What If 302 Podcast

Chris Derek and John are back together to discuss all about Marvel's What If? 302 What if Agatha Went to Hollywood? What a great fun episode with four of our favourite MCU characters.

What If 302 What if Agatha Went to Hollywood? Synopsis

Executive Produced by: Matthew Chauncey, Bryan Andrews and Brad Winderbaum with Kevin Fiege.

Story by: Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little and Bryan Andrews

Episode Directed By: Bryan Andrews

In the golden era of cinema, attention loving witch Agatha Harkness moves to Hollywoodland for her latest play. She wants the power of Tiamut, the Celestial being buried in the core of the Earth, but she needs Hollywood’s production values. While starring in a picture directed by Howard Stark, Agatha plans to use a magic ritual to access Tiamut and take its power for herself.

But even with the stolen power of many of the Eternals, Agatha’s ritual fails. She has one last chance, as she invites Bollywood’s hottest star, Kingo, to co-star with her in the picture. Agatha knows he’s the final Eternal and will use the opportunity to steal his power and complete her ritual.

After a Hollywood vs Bollywood movie showdown, Kingo reveals he knows what Agatha wants but is convinced to help her when Agatha says she’s doing it to save the world.

They convince Howard and his put-upon assistant Edwin Jarvis to restage the finale of the picture at the Griffith Observatory. Agatha succeeds in taking the power of Tiamut, but her actions draw the attention of the Prime Celestial, Arishem. He comes to earth from across the galaxy to confront Agatha but with her enormous power the now celestial Witch absorbs his power and kills him too.

Agatha reveals her true intention was to take all of the power for herself. But Kingo convinces her that the true way to change the world is to make movies and gain the adoration she seeks from her adoring public. Agatha relents and attends the premiere of their completed picture “Cosmic Queen”.

But as the Watcher closes out his tale three more Celestials are on their approach to locate Agatha Harkness. Who doesn’t like cliff-hangers?

[00:00:00] This is the Defenders Podcast on TV Podcast Industries and we're talking about What If, Season 3, Episode 2, What If Agatha Went to Hollywood.

[00:00:10] Wow, that chemistry was hotter than the Hindenburg. I really believed you two wanted to kill each other.

[00:00:15] Oh, no, no, we're just acting. Totally just acting. Both of us just acting so hard right now.

[00:00:23] Oh, really? I'd say one of us is acting really bad right now.

[00:00:26] This calls for a celebration. After party, my place. Jarvis, give him the tea.

[00:00:31] Fine. Top of the hill, everybody. Just above the Hollywood land sign. It's the house that will make you question the decency of capitalism.

[00:01:02] Welcome back, witches and fellow Defenders, of course.

[00:01:06] This is the Defenders Podcast. This is TV Podcast Industries.

[00:01:11] And this is us talking about What If, Season 3, Episode 2, What If Agatha Went to Hollywood.

[00:01:20] By us, of course, I mean I am one of your hosts, John.

[00:01:23] Welcome back, witches. I'm one of your hosts, Derek.

[00:01:26] And rounding out this Kingo-loving crew, I am Chris.

[00:01:29] I didn't think we'd get to say welcome back, witches, this quickly after Agatha along.

[00:01:33] No, I didn't. I thought I would.

[00:01:35] Of course. No, it's great. It's just really good that it's only a couple of months since Agatha along.

[00:01:39] And also cool to welcome back, Chris, to join our group of snotty podcasters who's suffering with colds at the moment, of course.

[00:01:48] Tis the season for viral chest effects.

[00:01:51] There's something green bubbling out of the cauldron this evening.

[00:01:55] Oh, God. I didn't think you were going to use that joke again tonight, John, for the second episode of What If.

[00:02:01] It was a different form of the joke.

[00:02:02] It was a different form of the joke.

[00:02:04] It involved a cauldron.

[00:02:05] It did. To indicate the witches, of course, for the episode.

[00:02:08] But I do wonder if Mariah Carey did a song of it is the season to get a flu and a cold.

[00:02:13] Would you have another Christmas number one?

[00:02:16] I could do that.

[00:02:17] I can be the weird Al Yankovic of Mariah Carey season.

[00:02:21] There you go.

[00:02:22] No one would listen to it and it would destroy some eardrums, but I could do it.

[00:02:26] True. True.

[00:02:27] True. Excellent stuff.

[00:02:30] But look, fellow defenders, before we get into our discussion about this second episode,

[00:02:36] let me just start out with a special shout out to Connie in Florida, who was our Agatha All Along Coven Cauldron quiz winner.

[00:02:45] Yes, she was.

[00:02:45] And has luckily received all of her goodies just in time for the holidays.

[00:02:51] So no port disasters, no delays at the airport for the goodies from the Agatha All Along Cauldron quiz.

[00:03:04] Yes.

[00:03:04] Well done, Connie.

[00:03:06] Glad they got to you safely and in time before the madness.

[00:03:10] Absolutely.

[00:03:11] I was worried that things were going to start being affected by delivery times in the US as they were.

[00:03:17] Like I must admit, there were a couple of things that arrived a little later than I was expecting,

[00:03:20] but everything's there.

[00:03:21] Delighted for you, Connie.

[00:03:23] And congratulations once again for participating in the Cauldron quiz and being the overall winner too.

[00:03:28] Yeah, good stuff.

[00:03:30] Unfortunately, no pub quiz for what if.

[00:03:34] Not for what if, because it's out daily is the reason.

[00:03:36] Exactly.

[00:03:36] If we're doing it weekly, it's much easier to put out a quiz question each week and then gather all the answers together by the end of the season.

[00:03:44] But doing a daily quiz is much more difficult, to be honest.

[00:03:48] Yeah.

[00:03:48] Also, like what is a quiz?

[00:03:51] Like what if is a quiz?

[00:03:53] Move forward, move forward.

[00:03:54] The joke didn't work.

[00:03:55] Joke didn't work.

[00:03:55] No, no.

[00:03:56] Exactly.

[00:03:56] What if that was funny?

[00:03:57] What is this philosophical question of the age?

[00:04:02] What is a quiz?

[00:04:04] But what is a podcast?

[00:04:05] I hear you cry.

[00:04:06] There you go.

[00:04:07] Hello, Defenders.

[00:04:08] Before we do answer that, please head on over to tvpodcastindustries.com where you can subscribe to any good or evil podcast catcher of your choice.

[00:04:24] Or dare I say it, any mysterious podcast player in the multiverse as we are in the time of what if.

[00:04:32] That's right.

[00:04:32] Also, we love to hear your feedback for these shows.

[00:04:36] So please send in your emails through to feedback at tvpodcastindustries.com or over on our Facebook group.

[00:04:44] We have spoiler posts over at facebook.com forward slash groups forward slash TV podcast industry.

[00:04:53] Yes.

[00:04:54] And just a reminder, as we mentioned yesterday, we're not going to be recording every day, even though the episodes of what if are coming out every day.

[00:04:59] We are taking a little bit of a break after this episode, but there will be still spoiler posts going up on the Facebook group where you can leave your thoughts and we'll get back to them once we come back from our trip away.

[00:05:08] I think we're going to record the next episode on the 27th.

[00:05:11] That's probably three episodes.

[00:05:12] Why was happening in the next few days?

[00:05:14] The holidays, Christmas, John.

[00:05:16] The 27th?

[00:05:18] Maybe the 26th.

[00:05:21] The 26th?

[00:05:22] Or maybe I'll bring the laptop with us and record on Christmas Day, John.

[00:05:25] My voice.

[00:05:26] Well, okay, let's get into this radio broadcast.

[00:05:32] Love you.

[00:05:33] Love you.

[00:05:33] So, Derek, what are some of the episode details for what if season three, episode two?

[00:05:43] What if Agatha went to Hollywood?

[00:05:46] Well, executive producers for the series are Matthew Chauncey, Brian Andrews and Brian Winderbaum with Kevin Feige.

[00:05:51] Of course, head writer for this series again is Matthew Chauncey.

[00:05:54] The story for this episode was written by Brian Andrews, Matthew Chauncey and Ryan Little.

[00:05:57] Ryan Little wrote episode one as well.

[00:05:59] We talked about him on yesterday's episode.

[00:06:01] And the episode itself was written by Matthew Chauncey and Ryan Little and directed by Brian Andrews, as I mentioned, all executive producers for the show and all involved in directing and writing for this episode.

[00:06:11] Wow.

[00:06:12] The Chauncey is over this like a rash.

[00:06:15] He is all over the place.

[00:06:16] Absolutely.

[00:06:16] As the lead writer.

[00:06:18] I would say, and we'll probably get into it as we get into the episode, I would say this episode will be the one that will come back later on in the series.

[00:06:26] There is a cliffhanger at the end and there is another episode coming up later on in the series.

[00:06:30] So I'm sure that's why Matthew Chauncey wanted to be involved in the writing of this one.

[00:06:34] Excellent stuff.

[00:06:35] Yes.

[00:06:35] But John, do you want to tell us what they gave us with your synopsis for what if season three, episode two?

[00:06:40] Sure.

[00:06:41] In the golden era of cinema, attention loving witch, Agatha Harkness moves to Hollywoodland for her latest play.

[00:06:49] She wants the power of Tiamut, the celestial being buried in the core of the earth, but she needs Hollywood's production values.

[00:06:57] While starring in a picture directed by Howard Stark, Agatha plans to use a magic ritual to access Tiamut and take its power for herself.

[00:07:06] But even with the stolen power of many of the Eternals, Agatha's ritual fails.

[00:07:11] She has one last chance as she invites Bollywood's hottest star, Kingo, to co-star with her in the picture.

[00:07:18] Agatha knows he's the final Eternal and will use the opportunity to steal his power and complete her ritual.

