09:16 --> 09:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, well, that's level 23 and I'll live it for another 30 years because that would make them 50, which but that is still quite long.
09:23 --> 09:24 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, even long.
09:24 --> 09:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay, for cat.
09:25 --> 09:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Old cat.
09:27 --> 09:28 [SPEAKER_02]: May have gotten them up to 21 mm-hmm.
09:28 --> 09:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe 22 or can't quite remember a percentage hovering around 20 mm-hmm.
09:35 --> 09:46 [SPEAKER_02]: So another 10 years imagine hovering around for this 18 you're like Gonna be a hundred hundred ten more years of tax.
09:46 --> 09:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Why well, yes, yes Luckily our our podcast Charlie doesn't have to pay tax so this is mine
09:52 --> 09:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, he just pays in nudges and per- Exactly.
09:56 --> 09:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
09:57 --> 10:05 [SPEAKER_01]: On to the wonderful fellow Boys and Girls who sent into their their correct answers for the Pope's quiz.
10:05 --> 10:08 [SPEAKER_01]: We also asked her where they were from, just about an idea.
10:08 --> 10:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Really luckily most people are in the US or the UK and Ireland.
10:11 --> 10:13 [SPEAKER_01]: So pretty much everything I've chosen for our boys.
10:13 --> 10:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Goodies can go to either the UK or the US.
10:16 --> 10:17 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's good news.
10:17 --> 10:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, a good amount of entrance as well for the final season pub quiz and a good number of those that got all the questions, right?
10:27 --> 10:31 [SPEAKER_01]: So we have 16 going into our e-tombola.
10:32 --> 10:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we do.
10:33 --> 10:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we do.
10:34 --> 10:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Gusti Brand, Dr. Bob Phillips, Jamie Lawton, Coffee and Vodka, Pete Demolatius.
10:38 --> 10:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we've got Heather Sass, Conan Dorgan, Christina, Cunningham, Denise Lardi, Kenlog, Mindy Megan.
10:46 --> 10:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Rick Edgar, and we've got Theresa Law, Will Walton, Keith, and Brandy Mueller all joining us.
10:53 --> 10:57 [SPEAKER_01]: One thing I definitely noticed in there is a lot of people listening to us in Ireland, and that a young.
10:57 --> 10:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
10:58 --> 10:58 [SPEAKER_01]: It's great.
10:58 --> 11:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Over the years we've had a very low audience in our own home country because this shows we cover a tend to be coming from the U.S.
11:05 --> 11:07 [SPEAKER_01]: But it's great to see that we've got lots of listeners in Ireland for the boys.
11:08 --> 11:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, really good.
11:10 --> 11:14 [SPEAKER_02]: And also, I am still thinking about potential meat up as well.
11:15 --> 11:25 [SPEAKER_02]: It might now be next year, of course, because I think in the end, we want to try and connect it into maybe a Dublin Comic-Con or even just, I guess,
11:26 --> 11:31 [SPEAKER_02]: a time where there may be other stuff on like we met one of our fellow Gothamites from ages ago.
11:32 --> 11:40 [SPEAKER_02]: We've been to a few conventions where we met them at the weekend because they were over for the cure and so that was brilliant there at the cure gig along with us.
11:41 --> 11:45 [SPEAKER_01]: and met three members of the, of the walking dead fandom, Zed Heds.
11:46 --> 11:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, we're over for the Florence and the Sheen concert in Dublin.
11:49 --> 11:51 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's it, by guest concerts, they're a good way to do it as well.
11:51 --> 11:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
11:52 --> 11:56 [SPEAKER_01]: We've kind of run out of concerts because of this year, because we went to forward over a week.
11:56 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_01]: So, so we're kind of doing concerts, but maybe a, a comic-on either later this year or earlier next year, but we have to start really planning it, and then we will let you know with lots and lots of time to hopefully get yourself to do it.
12:10 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
12:10 --> 12:13 [SPEAKER_02]: but it is my fault, so apologies for those questions.
12:13 --> 12:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Fellow defenders, fellow boys and girls, and fellow industrialists, and we will get there.
12:19 --> 12:20 [SPEAKER_01]: It's all right, we'll get there, we'll get there.
12:21 --> 12:27 [SPEAKER_01]: As John mentioned, we've got 16 of our wonderful, fellow boys and girls in with a chance of getting their hands on some boys' goodies.
12:27 --> 12:30 [SPEAKER_01]: So hey Google, give us a number of between zero and 16.
12:34 --> 12:36 [SPEAKER_00]: Here's a rounded number, 11.
12:40 --> 12:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Fantastic number.
12:41 --> 12:41 [SPEAKER_01]: 11.
12:41 --> 12:44 [SPEAKER_01]: That is Mindy Megan in the US.
12:44 --> 12:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent stuff.
12:45 --> 12:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Congratulations, Mindy.
12:48 --> 12:57 [SPEAKER_02]: For being pulled from our e-tombola, you are the lucky number that has been picked and we'll be sending you some goodies.
12:57 --> 13:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Well done, Mindy, and congratulations fellow quizzes for all your answers being sent in and forgetting this far.
13:04 --> 13:06 [SPEAKER_02]: It really is great seeing such a
13:08 --> 13:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Who is he a season?
13:09 --> 13:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, I hope you're a lot of on joining us for the Grizzanau.
13:12 --> 13:16 [SPEAKER_01]: There was somebody fun and interesting answers for that final season of the boys.
13:16 --> 13:18 [SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe it, I'll over turn, I can't believe it.
13:18 --> 13:33 [SPEAKER_01]: And of the boys season five, I know one of the complaints that lots of people had or one of the discussion points I'd say that lots of people had was one of the issues with season five of the boys was there was lots of set-up of art rising, lots of connections to the upcoming series of art rising.
13:34 --> 13:42 [SPEAKER_01]: While we did have those setups, I think by the end of the series, pretty much every character it has an ending or something happened to take care of their storylines.
13:43 --> 13:49 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's just great that everybody was able to at least join us for our final season with the show.
13:49 --> 13:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
13:50 --> 14:05 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess that's the thing isn't it in a sense of saying, look, it is over, but the story continues through Vort Rising, which is in essence a mega flashback series to the early days of Vort.
14:05 --> 14:11 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's been so ever present in this season, what series I should say anyway.
14:11 --> 14:13 [SPEAKER_02]: And it was present in Gen V. Wow.
14:13 --> 14:14 [SPEAKER_02]: So.
14:15 --> 14:34 [SPEAKER_02]: I think hopefully they sort of marry it all together like they've done with the boys and Gen V. I think as well it's, I think sometimes however awful it might be or might feel like I'm going to really miss the boys and Gen V as well.
14:35 --> 14:38 [SPEAKER_02]: But sometimes it's good to just finish and have that
14:40 --> 14:43 [SPEAKER_02]: contained and series.
14:43 --> 14:48 [SPEAKER_02]: But as I think it will continue through into thought rising.
14:48 --> 14:49 [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm looking forward to it.
14:49 --> 14:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the important bit is you can definitely watch all five seasons of the boys ignoring everything else and get a great story there with the five seasons of the boys for the character that they're there.
14:57 --> 14:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously we took the
14:59 --> 15:18 [SPEAKER_01]: the directions off to the sides covering gen V and covering even the the animated series that the diabolical and we will be back for about rising and interestingly this show since they didn't kill off soldier boy now there's much more of an expectation for me that we return to soldier boy in the current time period or maybe even later after the boys are finished.
15:18 --> 15:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so you never know we may get some of the characters from the boys crossing over into this show coming back at the latest stage in the future but
15:26 --> 15:30 [SPEAKER_01]: It is a really good overall overarching story for the five seasons of this show.