[00:07:26] After a Hollywood vs. Bollywood movie showdown, Kingo reveals he knows what Agatha wants,

[00:07:31] but is convinced to help her when Agatha says she's doing it to save the world.

[00:07:36] They convince Howard and his put-upon assistant, Edwin Jarvis, to restage the finale of the picture at the Griffith Observatory.

[00:07:45] Agatha succeeds in taking the power of Tiamut, but her actions draw the attention of the prime celestial, Erisham.

[00:07:53] He comes to Earth from across the galaxy to confront Agatha,

[00:07:57] but with her enormous power, the now celestial witch absorbs his power and kills him too.

[00:08:04] Agatha reveals her true intention was to take all of the power for herself,

[00:08:09] but Kingo convinces her that the true way to change the world is to make movies

[00:08:14] and gain the adoration she seeks from her adoring public.

[00:08:18] Agatha relents and attends the premiere of their completed picture, Cosmic Queen.

[00:08:24] But as the Watcher closes out his tale, three more celestials are on their approach to locate Agatha Harkness.

[00:08:32] Who doesn't like a cliffhanger?

[00:08:34] Nobody. I love cliffhangers.

[00:08:37] Yeah, me too.

[00:08:39] I like cliffhangers that you know are going to pay off in a sequel film or the next series.

[00:08:45] I dislike the current proclivity towards doing cliffhangers and then them getting cancelled.

[00:08:52] Oh, like the two at the end of the Eternals movie, which I just rewatched today after this episode.

[00:08:59] The one that introduced Harry Styles into the MCU and he has not appeared yet.

[00:09:05] And the one that introduced Blade and the Black Knight into the MCU and they haven't appeared since then.

[00:09:11] There can be only one Blade.

[00:09:14] Yeah, there can.

[00:09:15] He will be back.

[00:09:17] He will be there.

[00:09:18] And then there will be two.

[00:09:19] Yes.

[00:09:20] Yeah.

[00:09:20] Yeah, indeed.

[00:09:21] A lot of sort of cliffhangers here.

[00:09:24] But let us get into this second episode of season three with our three points.

[00:09:31] Kicking off, what if we had seen this before?

[00:09:34] What is that cinematic universe movie that we have seen before?

[00:09:39] Cool.

[00:09:40] Yeah, yeah.

[00:09:41] Lots of references to other MCU properties in here.

[00:09:44] First one, obviously, we should say, of course, is Agatha LaLong and WandaVision, which introduced Agatha Harkness.

[00:09:50] But we talked about it during our coverage of Agatha LaLong that that show was pushed back by over a year.

[00:09:55] So I guess they were able to take bits of the script for that show and incorporate it here into the character in What If.

[00:10:01] In Agatha LaLong, she's taking power from witches throughout the country here.

[00:10:06] She's still on that quest for power.

[00:10:08] So that's a reference, I guess, that they were able to pull from Agatha LaLong and the character of Agatha Harkness in there.

[00:10:14] Yeah, definitely.

[00:10:15] Definitely.

[00:10:17] Chris, any others?

[00:10:19] Well, obviously, the big one is the Eternals.

[00:10:21] Of course.

[00:10:21] The whole aspect of Kingo himself being in it, we do see that then she has kind of met at least all the other Eternals.

[00:10:32] Yes, yes.

[00:10:33] And then we see the Celestials.

[00:10:34] So they were all introduced in the Eternals film.

[00:10:38] They've been around in the comic books since the 70s, Jack Kirby, and then were famously reintroduced by Neil Gaiman.

[00:10:45] And then was reintroduced again and brought back again when the film happened.

[00:10:52] And it got a resurgence.

[00:10:54] Yes.

[00:10:55] Yeah.

[00:10:55] That's the other major piece.

[00:10:59] Kumail Ngunjani being huge and just like, God, that was amazing what being a comedic powerhouse and then getting Marvel Labs does for a career.

[00:11:13] Absolutely.

[00:11:14] Absolutely.

[00:11:14] Yeah.

[00:11:15] I was really pleased to see the Eternals back, even combined with the drone power of Agatha.

[00:11:23] That was really good because, yeah, in kind of partially watching the movie again, it was just like, you know, I really liked the movie.

[00:11:33] I also liked the potential it had for setting up like the Black Knight and Blade and so on.

[00:11:42] I thought it was really, really good.

[00:11:44] But even just like, you know, the talking point of the frozen celestial sort of partly emerged from the ocean.

[00:11:57] Mm-hmm.

[00:12:21] It wouldn't have held back on the Eternals for as long as it has.

[00:12:24] Yeah.

[00:12:24] We definitely would have seen those characters in other movies and other projects.

[00:12:27] We know for a fact that frozen celestial Tiamat, which is coming out of the ocean, will be seen in Captain America Brave New World just in a couple of months' time.

[00:12:34] You know, so they will be reintegrated as the series continues.

[00:12:38] But because things were on the back burner for so long, it does feel like a lot longer.

[00:12:42] It really does.

[00:12:43] It does.

[00:12:43] But what a great character to bring back in.

[00:12:45] If you're going to bring him back in one, you bring back in Kingo.

[00:12:48] Definitely.

[00:12:48] You bring back in Camille Ninjani.

[00:12:50] He's so good.

[00:12:51] And putting these two actors together, what a great match of forces that you've got.

[00:12:56] They really go totes now together, I think, Captain Han and Camille Ninjani.

[00:13:01] Oh, they go really well together.

[00:13:02] Yeah.

[00:13:03] Oh, yeah.

[00:13:03] But I think for any of our long-time listeners, and I mean long-time, there's one that I think you should call out because this is one that you guys did for a majority.

[00:13:16] I joined for one or two episodes max.

[00:13:18] Yep.

[00:13:19] But this was a Derek and John special.

[00:13:22] Yeah.

[00:13:23] Well, there was definitely Agent Carter as well because that featured the Griffith Observatory there in L.A.

[00:13:29] It was episodes one and two of season two, and it had both Howard Stark and Jarvis there as well as Peggy Carter.

[00:13:41] So there were two major characters in that show.

[00:13:44] Yeah.

[00:13:45] That site is really linked to the Agent Carter series as well, which was really good.

[00:13:54] And, of course, Charlie's Angels as well, the reboot.

[00:13:58] Yeah.

[00:14:02] So I will say, just after we watched the show, Derek was like, what other shows have Griffith Observatory been in?

[00:14:10] And I was like, Charlie's Angels?

[00:14:14] No, I instantly said one of the big moments in Agent Carter was in Griffith Observatory.

[00:14:21] Is there anything else?

[00:14:22] And John was going Men in Black and all these other terrible ones.

[00:14:26] But I do know Runaways also had a big moment set in Griffith Observatory in the second season as well.

[00:14:30] So Marvel has definitely used that location quite a few times.

[00:14:33] I think just the connection with Howard Stark and Edward Jarvis, who were central to Peggy Carter's adventures and Agent Carter, two other major characters in that show.

[00:14:43] So I think just that connection and it going to Griffith Observatory was a nice callback to one of our favorite Marvel shows.

[00:14:49] Available now on Disney Plus if you haven't watched it.

[00:14:51] And also every podcast available on TV Podcast Industries.

[00:14:54] Excellent stuff.

[00:14:55] Let us get on.

[00:14:56] We're going to Agent Carter, not Runaways, by the way.

[00:14:58] That's true.

[00:14:59] That's true.

[00:14:59] Runaways was pulled from Disney Plus, wasn't it?

[00:15:01] Yeah.

[00:15:01] We never got around to Runaways.

[00:15:02] Yeah, but Runaways was pulled from Disney Plus.

[00:15:04] It was there for a while and gone now.

[00:15:06] Yeah, so sad.

[00:15:07] So, rumor has it, because they're going to redo it, but that makes no sense.

[00:15:12] But just to let you know that is an interesting rumor.

[00:15:15] That they're going to redo Runaways.

[00:15:17] Yeah, even though it's in the same universe and Nico's in it because Nico's one of the young Avengers in some of the things.

[00:15:24] Oh, okay.

[00:15:25] But they probably, yeah.

[00:15:26] Yeah.

[00:15:27] I don't believe that because the show was actually well worth a watch.

[00:15:30] It was good.

[00:15:31] It couldn't have been done much better, I think.

[00:15:33] Yeah, I can't imagine they're going to redo Runaways.

[00:15:35] I'd say they will definitely introduce some of the characters again.

[00:15:37] I hope they do.

[00:15:39] But I think that it's such a great job in the original version that they made for ABC, which was available on Disney Plus for a while and is no longer available.

[00:15:45] I think they're hopefully going to just bring that back at some point in the future.

[00:15:49] Yeah, well, let's bring this back to our second point for this episode.

[00:15:54] What if there was a small change?

[00:15:57] What is that premise of change in this episode?

[00:16:03] The big one is Agatha learns about the Eternals.

[00:16:08] She learns about the Celestials and the power.

[00:16:11] And then more importantly, she also learns about the sleeping Celestial, Teemus, being the center core or an egg, if you will.

[00:16:19] And then uses much like her.

[00:16:23] We want to say she's almost like her power is succubus.

[00:16:26] We've learned that from Agatha all along that she basically when attacked by a power, she's able to absorb that power and make it hers.

[00:16:33] So she essentially does that, we assume, to the rest of the Eternals and steals their power.

[00:16:40] Now, she says they're locked away safely.

[00:16:43] We're never going to really learn whether that's true or not, because if you remember Agatha all along, a lot of those other victims are victims.

[00:16:55] She killed them.

[00:16:55] Yeah.

[00:16:56] She killed them all and sucked them dry.

[00:16:58] So, no, Eternals are robots.

[00:17:01] So maybe they're just hibernating.

[00:17:03] Who knows?

[00:17:03] We will see.

[00:17:04] Well, I will say on a second watch, because I had exactly the same question, Chris.

[00:17:07] I wrote it down in my notes going, did Agatha kill all of the Eternals?