15:30 --> 15:34 [SPEAKER_01]: It is a real shame now that gender isn't going to be canceled.
15:34 --> 15:44 [SPEAKER_01]: It's come out afterwards that Eric Krippki had very definite plans for what was going to happen in season three of Gen V, which is why he didn't treat the characters as big crossover characters into the boys.
15:45 --> 15:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, so we may not see their story in the way that he originally intended, but now there's actually an opportunity for them to do something involved rising
15:55 --> 15:56 [SPEAKER_01]: So would you boys still around right?
15:56 --> 15:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
15:58 --> 16:00 [SPEAKER_02]: And what in your cooperation?
16:00 --> 16:03 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, cooperation force is still there.
16:03 --> 16:04 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll never die apparently.
16:04 --> 16:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Indeed.
16:05 --> 16:08 [SPEAKER_02]: And shall we get into our feedback section though for this?
16:08 --> 16:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we've got a lot at the final couple of pieces of feedback from our wonderful fellow boys and girls.
16:12 --> 16:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Indeed.
16:13 --> 16:18 [SPEAKER_02]: First up on email is coffee and vodka who says greetings fellow
16:20 --> 16:26 [SPEAKER_02]: do the best I can with the threat of the cat on my desk, poor hovering just above the keyboard.
16:26 --> 16:30 [SPEAKER_02]: The long and short of this season is that the parts were greater than the whole.
16:31 --> 16:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Each episode held to typical boys standards, well-constructed pathos, bloody interaction, humour, and very occasional tenderness.
16:40 --> 16:43 [SPEAKER_02]: The season pretty much raised the need to have ever watched a single episode of
16:44 --> 16:48 [SPEAKER_02]: and was as much a vote rising critical as it was a boy's send on.
16:49 --> 16:53 [SPEAKER_02]: In and of themselves, justification for any online vitriol.
16:56 --> 17:01 [SPEAKER_02]: I have hopes, however, the off-coming spin-offs will mitigate if not completely repair the damage.
17:01 --> 17:10 [SPEAKER_02]: In the meantime, taking in the show through the spirit of it, rather than the rare contents lip-ups, the entire run was an unmitigated and highly recommendable success.
17:11 --> 17:16 [SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of, should any more want more, Anthony star in their life?
17:16 --> 17:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Hit up what I believe to be,
17:18 --> 17:20 [SPEAKER_02]: his even better series Banshee.
17:21 --> 17:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for your coverage and possibly see you for Spiderman War.
17:25 --> 17:34 [SPEAKER_02]: For the complete 5 season run, I give 4.5 Wii Huey Bloodbath's Daily Departed Terrors and new beginnings out of 5.
17:35 --> 17:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Peace and take care, Coffee and vodka.
17:37 --> 17:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks so much Coffee and vodka.
17:40 --> 17:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would absolutely
17:43 --> 17:57 [SPEAKER_02]: be with you there with the four and a half out of five and you know I thought there's a really good ending I think we got the rise of craziness at a corporate level at a ego level at a
17:58 --> 18:20 [SPEAKER_02]: political level, and what that means, but wrapped up with humor, tenderness, violence, bloodshed, more humor, some pleading, smociness, swearing, you name it, all really good, very irreverent, and I think absolutely needed.
18:20 --> 18:24 [SPEAKER_02]: In these times, I think equally for me, if I were, I would
18:26 --> 18:27 [SPEAKER_02]: one of the cast.
18:27 --> 18:30 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think the ensemble is just brilliant.
18:31 --> 18:32 [SPEAKER_02]: That's the great thing around here.
18:32 --> 18:42 [SPEAKER_02]: But even with that brilliance in the ensemble, for me, I have to go with Anthony Star as homeowner because of how he made me feel in those awkward moments.