[00:17:11] I will say on a second watch, when they're talking at the end of the episode, Kingo does say to her the rest of the Eternals had had a discussion with him.

[00:17:20] So she did free them at the end.

[00:17:22] They are alive.

[00:17:23] She didn't murder all of the Eternals or take out their batteries, I guess.

[00:17:28] So they are all still alive.

[00:17:30] She just took all of their powers at that point.

[00:17:33] Oh, my God.

[00:17:34] Do you think we could get a batteries not included Eternals crossover?

[00:17:37] Maybe.

[00:17:37] Maybe.

[00:17:38] But then this is the premise is she then uses her newfound gifts to try and amp up one of her spells

[00:17:48] to essentially absorb the power of Tiamat.

[00:17:54] What we find is that she needs the final power buff of the final Eternal to give her that spell, the oomph, the je ne sais quoi.

[00:18:07] Yeah.

[00:18:07] That special sauce, as they say in Hollywoodland.

[00:18:11] And, yeah, she then brings in Howard Stark and the rest of them to do the films, to do the ritual.

[00:18:21] And Bish Bosh Bosh Kingo is there.

[00:18:24] Yeah.

[00:18:25] It's interesting, isn't it, that she goes from stealing magical power from witches to...

[00:18:32] And so, like, watching the film, you hear that they're imbued with celestial energy.

[00:18:38] Mm-hmm.

[00:18:38] Now, whether that's the same, don't know.

[00:18:40] But, you know, I'm assuming it's slightly different.

[00:18:42] So that she is then absorbing this celestial energy.

[00:18:45] Because ultimately, she does become a celestial at the end.

[00:18:49] You know, she's sort of as big as one.

[00:18:51] Exactly.

[00:18:51] No, no.

[00:18:52] She can go from the last field, yeah.

[00:18:53] And can survive in space.

[00:18:55] Yeah.

[00:18:55] So I just thought that was really interesting as a change as well.

[00:18:59] Yeah.

[00:19:00] And I think that's connected to the Eternals movie itself.

[00:19:03] In the Eternals, we had the other faction.

[00:19:06] We had the deviants who were stealing the powers of the Eternals when they killed them.

[00:19:10] They take their powers and they take on the powers as they were.

[00:19:13] And Agatha Long, when we saw Agatha steal the powers, she actually was just amping up her own power.

[00:19:18] She didn't get the abilities of the witch that she stole from.

[00:19:20] She gave herself a supercharge of her own powers rather than stealing somebody else's powers, for the most powers that we saw anyway.

[00:19:26] Here, she's stealing the powers.

[00:19:27] And we see in the fight that she has with Kingo, which we will definitely talk about in a minute,

[00:19:31] that she's actually using the abilities of each of the Eternals that she's stolen the powers from.

[00:19:36] You see her shooting rays out of her eyes like Icarus can.

[00:19:39] You see her creating weapons like Athena can.

[00:19:42] You see her creating a massive fist to use in the fight with Kingo, just like Gilgamesh.

[00:19:47] So she actually gets their abilities, which is much more like a deviant in the Eternals movies than her power of stealing the witch's powers, I guess.

[00:19:56] Yeah, she uses Athena's celestial weapons.

[00:19:59] Exactly.

[00:20:01] It's the best example because she pulls out that spear, which is very iconic now to Athena and Angelina Jolie.

[00:20:08] Yeah, yeah.

[00:20:09] But what I did enjoy is, and I'm going to call it out here, the musical Numbat, the song, the dance, the pageantry of Bollywood versus Hollywood.

[00:20:22] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:20:23] One side versus the other.

[00:20:25] And I was expecting the music almost like a call out to some of our friends who have done Agatha all along, not the husband and wife, Gio.

[00:20:37] Because they did marry these two very distinct, very separate musical styles very well.

[00:20:46] Yes.

[00:20:47] Yeah.

[00:20:47] Think battling banjos.

[00:20:49] That's what it felt like.

[00:20:50] It's like, but just with a very Bollywood masculine thump and then the tap dance when Agatha's side.

[00:21:01] And it works.

[00:21:01] It plays well.

[00:21:02] And it gets us to this crescendo of when them talking, going, okay, we'll work together.

[00:21:09] Yeah.

[00:21:10] I thought it was really, just really well done.

[00:21:12] It was fantastic.

[00:21:13] And I must say that one of the things I loved about the animation was that it really got the style of Catherine Han.

[00:21:18] I think you can almost see her movements in the dance movements that were animated here.

[00:21:23] I'm wondering if they got her to come down and do some of her dance moves or they just watch some of her performances.

[00:21:29] And even with Camille and Jani as well, you know, I know they had the Bollywood sequence, I suppose, that they could use for reference from Eternal.

[00:21:37] But it did feel like the actual actors were involved in motion capture of some sort to get the right movements for them as well.

[00:21:43] But I thought it was so good.

[00:21:45] It felt like it was really cool.

[00:21:47] It was fantastic.

[00:21:49] It was that big switch this morning when we were watching it first thing 8 a.m.

[00:21:53] Watching this moment.

[00:21:55] And it was that switch where just that smile went straight on my face and didn't leave it for the rest of the episode.

[00:21:59] Absolutely.

[00:22:00] They know what they're doing.

[00:22:00] Yeah, just watching it was really, really good.

[00:22:03] I mean, it's what a great way for the two protagonists to meet and to have that kind of knowing sort of glances and conversations with this dance, this big show number and dance off.

[00:22:17] You know, as Hollywood meets Bollywood, which meets Eternal and Agatha meets Kingo.

[00:22:24] And I just thought the dance together was just I just was so cool.

[00:22:29] I just loved how it the you know, the camera switched to the different styles.

[00:22:35] And like you say, you have different music, but the different styles of dancing sort of that that classic era, the big show dance.

[00:22:44] And I love the fact that the put upon Jarvis, which I just loved throughout this.

[00:22:50] And, you know, he's he's he's kind of moaning about the amount of reshoots and the amount of re rewrites that has to be done.

[00:22:58] Yeah.

[00:22:59] And I think ultimately this big show number dance occurs because he's saying, well, we don't want to do any more reshoots.

[00:23:08] So we don't want to be doing a big dance number with loads of extras, more actors and so on.

[00:23:14] It's like, what a great idea.

[00:23:15] Yeah.

[00:23:16] And I love that Howard, it's a great part of his character that he hears things around him, but isn't actually listening to anybody just picks the things he wants to hear out of the things people are saying.

[00:23:27] Similar to his son, Tony, I guess.

[00:23:28] And, you know, you have have that moment, as you say, he hears Edwin saying, oh, you're probably going to have hundreds of dancers on one side, hundreds of dancers on the other.

[00:23:37] Raise the lights and lift the ceiling and go, brilliant idea.

[00:23:40] Finally getting into the creative job that you should be in working in Hollywood land.

[00:23:44] Well, that's it.

[00:23:44] There's a great moment in the Griffith Observatory when Arisham is there and you've kind of got Jarvis looking really anxious and worried and concerned.

[00:23:55] But you've got Howard, who's all kind of giddy in his director's seat up on with the camera, you know, we'll be legends.

[00:24:03] This is gold.

[00:24:04] Are you guessing all this?

[00:24:05] You've got a really nice moment where the cameraman behind him just puts his thumb up.

[00:24:09] And there's a real neat little touch.

[00:24:12] But he's kind of like giddy with delight all the way through this.

[00:24:15] And obviously you find out that he knew that Agatha was a witch anyway.

[00:24:20] Exactly.

[00:24:20] And you can go, it was eternal.

[00:24:23] Exactly.

[00:24:23] He was like, great.

[00:24:24] And this is going to be brilliant.

[00:24:25] I don't quite like the way he said to Kingo, I'll have to look under the bonnet after this is over.

[00:24:32] It sounds like an autopsy is coming his way.

[00:24:35] But also, I think, what's the other great line that Kingo has?

[00:24:40] It's in Griffith Observatory and he's kind of strung up and he's like, this looks a bit like ritual sacrifice to me.

[00:24:48] Like wondering what has he let himself in for with Agatha.

[00:24:52] Yeah.

[00:24:53] I loved it just because Stark Transmere goes, yeah, special effects are expensive.

[00:24:58] We save others.

[00:24:59] Exactly.

[00:25:00] We use some real movie magic.

[00:25:01] Yeah, that's great.

[00:25:02] Really good.

[00:25:03] But back to the dance itself, though, I loved when the two of them actually meet as the dance merges together almost.

[00:25:09] And again, you see Howard behind the camera going, oh, are they going to dance?

[00:25:13] Are they going to dance?

[00:25:13] Yes, they are.

[00:25:14] You know, he's giving a kind of a running commentary as it goes.

[00:25:17] And then there's the switch.

[00:25:19] You hear that Kingo is here.

[00:25:21] He knows exactly what Agatha is trying to do.

[00:25:23] He knows she's trying to raise Tiamat and he's there to stop her.

[00:25:27] But an interesting little bit they pulled from Kingo's character from Eternals.

[00:25:31] That she's able to convince him to join the opposite side that he started out on, just like he did in Eternals.

[00:25:38] He's the most easily convinced, I guess, of the Eternals to change sides.

[00:25:43] He also says that he's the prime Eternals as well.

[00:25:46] And I'm wondering, was he that anyway or is he that now because all the others are in storage, as Agatha says, which has taken his power?

[00:25:56] Exactly.

[00:25:56] I think Agatha's kind of going, I don't think Arashem would have handed that over to you.

[00:26:00] He might be a good actor, but not that good an actor.

[00:26:05] But yeah, I really like that that's the way they've done it.

[00:26:08] But again, it's bits that they've taken from the characters as written in the other properties and kept that characterization of them.

[00:26:16] That's how What If can work really well.

[00:26:19] When they tell those stories, when they come up with a great premise to use these characters to tell a different story.

[00:26:24] But they still form the characters that we've seen before.

[00:26:27] Agatha still gets to the end and we still find out this is just her path to power.

[00:26:32] Once again, no, she's not trying to save the Earth from it exploding because of a celestial being being inside it.

[00:26:39] She just wants the power of the celestial beings and gets it and goes, I've got my power now.

[00:26:44] I'm moving on to my next thing, you know?

[00:26:46] She got the power of two celestial beings.

[00:26:49] She eventually did, yeah.

[00:26:50] Exactly.

[00:26:50] Like she's really powerful.

[00:26:52] And I think moving to our final point, what if the universe was changed forever?

[00:27:00] What would be so different?

[00:27:02] One of those is that, you know, Agatha, by absorbing these two celestial's cosmic energy, Arisham and Tiamat, like she's hugely powerful.

[00:27:15] I mean, even before she slays Arisham, he says, you know, like you see him arriving.

[00:27:24] I do like that actual little interjection where it says, meanwhile in space.

[00:27:29] And you just see the next line sort of zooming across the galaxy.

[00:27:33] But when he arrives and he faces them, he's like, it must be strange such a primitive animal or species as yourself with this type of energy.

[00:27:47] Yes.

[00:27:48] And again, I like the fact that she hoodwinks him.

[00:27:53] And it almost reminded me back to a Blackadder sort of sarcastic comment where she goes, she kind of hoodwinks him and she's like, it's called acting.

[00:28:07] Because she fires the stuff that he just dodges.

[00:28:10] Yeah.

[00:28:11] She says, well, that was just to get you into position with this.

[00:28:14] It's called acting.

[00:28:15] Exactly.

[00:28:16] It just reminds me of a Blackadder line.

[00:28:19] It's a great one.

[00:28:20] That's a touchback to WandaVision.

[00:28:22] And that's what Wanda did to capture Agatha in the end of WandaVision.

[00:28:26] She put the runes behind her going over her head, missed her a couple of times.

[00:28:30] And the runes actually formed the way to capture Agatha.

[00:28:33] So that's what Agatha does here.

[00:28:35] She sends the runes behind him and creates the big cross.

[00:28:37] This is all before as well.

[00:28:39] Yeah, exactly.

[00:28:40] So she did something similar to what was in WandaVision.

[00:28:43] She's not being inspired by it.

[00:28:44] This is a different universe.

[00:28:45] And it's 80 or 90 years before she ever met Wanda.

[00:28:49] But I like that that's something similar that she does.

[00:28:53] Yeah.

[00:28:54] For me, this was just pure fun.

[00:28:56] And it ends in a way of the, ooh.

[00:28:59] Because you do end with Agatha being a pretty powerful cosmic being.

[00:29:04] Like, so, because her powers usually stay amped, like, when she takes on that power.

[00:29:11] So the question is, like, okay, now she is the power of two Eternals.

[00:29:15] Now, three other Eternals are on their way to the planet.

[00:29:19] Yes.

[00:29:19] To take her on.

[00:29:20] Yes.

[00:29:20] But she is still super powerful and has an army of Eternals with her.

[00:29:25] Yes.

[00:29:26] Because she, Argem the Judge's Eternals were the Eternals we know of Earth.

[00:29:32] Mm-hmm.

[00:29:32] And they were also there to mind Tiamat.

[00:29:36] So she basically has her own little cabal?

[00:29:41] I don't know what.

[00:29:42] A collective of Eternals.

[00:29:45] Yes.

[00:29:45] And she is powered up.

[00:29:47] Yeah.

[00:29:47] And I do wonder whether we are getting, it is that kind of, what will happen next?

[00:29:54] Find out more.

[00:29:55] Because it does feel that you could leave it at that.

[00:29:58] And then all of a sudden they just get popped off to another planet.

[00:30:02] Yes.

[00:30:03] Both.

[00:30:04] Right.

[00:30:05] We've been hoodwinked by this every season.

[00:30:07] We almost talked about it.

[00:30:08] But we did talk about it on our first episode of this season as well.

[00:30:11] We've been hoodwinked every season.

[00:30:12] The What If episodes are never standalone.

[00:30:14] They will always reincorporate them somehow in the future.

[00:30:17] And we know one of the episodes coming up later in the season, episode on the 26th, I think,

[00:30:23] on the day after Christmas Day, is What If the Emergence Destroyed Earth?

[00:30:27] And the Emergence is the Emergence of Tiamat in the Eternals.

[00:30:30] So we're assuming that's the episode that's going to revisit the Eternals that are coming towards Earth to take out Agatha.

[00:30:38] Especially because the Watcher at the end of the episode says,

[00:30:41] Who doesn't like a cliffhanger rather than a happy ending, right?

[00:30:43] So I think that's the cliffhanger he's talking about, that it will be revisited in this final season of What If.

[00:30:49] Maybe.

[00:30:50] Maybe.

[00:30:50] I just think you've also...

[00:30:52] Agatha is super powerful now.

[00:30:54] That is a nice one to pull into the very last episode as you're kind of like,

[00:30:58] We need a super...

[00:31:00] Very much like the Captain Marvel arriving at the end of Endgame, down through the ship.

[00:31:05] Yeah.

[00:31:05] That level of power.

[00:31:07] You're like, Oh, here's Agatha.

[00:31:09] It was Agatha saving the day all along.

[00:31:11] Now there is one thing we should probably discuss, and this is in the Wikipedia synopsis for the episode.

[00:31:16] Now Wikipedia is not written by anybody involved in the show or anything like that.

[00:31:18] But in there they say that Kingo's speech to Agatha convinces her to give up all of the powers

[00:31:25] and get the adoration that she's always been seeking,

[00:31:28] this thing that she's trying to get more and more powerful,

[00:31:30] by making movies that will change the world.

[00:31:33] And her fans will give her the adoration instead of her keeping the powers.

[00:31:36] And he also mentions in that discussion with her that the rest of the Eternals have been restored to life.

[00:31:42] So according to that Wikipedia synopsis, and again, just to have the discussion about it,

[00:31:46] she's actually given up all the powers.

[00:31:48] That's why she's returned to normal size.

[00:31:50] She's no longer the celestial size at the end of the episode,

[00:31:53] and all the Eternals have their own powers back.

[00:31:55] So she's now a very powerful person in Hollywood land,

[00:31:59] but not a massively powerful celestial-filled witch by the end of the episode.

[00:32:06] Again, according to the Wikipedia synopsis.

[00:32:07] I didn't take that.

[00:32:08] Did you guys see any of that at all?

[00:32:10] I thought she was just shrinking herself down to be the star.

[00:32:14] I had that.

[00:32:15] I just assumed she had shrunk down.

[00:32:18] Yeah.

[00:32:19] Yeah.

[00:32:19] Yeah, I took it that she shrunk down,

[00:32:21] and the speech had convinced her to not go after more power.

[00:32:26] She didn't need to take more.

[00:32:28] She should take the adoration of the audience in Hollywood

[00:32:32] versus going after other celestials and putting the Earth in danger,

[00:32:36] yada, yada, yada.

[00:32:37] That's how I took it.

[00:32:39] But I can see...

[00:32:42] No, I was going to say I could see where they're writing it,

[00:32:46] but I'm actually like, no, I'm kind of...

[00:32:48] It doesn't ring completely true,

[00:32:50] because we do know that the celestials can go down,

[00:32:53] can manipulate their size,

[00:32:55] and we've seen that before.

[00:32:56] And actually, in restoring the Eternals,

[00:33:03] like, yes, they're restored purely through the cosmic energy,

[00:33:10] and she's got two lots of celestial cosmic energy,

[00:33:16] plus what she had already taken from.

[00:33:18] So in a sense, she's still hugely powered up,

[00:33:22] even if she does give back some of the energy

[00:33:26] just to restore the Eternals.

[00:33:28] Yeah, she basically gave away her baby toe.

[00:33:30] Yeah, exactly.

[00:33:31] It's just like, oh no.

[00:33:33] That's not even probably, like,

[00:33:35] a piece of her, like, baby finger.

[00:33:39] Like, that's, like, comparatively,

[00:33:42] because she has two celestials.

[00:33:44] Yeah.

[00:33:45] Again, the Wikipedia synopsis is saying

[00:33:47] that she gave up all of the power,

[00:33:48] all of that power to become a star in Hollywood.

[00:33:51] And I think that's,

[00:33:52] I'm not going to go into my overall wrap-up

[00:33:54] for the episode, whether I defended it or not.

[00:33:56] I did absolutely enjoy it.

[00:33:56] But one of the things I found a little bit grating

[00:33:59] in this episode was the speech from Kingo to Agatha.

[00:34:04] It's something I'm a huge fan of behind-the-scenes stuff.

[00:34:07] I'm a huge fan of filmmaking overall.

[00:34:08] But once that stuff where a writer in a writer's room

[00:34:11] starts writing about writer-y things

[00:34:12] that nobody else should really know about

[00:34:14] when you're watching a show,

[00:34:16] nobody should be thinking about it.

[00:34:17] Nobody should be thinking that people in Hollywood

[00:34:18] actually go out and make movies and say,

[00:34:21] you're old by making this dance spectacular.

[00:34:23] You know, that's the only thing I didn't really like,

[00:34:27] that Kingo had to rely on Agatha's love of adoration

[00:34:31] to solve this problem where she became a celestia.

[00:34:34] Agree.

[00:34:34] I thought it was a little bit much.

[00:34:35] Agrees.

[00:34:36] It felt a little schmaltzy.

[00:34:37] Yeah, that's true.

[00:34:37] And it felt a little schmaltzy in episode one as well

[00:34:41] with that kind of conversation.

[00:34:44] See, I preferred it in episode one.

[00:34:45] No, agreed.