18:42 --> 18:50 [SPEAKER_02]: There was no other character that probably since Hannibal, the cannibal has made me doubt what Mame or Mame
18:54 --> 19:00 [SPEAKER_02]: kill him, let them go, do nothing, and that tension that he brought to that role.
19:01 --> 19:06 [SPEAKER_02]: And how it was captured by cast crew, just phenomenal.
19:07 --> 19:17 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think I actually do mean, I think I was being a little bit flippant saying no of the character since Anthony Hopkins, Hannibal, the Hannibal, but equally with Hannibal.
19:18 --> 19:27 [SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, that was the same kind of tension for me that made the sense of the land just such great peace for me.
19:27 --> 19:30 [SPEAKER_01]: I just don't even had to mass-makers and the television shows.
19:30 --> 19:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that was well.
19:31 --> 19:32 [SPEAKER_01]: I have a quite a few times.
19:32 --> 19:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
19:33 --> 19:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, a way to make it a detective Graham don't sit down as dinner table on your own.
19:37 --> 19:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
19:38 --> 19:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
19:39 --> 19:40 [SPEAKER_02]: But I think as...
19:41 --> 19:55 [SPEAKER_02]: very early on, and I was much younger watching at science for the last, and even just behind Plexiglas with no superhero powers, it was like what can he do to starling behind that?
19:56 --> 19:59 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, and I mean, a physical violence, yeah.
19:59 --> 20:10 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's, I don't see Star brought this borderline psycho absolute element of, and just, the unpredictability of it.
20:10 --> 20:11 [SPEAKER_02]: That's the main thing.
20:11 --> 20:21 [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I have to give a bunch of, you know, the show, a couple of other recommended that they're, I've seen a few episodes of it, but never really stuck my neck right the way into it.
20:21 --> 20:22 [SPEAKER_01]: And then I'd be quite the way into it.
20:22 --> 20:23 [SPEAKER_01]: I have to give it a go.
20:23 --> 20:24 [SPEAKER_01]: I have seen a few episodes.
20:25 --> 20:27 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know as a good show definitely so very interesting here.
20:27 --> 20:30 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a you believe it's an even better show than the boys.
20:30 --> 20:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, interesting.
20:32 --> 20:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good stuff.
20:33 --> 20:34 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, goodbye to the boys.
20:34 --> 20:37 [SPEAKER_02]: We'll always do with a little bit of Anthony's star in my life.
20:38 --> 21:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, yes, similar to what two I thought about the boys season five as the final season of the show, pretty much stood up against the rest of the series, it is a really good series, but yeah, a little bit of the touches to gen V and touches off to the future of art rising, may have felt like you were focusing on the characters, but they go overall when you look back to the series, there was a huge amount of focus on the boys and all those little individual complaints
21:06 --> 21:08 [SPEAKER_01]: of how I was I can get back to the boys by the end of the series.
21:09 --> 21:13 [SPEAKER_01]: They were pretty much gone, they were focusing back in with our main cast.
21:13 --> 21:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, happy enough.
21:15 --> 21:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Great stuff.
21:15 --> 21:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks, coffee vodka.
21:16 --> 21:19 [SPEAKER_01]: And thanks, joining us for our spot in the War coverage as well.
21:19 --> 21:21 [SPEAKER_01]: I know you really enjoyed that show too.
21:21 --> 21:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Even though you're
21:22 --> 21:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Blue through it much faster than we did absolutely.
21:24 --> 21:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much.
21:26 --> 21:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Coffee and vodka.
21:27 --> 21:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
21:28 --> 21:33 [SPEAKER_01]: We do have some feedback in as well from Keith in Ireland who says, Hey, all again, thank you for all your work.
21:33 --> 21:35 [SPEAKER_01]: I always enjoy listening along with you guys.
21:35 --> 21:38 [SPEAKER_01]: With the voices in five, I ended up feeling a little mixed.
21:38 --> 21:40 [SPEAKER_01]: There was some positive aspects, and negative.