[00:34:45] But on the spectrum of schmaltzy,

[00:34:48] it was less schmaltzy than this one.

[00:34:51] On a scale of one to too much schmaltzy,

[00:34:54] this had...

[00:34:55] Exactly.

[00:34:56] Exactly.

[00:34:56] 4.5 schmaltzy out of town.

[00:34:59] Exactly.

[00:34:59] I mean, I think it was to the point that...

[00:35:01] I mean, I didn't really...

[00:35:03] I know what you're saying.

[00:35:04] I took it,

[00:35:05] and I still thought it was way too schmaltzy,

[00:35:07] but I took it as

[00:35:08] she was looking to portray everything.

[00:35:11] Yes.

[00:35:12] And Kingo appeals to her ego, effectively,

[00:35:17] or the people that have dismissed her,

[00:35:19] ignored her,

[00:35:20] not paid her attention,

[00:35:22] and that she can crave that

[00:35:26] not just by taking power.

[00:35:30] That's not going to get her what she wants.

[00:35:33] Yeah.

[00:35:35] It's recognition or attention of her,

[00:35:39] I guess, skills.

[00:35:41] So that I could...

[00:35:44] But it was just done in a real schmaltzy way

[00:35:46] around changing the world with movies,

[00:35:48] which you hear at the Oscars,

[00:35:51] every sort of 10th word is,

[00:35:54] we're going to change the world.

[00:35:56] And it's like, yeah,

[00:35:57] they can absolutely spotlight something

[00:35:59] and their private charities, whatever,

[00:36:03] but I mean...

[00:36:04] And actually,

[00:36:05] what we all know is the people

[00:36:05] that watch those movies

[00:36:06] that change your life

[00:36:07] are usually people that are,

[00:36:08] have already made those decisions anyway.

[00:36:10] You're never reaching out to people

[00:36:12] that actually need to hear that message

[00:36:13] as we,

[00:36:14] as is pretty evident at the moment.

[00:36:15] I think films can move something up

[00:36:18] the agenda in the mind,

[00:36:20] the zeitgeist,

[00:36:21] the mindset or whatever,

[00:36:22] but I don't necessarily think

[00:36:23] they change the world.

[00:36:24] They change individuals

[00:36:25] by making them stars

[00:36:27] or working in film,

[00:36:29] but I think here,

[00:36:30] it was just kind of Kingo appealing

[00:36:34] to Agatha

[00:36:35] to not become a destroyer

[00:36:41] because she's trying to prove something

[00:36:44] to other people

[00:36:45] when she could get that validation

[00:36:49] through being a TV or a movie star.

[00:36:53] Yes, exactly.

[00:36:54] Exactly.

[00:36:54] So that's the big thing,

[00:36:55] I suppose,

[00:36:56] that's changed about this place

[00:36:58] is that she potentially does have

[00:37:00] those powers as well,

[00:37:02] which is pretty massive.

[00:37:03] That's completely different

[00:37:04] to our major MCU, right?

[00:37:06] That will change that world.

[00:37:08] The other thing that's pretty different

[00:37:09] about this version of the MCU,

[00:37:11] this universe in the multiverse

[00:37:14] is how it's dark and Jarvis

[00:37:15] both now know about celestials and witches,

[00:37:17] which I presume they didn't

[00:37:18] when they met up with Peggy Carter

[00:37:19] and Captain America

[00:37:21] back in the 40s.

[00:37:23] So that's pretty different

[00:37:24] about this universe.

[00:37:25] They know all about magic

[00:37:27] and know all about the celestials.

[00:37:29] And the other thing is

[00:37:30] not only that Agatha superpowered,

[00:37:33] effectively the Eternals were depowered,

[00:37:36] at least until she gave them

[00:37:40] charitably back their own powers.

[00:37:43] Their first act of actual identity, yes.

[00:37:46] But there is no emergence here.

[00:37:49] Yeah.

[00:37:49] From a celestial point of view,

[00:37:52] this Tiamat seed pod

[00:37:55] that will sprout out of Earth

[00:37:58] and form more life,

[00:38:01] that ain't gonna happen.

[00:38:02] Exactly.

[00:38:03] Yeah.

[00:38:04] The biggest,

[00:38:06] in the early 30s, 40s,

[00:38:09] where this is at,

[00:38:10] let's say 40s,

[00:38:11] the world has seen

[00:38:15] two celestial beings

[00:38:18] in the sky

[00:38:19] Yeah.

[00:38:19] Absolutely.

[00:38:20] fight.

[00:38:21] Yeah.

[00:38:21] Like,

[00:38:22] that's like endgame blip level changes

[00:38:25] to the universe.

[00:38:27] Yeah.

[00:38:28] So that's why I was like,

[00:38:30] yeah,

[00:38:30] no,

[00:38:30] this is definitely gonna be a world

[00:38:32] where things would happen

[00:38:33] very differently.

[00:38:35] Yeah,

[00:38:35] exactly.

[00:38:35] Like,

[00:38:35] you know,

[00:38:36] they're just on the brink

[00:38:37] of a world war,

[00:38:38] you know,

[00:38:38] does the world war happen?

[00:38:39] Does Captain America

[00:38:40] get created at all

[00:38:41] in the MCU?

[00:38:42] You know,

[00:38:42] all of that stuff,

[00:38:43] the first Avenger

[00:38:43] that was created there.

[00:38:44] Is there much after this,

[00:38:46] you know,

[00:38:46] when you've got a celestial person

[00:38:48] who's now an actor

[00:38:48] in Hollywood?

[00:38:49] Yeah.

[00:38:50] then there's just a guy

[00:38:51] in Austria

[00:38:52] with a really bad mustache

[00:38:54] going,

[00:38:54] oh no,

[00:38:55] oh God,

[00:38:56] they've got things up there?

[00:38:57] No,

[00:38:58] I can't do that.

[00:38:58] Maybe he should be focusing

[00:38:59] on his art.

[00:39:00] His acting career.

[00:39:03] Yeah.

[00:39:05] But at least it might get him

[00:39:06] to shave off the mustache,

[00:39:07] maybe.

[00:39:08] Maybe.

[00:39:08] Or maybe his German accent.

[00:39:10] Yeah.

[00:39:11] Oh yeah.

[00:39:14] But that's enough

[00:39:14] of my German accent.

[00:39:17] But overall,

[00:39:18] though,

[00:39:19] that is what

[00:39:20] has changed about the universe.

[00:39:21] That is this

[00:39:23] version of the multiverse.

[00:39:24] If we visit this place again

[00:39:26] in the future episode

[00:39:27] of What If,

[00:39:28] the big difference here

[00:39:28] is going to be

[00:39:29] we have a very

[00:39:30] powered up Agatha there.

[00:39:31] No Eternals,

[00:39:32] no Celestials,

[00:39:33] and maybe no other heroes.

[00:39:34] Maybe it is just Agatha

[00:39:35] protecting that world.

[00:39:36] Big time, yeah.

[00:39:37] Along with the Eternals

[00:39:38] that are there,

[00:39:38] maybe.

[00:39:38] That's the only thing

[00:39:39] if we see it in the future.

[00:39:42] Is there any other notes

[00:39:43] about the episode?

[00:39:43] Anything we haven't talked about

[00:39:44] through those three points?

[00:39:46] The only one I was going to say

[00:39:48] was to Chris's point

[00:39:50] about sort of

[00:39:52] when is this set?

[00:39:54] When is the golden age

[00:39:55] of cinema?

[00:39:56] We're kind of postulating

[00:39:57] that the episode's set

[00:39:59] late 30s or early 40s

[00:40:01] just based on the fact

[00:40:02] that in Hollywood

[00:40:04] we see that

[00:40:05] the Hollywood sign

[00:40:06] is the Hollywood land sign.

[00:40:08] That's right.

[00:40:10] Which was pre-1949.

[00:40:13] So we're kind of thinking

[00:40:15] it's before then at least

[00:40:17] so it's probably set

[00:40:18] somewhere in that interwar

[00:40:21] or just post-war period.

[00:40:24] I think they call it

[00:40:25] the golden age of cinema.

[00:40:26] They call it the 30s

[00:40:27] and the 40s

[00:40:28] is when they call it.

[00:40:29] I think it's just because

[00:40:30] of Howard Stark

[00:40:31] and Jarvis being there as well.

[00:40:33] We know roughly

[00:40:33] what age they are.

[00:40:34] We saw them

[00:40:35] in the early 40s

[00:40:36] when Captain America appeared

[00:40:37] so they can't be

[00:40:38] too much further back

[00:40:39] or too much further ahead

[00:40:40] I suppose than that.

[00:40:42] I will raise my hand

[00:40:44] and this will show

[00:40:45] my ignorance

[00:40:47] of American US history.

[00:40:50] I did not know

[00:40:51] Hollywood land

[00:40:52] was a real thing.

[00:40:54] I thought it was just

[00:40:54] them making a

[00:40:57] pun on

[00:40:58] like Hollywood

[00:41:00] and the MCU.

[00:41:03] I did not know

[00:41:04] that was an actual

[00:41:05] Hollywood land sign

[00:41:06] was an actual

[00:41:08] historical thing

[00:41:08] so I learned

[00:41:10] something today.

[00:41:11] Do you know what

[00:41:11] I found out today Chris

[00:41:12] to give you a little bit

[00:41:13] of extra on this

[00:41:14] so if I learned it

[00:41:15] we might as well

[00:41:16] let our fellow defenders

[00:41:17] learn it as well.

[00:41:18] The Hollywood land sign

[00:41:19] was actually put up there

[00:41:20] by an estate agent

[00:41:21] trying to sell

[00:41:22] Hollywood land

[00:41:23] an area of properties

[00:41:24] below it.