21:41 --> 21:47 [SPEAKER_01]: The show has been brilliant funny moments, especially with Anthony Star, along with a good finale that gives great closure closing loops with all the characters.
21:48 --> 21:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Negative include though the continuous height building of different aspects for it to come to nothing.
21:52 --> 22:02 [SPEAKER_01]: The V1, the virus, the pairs of soldier boy, I also thought that it felt a bit rushed, especially considering Annie's story at where she went to visit her dad, took a lot of the character of Annie.
22:02 --> 22:07 [SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was very confusing and annoying her motivations were never really clear and she would change from moment to moment.
22:08 --> 22:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Such a pity that the Gen V cast were completely sidelines, along with a rushed solution to be homelander.
22:13 --> 22:19 [SPEAKER_01]: who seem to have been beaten very easily without him ever really going full psychopath this season.
22:19 --> 22:23 [SPEAKER_01]: For me, three and a half portaires, all the best from Keith.
22:23 --> 22:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent stuff.
22:24 --> 22:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, Keith.
22:25 --> 22:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks.
22:25 --> 22:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely pull terrors.
22:27 --> 22:29 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a couple of little terrors.
22:29 --> 22:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not it silently away there.
22:32 --> 22:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was just, of course, gave the final motivation with her Billy Bush's push-off the edge to take out all soups.
22:38 --> 22:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's an interesting complaint.
22:40 --> 22:47 [SPEAKER_01]: I've heard this one quite a few times, actually, over the last couple of weeks as well, that people were expecting to have home land or go full psychopath.
22:47 --> 22:48 [SPEAKER_01]: That's some point during the season.
22:48 --> 22:49 [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's kind of the challenge with,
22:50 --> 22:51 [SPEAKER_01]: a character like homelander.
22:51 --> 22:58 [SPEAKER_01]: He is so hyper-powered by the time we get to season five, where he effectively is a nuclear bomb ready to go off.
22:58 --> 23:01 [SPEAKER_01]: That if he does go off, then well you've killed everybody.
23:01 --> 23:07 [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, the whole point of the boy is that it will eventually come to a point where the heroes save the world.
23:07 --> 23:11 [SPEAKER_01]: And in this case they stop homelander take away as powers and he should be
23:12 --> 23:31 [SPEAKER_01]: crying on the floor like the week used this person he is underneath or behind the enforced superparers that he's given you know that's kind of I think it was a great ending for the character and like and the ending that I think he deserved and he's a sniveling little guess he should be on the floor pleading for his life that's kind of where you want them to be.
23:32 --> 23:37 [SPEAKER_01]: if you're not crying in jails somewhere, then this I think is the end in the eye water to see for home lander.
23:37 --> 23:52 [SPEAKER_01]: But I know lots of people seem to expect the final episode would be this massive superhero battle over the course of over the skies of America that all the soups would come on the side of the boys or something and take on home lander and have this huge battle.
23:52 --> 23:58 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that was ever on the car, it's for a prime video, and then they're ever intending to do this massive CGI Superb Apple.
23:58 --> 24:01 [SPEAKER_01]: And I think, Kalimender had kind of gone pretty psychopath in the past.
24:01 --> 24:08 [SPEAKER_01]: He in front of people on camera, he'd used his laser eyes and cut protesters in half.
24:09 --> 24:11 [SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty psycho, you know?
24:11 --> 24:15 [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, I never expected to go too full psychopath by the other season.
24:15 --> 24:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I just kind of thought he was psycho.
24:18 --> 24:19 [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's much in his quiet moments.
24:23 --> 24:46 [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, Kosis is one that I think is brought out by the snuffling on the carpet in the over office, and that's what drives him to be this unpredictable, spoiled, Brad, just always wanting for things, and I think that's where the interaction between him and his son was really good, it's like you have all this power that you still aren't happy.
24:50 --> 24:55 [SPEAKER_02]: There's been plenty of bloodshed there, but I mean, I think we did see full psychopath.