[00:41:26] It was supposed to be

[00:41:26] for 18 months

[00:41:27] while they sold the houses

[00:41:28] that was in the 1920s

[00:41:29] and stayed there

[00:41:30] until 1949

[00:41:31] when it started to fall down.

[00:41:33] The H apparently

[00:41:34] fell down

[00:41:34] at one point

[00:41:35] and because you could see

[00:41:36] it from all across

[00:41:37] Hollywood

[00:41:37] they all got together

[00:41:39] and went lads

[00:41:39] we need to fix this thing

[00:41:41] take down the sign

[00:41:42] fix it all up

[00:41:43] we don't need

[00:41:44] the Hollywood land thing

[00:41:45] because that's just

[00:41:46] one estate

[00:41:46] of houses that's there

[00:41:48] we'll just call it

[00:41:49] Hollywood now

[00:41:49] and take off the land

[00:41:50] so that's where it came from.

[00:41:51] Really boring

[00:41:52] Oh my god

[00:41:53] that's really interesting

[00:41:54] No it's not boring

[00:41:55] it's actually cool

[00:41:55] it stood there for about

[00:41:56] 15 years

[00:41:57] going into disrepair

[00:41:59] because it was owned

[00:42:00] by a property group

[00:42:01] that had put it up

[00:42:02] to sell houses

[00:42:03] in the 20s

[00:42:03] there you go

[00:42:04] So we should do one

[00:42:05] in Dublin mountains

[00:42:06] just going

[00:42:07] Dub

[00:42:10] Dubland

[00:42:10] It'd have to be

[00:42:11] you'd have to start out

[00:42:11] at least with Dublin land

[00:42:12] and then eventually

[00:42:13] some of the letters fall off

[00:42:15] Okay I'm gonna go

[00:42:16] Dublin land

[00:42:17] There you go

[00:42:18] I just need the guy

[00:42:19] from the Fontaines

[00:42:20] to say it there

[00:42:21] Absolutely

[00:42:22] Absolutely

[00:42:24] One other one

[00:42:25] that I just wanted to mention

[00:42:26] I think it would have been

[00:42:27] really cool

[00:42:28] given that we have

[00:42:29] Edwin Jarvis in here

[00:42:30] the assistant director

[00:42:33] I think he's called

[00:42:34] by Howard Stark

[00:42:35] It would have been

[00:42:36] kind of cool

[00:42:36] if we saw

[00:42:37] Karun Patel

[00:42:38] King goes valet

[00:42:39] in here

[00:42:40] King goes valet

[00:42:40] from the Eternals

[00:42:41] but of course

[00:42:42] he wouldn't have been

[00:42:44] even born

[00:42:44] at the stage

[00:42:45] this episode takes place

[00:42:47] but maybe his grandfather

[00:42:48] who was

[00:42:49] King goes valet

[00:42:50] at the time

[00:42:50] or something like that

[00:42:51] Yeah maybe

[00:42:51] I'd just like to see

[00:42:52] the interplay

[00:42:52] between King goes valet

[00:42:54] and Edwin Jarvis

[00:42:55] the put upon

[00:42:56] valet of Howard Stark

[00:42:58] That would have been

[00:42:59] quite good actually

[00:42:59] two put upon assistants

[00:43:01] Exactly

[00:43:02] I would have

[00:43:02] enjoyed that a lot

[00:43:04] Excellent stuff

[00:43:05] Well let us get

[00:43:06] into our

[00:43:07] defense

[00:43:08] for episode 2

[00:43:10] What if Agatha

[00:43:11] went to Hollywood

[00:43:12] Chris

[00:43:13] do you defend

[00:43:15] this episode?

[00:43:16] I do

[00:43:17] This was fun

[00:43:18] This was a fun

[00:43:19] Hollywood romp

[00:43:20] in the 40s

[00:43:23] and yeah

[00:43:24] I enjoyed it

[00:43:25] I enjoyed

[00:43:26] the beginning

[00:43:27] the middle

[00:43:28] and the end

[00:43:28] I enjoyed

[00:43:30] that it left

[00:43:31] on a cliffhanger

[00:43:32] and even if we

[00:43:33] don't go back

[00:43:34] to it

[00:43:34] I do enjoy

[00:43:35] that it

[00:43:36] potentially

[00:43:36] what it could

[00:43:37] set up for the

[00:43:38] future

[00:43:38] in just

[00:43:41] an interesting

[00:43:42] way

[00:43:43] I

[00:43:44] love

[00:43:44] Catherine Han

[00:43:45] I love

[00:43:46] Camille

[00:43:46] Nguyen

[00:43:46] so this was

[00:43:48] fun to see

[00:43:48] these two

[00:43:49] again

[00:43:49] portraying

[00:43:50] their characters

[00:43:51] I think

[00:43:52] that's what

[00:43:52] I enjoy

[00:43:54] most

[00:43:54] which is

[00:43:56] putting

[00:43:56] characters

[00:43:57] that we

[00:43:57] only see

[00:43:57] every now

[00:43:58] and again

[00:43:58] like

[00:43:59] screen time

[00:44:00] wise

[00:44:00] it's not

[00:44:01] like the

[00:44:01] old

[00:44:02] X-Files

[00:44:03] where you

[00:44:03] had 22

[00:44:04] episodes

[00:44:05] a season

[00:44:06] and you

[00:44:06] had a lot

[00:44:07] of time

[00:44:07] with David

[00:44:08] Duchovny

[00:44:08] over years

[00:44:09] this is

[00:44:10] yeah

[00:44:11] but this

[00:44:11] is like

[00:44:12] we've seen

[00:44:12] Camille

[00:44:13] Nguyen

[00:44:13] as Kingo

[00:44:14] twice

[00:44:16] in the

[00:44:16] Eternals

[00:44:17] and now

[00:44:17] this

[00:44:18] and you're

[00:44:21] give me

[00:44:22] more

[00:44:22] yes

[00:44:22] so let's

[00:44:23] wait and

[00:44:24] see

[00:44:24] but yes

[00:44:24] overall

[00:44:25] I do

[00:44:25] defend

[00:44:26] this

[00:44:26] Derek

[00:44:27] do you

[00:44:29] defend

[00:44:29] this

[00:44:29] episode

[00:44:30] of

[00:44:30] what if

[00:44:32] absolutely

[00:44:32] oh I

[00:44:33] loved

[00:44:33] this

[00:44:34] this is

[00:44:34] one of

[00:44:35] my

[00:44:51] what if

[00:44:51] I thought

[00:44:52] it would

[00:44:53] lead into

[00:44:55] here comes

[00:44:55] Scarlet Witch

[00:44:56] again

[00:44:56] or

[00:44:57] actually

[00:44:58] she meets

[00:44:58] Captain

[00:44:59] America

[00:44:59] and it's

[00:44:59] going to

[00:45:00] be a

[00:45:00] Captain

[00:45:00] America

[00:45:00] story

[00:45:01] but

[00:45:01] for it

[00:45:01] to be

[00:45:02] such an

[00:45:02] episode

[00:45:02] focused

[00:45:03] on

[00:45:03] Agatha

[00:45:04] Harkness

[00:45:04] meeting up

[00:45:05] with one

[00:45:05] of our

[00:45:05] favorite

[00:45:06] characters

[00:45:06] from the

[00:45:06] Eternals

[00:45:07] as well

[00:45:07] having

[00:45:09] Kingo

[00:45:09] in there

[00:45:10] the two

[00:45:11] characters

[00:45:11] themselves

[00:45:11] being the

[00:45:12] center

[00:45:12] of the

[00:45:12] episode

[00:45:13] I think

[00:45:14] it

[00:45:14] stood out

[00:45:15] to me

[00:45:15] as being

[00:45:15] something

[00:45:16] really

[00:45:16] special

[00:45:17] they know

[00:45:18] what they

[00:45:18] have

[00:45:21] that they

[00:45:21] can bring

[00:45:22] into

[00:45:22] this show

[00:45:24] in what if

[00:45:24] give them

[00:45:25] a really

[00:45:26] good story

[00:45:26] have a lot

[00:45:27] of fun

[00:45:27] with it

[00:45:28] and tell

[00:45:28] something

[00:45:28] that's

[00:45:29] really fun

[00:45:29] to watch

[00:45:30] and that's

[00:45:30] exactly

[00:45:31] what I'm

[00:45:31] looking for

[00:45:32] we had a bit

[00:45:32] of criticism

[00:45:33] for the first

[00:45:34] episode

[00:45:34] of the show

[00:45:35] because

[00:45:36] it featured

[00:45:37] characters

[00:45:37] like

[00:45:38] Shang-Chi

[00:45:39] and Moon Knight

[00:45:40] who we

[00:45:40] really wanted

[00:45:41] to see

[00:45:41] again

[00:45:41] after their

[00:45:42] brilliant

[00:45:42] appearances

[00:45:43] in the

[00:45:44] Shang-Chi

[00:45:44] movie

[00:45:44] and Moon Knight

[00:45:45] TV show

[00:45:46] only being

[00:45:47] given two

[00:45:48] or three

[00:45:48] lines

[00:45:49] in that

[00:45:49] episode

[00:45:49] you know

[00:45:50] you bring

[00:45:50] them on

[00:45:51] board

[00:45:51] you put

[00:45:52] them there

[00:45:52] and then

[00:45:52] they're

[00:45:52] just

[00:45:53] background

[00:45:53] characters

[00:45:53] whereas

[00:45:54] here

[00:45:54] we have

[00:45:55] two

[00:45:55] of

[00:45:55] our

[00:45:55] favourite

[00:45:56] characters

[00:45:56] getting

[00:45:56] a real

[00:45:57] story

[00:45:58] together

[00:45:58] it felt

[00:45:58] meaty

[00:45:59] it felt

[00:45:59] enjoyable

[00:45:59] and that

[00:46:00] dance

[00:46:01] sequence

[00:46:01] was

[00:46:02] excellent

[00:46:02] I really

[00:46:03] enjoyed

[00:46:03] watching that

[00:46:04] watched it

[00:46:04] a couple

[00:46:04] of times

[00:46:04] today

[00:46:05] I really

[00:46:06] really enjoyed

[00:46:07] high defend

[00:46:08] for me

[00:46:08] I hope

[00:46:09] we're going

[00:46:09] to see

[00:46:09] more of

[00:46:10] this world

[00:46:11] later on

[00:46:11] in the final

[00:46:12] season of

[00:46:12] What If

[00:46:13] How about

[00:46:14] yourself John

[00:46:14] do you defend

[00:46:15] season 3

[00:46:16] episode 2

[00:46:16] of What If

[00:46:17] I really

[00:46:18] do defend

[00:46:19] this episode

[00:46:20] give this

[00:46:20] 5 celestial

[00:46:22] creative

[00:46:23] juices

[00:46:23] out of

[00:46:24] 5

[00:46:24] I really

[00:46:26] really enjoyed

[00:46:27] the whole

[00:46:28] premise of

[00:46:29] this

[00:46:29] Agatha's

[00:46:31] sort of

[00:46:31] moving into

[00:46:33] 6th gear

[00:46:34] moving on

[00:46:36] from mere

[00:46:37] mortal-y

[00:46:38] witches

[00:46:39] into the

[00:46:40] celestial

[00:46:41] energy

[00:46:42] stealing

[00:46:42] and the

[00:46:43] dance

[00:46:44] number

[00:46:44] is just

[00:46:45] a glorious

[00:46:46] spectacle

[00:46:46] and a

[00:46:48] great idea

[00:46:48] and just

[00:46:50] pulled off

[00:46:51] in such

[00:46:52] a fantastic

[00:46:53] way

[00:46:53] and yeah

[00:46:55] it had me

[00:46:56] just sort

[00:46:57] of entranced

[00:46:58] as I say

[00:46:59] as you had

[00:47:01] Kingo

[00:47:01] and Agatha

[00:47:03] meeting

[00:47:03] through the

[00:47:04] medium of

[00:47:05] dance

[00:47:05] dare I

[00:47:06] say it

[00:47:06] really good

[00:47:07] and I

[00:47:09] like the

[00:47:09] fact that

[00:47:10] you have

[00:47:11] sort of

[00:47:11] this

[00:47:12] anarchic

[00:47:13] kind of

[00:47:14] Howard Stark

[00:47:15] really

[00:47:16] and

[00:47:18] just

[00:47:18] constantly

[00:47:19] like

[00:47:20] completely

[00:47:21] full of

[00:47:21] energy

[00:47:21] as well

[00:47:22] I'm sure

[00:47:22] Agatha

[00:47:23] could have

[00:47:23] stripped

[00:47:24] some of

[00:47:24] the energy

[00:47:24] from him

[00:47:25] and he

[00:47:25] would have

[00:47:25] still been

[00:47:26] able to

[00:47:26] direct

[00:47:27] the movie

[00:47:29] but I

[00:47:29] love his

[00:47:30] kind of

[00:47:30] high octane

[00:47:32] high energy

[00:47:33] sort of

[00:47:34] enthusiasm

[00:47:35] for everything

[00:47:36] that's happening

[00:47:37] and going

[00:47:38] on

[00:47:39] but it

[00:47:40] just works

[00:47:41] really well

[00:47:42] the cadence

[00:47:43] of it

[00:47:44] what he

[00:47:44] actually says

[00:47:45] and then

[00:47:46] contrasted

[00:47:47] with Jarvis

[00:47:48] is so

[00:47:48] so good

[00:47:49] all these

[00:47:50] things for me

[00:47:51] just came

[00:47:51] into this

[00:47:52] glorious

[00:47:53] episode

[00:47:54] that

[00:47:55] does the

[00:47:56] references

[00:47:57] to the

[00:47:57] golden era

[00:47:58] of cinema

[00:47:59] borrows from

[00:48:00] WandaVision

[00:48:01] from

[00:48:01] Agent Carter

[00:48:02] you name it

[00:48:03] in just a

[00:48:05] really

[00:48:05] different way

[00:48:06] simply by

[00:48:08] in many

[00:48:09] respects

[00:48:09] by having

[00:48:09] it

[00:48:10] this

[00:48:11] dance

[00:48:12] and actually

[00:48:13] just bring in

[00:48:13] the Eternals

[00:48:14] exactly

[00:48:15] something really

[00:48:16] different just

[00:48:16] for the

[00:48:17] what if

[00:48:17] series

[00:48:17] it's like

[00:48:18] the zombies

[00:48:19] being brought

[00:48:19] in

[00:48:19] the Marvel

[00:48:21] zombies

[00:48:21] so absolutely

[00:48:22] defend this

[00:48:23] five

[00:48:24] celestial

[00:48:25] creative

[00:48:26] juices

[00:48:26] out of

[00:48:27] five

[00:48:27] excellent

[00:48:28] excellent

[00:48:28] you're right

[00:48:29] though

[00:48:29] it was

[00:48:30] great to

[00:48:30] see Dominic

[00:48:31] Cooper

[00:48:31] hear

[00:48:31] Dominic

[00:48:32] Cooper

[00:48:32] and James

[00:48:32] Darcy

[00:48:33] back

[00:48:33] voicing

[00:48:34] those

[00:48:34] iconic

[00:48:35] characters

[00:48:35] that we

[00:48:35] heard

[00:48:35] on our

[00:48:36] screens

[00:48:37] weekly

[00:48:37] for two

[00:48:38] seasons

[00:48:38] back in

[00:48:38] our

[00:48:39] Asian

[00:48:39] character

[00:48:39] days

[00:48:39] we loved

[00:48:40] so much

[00:48:40] that was

[00:48:41] such a fun

[00:48:41] show to

[00:48:41] cover as

[00:48:42] well

[00:48:42] excellent

[00:48:42] stuff

[00:48:43] you've

[00:48:44] heard from

[00:48:44] us

[00:48:45] fellow

[00:48:45] defenders

[00:48:45] let us

[00:48:46] get on

[00:48:47] to

[00:48:47] hearing

[00:48:47] from

[00:48:48] you

[00:48:48] with

[00:48:49] our

[00:48:49] multiversal

[00:48:50] messages

[00:48:51] and

[00:48:52] feedback

[00:48:53] first up

[00:48:54] we have

[00:48:55] an email

[00:48:55] from

[00:48:56] coffee and

[00:48:57] vodka

[00:48:57] who says

[00:48:58] greetings

[00:48:59] fellow

[00:49:00] spellbound