24:56 --> 25:09 [SPEAKER_02]: But we saw him being more confusing, I think, and that was to do with, I think ultimately, that he wanted affection and he wasn't getting in particular from his dad and his son.
25:09 --> 25:16 [SPEAKER_02]: And they were the things that possibly really meant that's where he showed that, I guess.
25:17 --> 25:30 [SPEAKER_02]: quote weakness of letting them live or not finishing off the job and but equally because underneath it all are these huge insecurities and fed by having to breastfeed all the time.
25:30 --> 25:31 [SPEAKER_02]: And ultimately.
25:32 --> 25:37 [SPEAKER_01]: And what he wanted as you say, what he wanted as acceptance even wanted people with the love of him in that in that vision that he has.
25:38 --> 26:00 [SPEAKER_01]: of the angel telling him how his life's going to be in the vision it's saying they're saying well kill anybody that doesn't like you and then everybody that's left to be the ones that love you one day that's that's what happens just kill everybody that isn't that that won't love you so yeah he had he had gone over the edge again you know much like but the butcher as well so and on any story um
26:00 --> 26:05 [SPEAKER_01]: This has come out after as well, and I know you probably didn't know this case when you sent it in a lot of people didn't.
26:05 --> 26:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Aaron Murray actually who plays Annie was quite sick when filming the final season, who was diagnosed with a rare disease, which she shared with the production team, and she actually gave them, she says, an interview this week, she said she gave them full access to her medical records, so they could schedule her time on the show.
26:23 --> 26:27 [SPEAKER_01]: differently than they had before because actually knew it would impact the filming of the final season.
26:27 --> 26:37 [SPEAKER_01]: So, so I presume that actually played into some of the scenes that she filmed may have had to been on their own, and not with the rest of the cast while they picked up all the other storylines.
26:37 --> 26:42 [SPEAKER_01]: So I believe she did have to have some of the season rewritten around her, her illness that she was going through.
26:43 --> 26:46 [SPEAKER_01]: So luckily she's doing really well.
26:47 --> 26:54 [SPEAKER_01]: but at the time she just didn't want to impact the show hugely and they worked at work dead as scheduled so she'd be able to film something in the final season.
26:54 --> 26:55 [SPEAKER_01]: She's a major character in the show.
26:55 --> 26:56 [SPEAKER_01]: She couldn't do it.
26:56 --> 26:58 [SPEAKER_01]: She knew she wanted to be involved.
26:58 --> 27:00 [SPEAKER_01]: She couldn't didn't want to get written out of the start of the season.
27:00 --> 27:01 [SPEAKER_01]: She's too big a character for that.
27:01 --> 27:03 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's loud they're able to finish her arc.
27:04 --> 27:08 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, having an episode where she's with no other characters that are that appear in any other episode.
27:08 --> 27:14 [SPEAKER_01]: The season really, I would suspect that was probably to do to help her with her the medical condition.
27:15 --> 27:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because I mean, actually, I would agree with Keith here that the dad's story, you know, just because I know maybe it's nice to have the torch point within, but it's more her mom where we've seen it before, even having her mom, but yes.
27:30 --> 27:38 [SPEAKER_02]: So I would kind of agree with Keith there, but equally yes, if they're having to work in around an illness that probably explains it.
27:38 --> 27:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
27:39 --> 27:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
27:39 --> 27:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Excellent stuff.
27:40 --> 27:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks Keith.
27:40 --> 27:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
27:41 --> 27:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks Keith and thanks everybody for listening along with the support this season of the boys.
27:45 --> 27:47 [SPEAKER_01]: A quick one to say goodbye to the boys.
27:47 --> 27:49 [SPEAKER_01]: We are hope a deterrent in the Valtz.
27:49 --> 27:52 [SPEAKER_01]: So the Madagurist with Valt rising in 2027.