[00:49:00] defenders

[00:49:01] now

[00:49:02] if you're

[00:49:02] going to

[00:49:02] borrow

[00:49:03] this is

[00:49:03] how you

[00:49:04] do it

[00:49:04] from

[00:49:05] Howard

[00:49:05] Hughes

[00:49:06] Stark

[00:49:06] to

[00:49:07] WandaVision

[00:49:07] to

[00:49:08] Hollywood

[00:49:08] versus

[00:49:09] Bollywood

[00:49:09] and more

[00:49:10] but

[00:49:10] remixed

[00:49:11] and

[00:49:11] delivered

[00:49:12] in

[00:49:12] every

[00:49:13] colour

[00:49:13] of

[00:49:14] fun

[00:49:14] there

[00:49:14] is

[00:49:15] twice

[00:49:15] as good

[00:49:16] as

[00:49:16] Agatha

[00:49:16] all along

[00:49:17] and

[00:49:17] all

[00:49:18] the

[00:49:18] eternals

[00:49:19] should

[00:49:19] have

[00:49:19] been

[00:49:20] in

[00:49:20] tone

[00:49:20] absolutely

[00:49:22] fantastic

[00:49:23] what

[00:49:23] changed

[00:49:24] everything

[00:49:25] no more

[00:49:26] Tiamat

[00:49:26] war

[00:49:27] possibly

[00:49:27] a thing

[00:49:27] of the

[00:49:28] past

[00:49:28] and

[00:49:29] half

[00:49:29] the plot

[00:49:30] of the

[00:49:30] upcoming

[00:49:31] Captain

[00:49:31] America

[00:49:32] movie

[00:49:32] out the

[00:49:33] window

[00:49:33] so bright

[00:49:34] so active

[00:49:35] so fully

[00:49:36] packed

[00:49:36] with

[00:49:37] Kingo

[00:49:37] getting

[00:49:38] his

[00:49:38] full

[00:49:38] due

[00:49:39] easily

[00:49:40] one of

[00:49:40] the

[00:49:40] best

[00:49:40] what

[00:49:41] if

[00:49:41] lot

[00:49:42] all right

[00:49:43] done

[00:49:43] gushing

[00:49:43] offer

[00:49:44] a rewatch

[00:49:45] five

[00:49:46] aborted

[00:49:46] rebirths

[00:49:47] Balmoral

[00:49:48] glyphs

[00:49:49] and

[00:49:49] Arashamaring

[00:49:50] remains

[00:49:51] out of

[00:49:52] five

[00:49:52] peace

[00:49:53] and

[00:49:53] take

[00:49:53] care

[00:49:53] coffee

[00:49:54] and vodka

[00:49:55] fantastic

[00:49:56] excellent

[00:49:57] stuff

[00:49:57] actually

[00:50:00] thing

[00:50:00] when

[00:50:01] Jarvis

[00:50:01] said

[00:50:02] he

[00:50:02] went

[00:50:02] to

[00:50:02] school

[00:50:02] in

[00:50:02] Balmoral

[00:50:03] I was

[00:50:03] thinking

[00:50:03] but

[00:50:03] isn't

[00:50:04] that

[00:50:04] just

[00:50:04] where

[00:50:04] the

[00:50:04] queen's

[00:50:05] Scottish

[00:50:05] castle

[00:50:06] is

[00:50:06] there

[00:50:07] probably

[00:50:08] is

[00:50:08] a

[00:50:08] private

[00:50:09] school

[00:50:09] there

[00:50:09] as well

[00:50:09] but

[00:50:10] who knows

[00:50:10] maybe

[00:50:30] I want

[00:50:30] to see

[00:50:31] Pennyworth

[00:50:31] and

[00:50:34] Jarvis

[00:50:35] in the

[00:50:35] same

[00:50:35] place

[00:50:36] wouldn't

[00:50:36] that

[00:50:36] be

[00:50:37] cool

[00:50:38] silver

[00:50:39] service

[00:50:40] the new

[00:50:40] comic

[00:50:41] thanks

[00:50:42] coffee

[00:50:42] yeah

[00:50:43] agreed

[00:50:44] this is

[00:50:45] one of

[00:50:45] the best

[00:50:46] of the

[00:50:47] three

[00:50:47] seasons

[00:50:48] now

[00:50:48] the only

[00:50:49] thing

[00:50:49] I'm going

[00:50:49] to say

[00:50:50] one of

[00:50:50] is

[00:50:50] because

[00:50:51] we have

[00:50:51] so much

[00:50:52] more

[00:50:52] to come

[00:50:53] in the

[00:50:54] next

[00:50:54] kind of

[00:50:54] six

[00:50:55] days

[00:50:55] additionally

[00:50:58] I really

[00:50:59] just enjoy

[00:50:59] Agatha

[00:51:00] yeah

[00:51:00] and I

[00:51:01] think

[00:51:01] that's

[00:51:02] knowing

[00:51:03] that this

[00:51:03] is now

[00:51:04] the last

[00:51:05] we'll see

[00:51:05] of her

[00:51:05] for the

[00:51:06] foreseeable

[00:51:07] feature

[00:51:07] but there's

[00:51:08] no

[00:51:08] official

[00:51:10] confirmed

[00:51:11] next time

[00:51:12] she'll be

[00:51:12] back

[00:51:12] yeah

[00:51:13] so I am

[00:51:14] looking

[00:51:14] forward

[00:51:14] like this

[00:51:15] was

[00:51:15] I'll

[00:51:15] savour

[00:51:16] this

[00:51:17] Catherine

[00:51:17] Hand

[00:51:19] infused

[00:51:19] 20 minutes

[00:51:20] absolutely

[00:51:21] absolutely

[00:51:22] and she

[00:51:22] knew what

[00:51:23] she was

[00:51:23] doing as

[00:51:23] well

[00:51:23] which

[00:51:24] is

[00:51:24] great

[00:51:24] she knew

[00:51:24] exactly

[00:51:25] what she

[00:51:25] wanted to

[00:51:25] deliver

[00:51:26] and she

[00:51:26] delivered

[00:51:26] it

[00:51:27] just as

[00:51:27] well

[00:51:27] as

[00:51:27] she has

[00:51:28] in

[00:51:28] WandaVision

[00:51:29] and

[00:51:29] like

[00:51:29] all

[00:51:29] along

[00:51:29] as

[00:51:29] well

[00:51:30] so

[00:51:30] let's

[00:51:31] hope

[00:51:31] we'll

[00:51:31] see her

[00:51:31] back

[00:51:31] very

[00:51:32] soon

[00:51:32] in

[00:51:33] another

[00:51:33] episode

[00:51:33] of

[00:51:34] what

[00:51:34] if

[00:51:34] at

[00:51:34] least

[00:51:34] yeah

[00:51:35] definitely

[00:51:35] thanks so much

[00:51:37] coffee and vodka

[00:51:37] on to our

[00:51:40] Facebook messages

[00:51:41] absolutely

[00:51:42] first up

[00:51:43] Heather Wallace

[00:51:43] says

[00:51:43] is it one

[00:51:44] episode a day

[00:51:45] oh I'm so

[00:51:46] excited

[00:51:47] this is the best

[00:51:48] Christmas present

[00:51:48] this was a fun

[00:51:50] episode

[00:51:50] although I was

[00:51:51] kind of hoping

[00:51:52] Agatha would

[00:51:52] smite Kingo

[00:51:53] during his

[00:51:54] we both just

[00:51:55] want to be

[00:51:55] seen monologue

[00:51:56] but oh well

[00:51:57] it was kind of

[00:51:58] sweet

[00:51:58] I love the art

[00:51:59] in this

[00:52:00] and it's even

[00:52:00] made the

[00:52:01] Eternals seem

[00:52:01] a bit relevant

[00:52:02] I really didn't

[00:52:03] enjoy the

[00:52:03] Eternals

[00:52:03] although I did

[00:52:04] like a couple

[00:52:04] of the characters

[00:52:05] good work

[00:52:06] what if

[00:52:07] you see

[00:52:08] if it turns

[00:52:09] more people

[00:52:09] on to watch

[00:52:10] in the

[00:52:10] Eternals

[00:52:10] that's another

[00:52:11] great thing

[00:52:11] exactly

[00:52:13] rewatching

[00:52:13] it

[00:52:13] yeah

[00:52:14] I did

[00:52:14] I did enjoy

[00:52:15] it

[00:52:15] I'm gonna

[00:52:16] do it

[00:52:17] tomorrow

[00:52:18] and

[00:52:18] that would

[00:52:19] be the fun

[00:52:19] thing

[00:52:19] absolutely

[00:52:20] and I

[00:52:21] totally

[00:52:21] agree

[00:52:21] with you

[00:52:22] Heather

[00:52:22] I think

[00:52:22] Agatha

[00:52:23] should have

[00:52:25] smited

[00:52:26] Kingo

[00:52:26] or at least

[00:52:27] a little

[00:52:28] slap around

[00:52:29] the face

[00:52:29] for that

[00:52:30] monologue

[00:52:30] absolutely

[00:52:31] absolutely

[00:52:32] the one

[00:52:33] thing I will

[00:52:33] say in a

[00:52:33] rewatch of

[00:52:34] the Eternals

[00:52:35] I don't know

[00:52:35] whether we

[00:52:35] even mentioned

[00:52:35] it when we

[00:52:36] did our

[00:52:36] review of

[00:52:36] the Eternals

[00:52:37] on our

[00:52:37] movies and

[00:52:38] TV podcast

[00:52:39] many years

[00:52:40] ago

[00:52:41] did we

[00:52:42] mention about

[00:52:42] the accents

[00:52:43] and how weird

[00:52:43] it is that

[00:52:44] everybody keeps

[00:52:45] their own

[00:52:45] accent even

[00:52:45] though they all

[00:52:46] came from

[00:52:46] the same ship

[00:52:47] that we have

[00:52:47] we have

[00:52:49] Icarus speaking

[00:52:49] with a

[00:52:49] Scottish accent

[00:52:50] and we have

[00:52:52] American accents

[00:52:53] we have Barry

[00:52:54] Kilham with his

[00:52:54] proper Dublin

[00:52:55] accent

[00:52:57] I could have

[00:52:58] changed the

[00:52:58] world lads

[00:52:59] if he just

[00:53:00] gave me the

[00:53:00] power I could

[00:53:01] have changed

[00:53:01] the world

[00:53:02] it's so

[00:53:02] different

[00:53:03] it's so weird

[00:53:03] having them all

[00:53:04] standing in the

[00:53:05] same room

[00:53:05] all speaking

[00:53:05] with weird

[00:53:06] amazing different

[00:53:07] accents

[00:53:07] he's been

[00:53:08] embedded in

[00:53:09] the black

[00:53:09] pool

[00:53:10] since the

[00:53:10] Vikings

[00:53:11] had founded

[00:53:11] it

[00:53:12] they would

[00:53:12] have that

[00:53:14] accent

[00:53:14] but he's

[00:53:16] been in

[00:53:16] the Mexican

[00:53:18] subtropical

[00:53:19] rainforest

[00:53:19] he brought

[00:53:21] the languages

[00:53:22] they brought

[00:53:23] the languages

[00:53:23] to the people

[00:53:25] they brought

[00:53:26] that accent

[00:53:27] to the people

[00:53:27] that's my head

[00:53:29] canon

[00:53:29] I think that

[00:53:30] was our

[00:53:31] theory on the

[00:53:31] podcast

[00:53:32] and I think

[00:53:32] John had the

[00:53:33] same argument

[00:53:34] so we're

[00:53:34] going to

[00:53:34] repeat the

[00:53:35] argument

[00:53:35] I think

[00:53:36] John had the

[00:53:36] same argument

[00:53:36] at the time

[00:53:37] they could

[00:53:37] have been

[00:53:38] those people

[00:53:39] that brought

[00:53:39] those accents

[00:53:40] but we never

[00:53:40] see them

[00:53:40] being in

[00:53:41] Scotland

[00:53:41] or in

[00:53:42] Ireland

[00:53:42] we see them

[00:53:43] being in

[00:53:43] Mexico

[00:53:44] and America

[00:53:45] and London

[00:53:47] anyway

[00:53:48] go watch

[00:53:49] Eternals

[00:53:50] it's a lot

[00:53:50] of fun

[00:53:50] it's on

[00:53:52] Disney Plus

[00:53:53] also on

[00:53:54] Facebook

[00:53:54] we had some

[00:53:55] feedback from

[00:53:55] Dr. Bob

[00:53:56] Phillips

[00:53:56] who had this

[00:53:57] to say

[00:53:57] what if we

[00:53:58] combine the

[00:53:59] arch camp

[00:54:00] of Agatha

[00:54:01] with the

[00:54:02] sparkly energy

[00:54:03] of Bollywood

[00:54:04] and the

[00:54:04] golden age

[00:54:05] of cinema

[00:54:05] and sprinkling

[00:54:06] a bit of

[00:54:07] cosmic magic

[00:54:08] would that

[00:54:09] be too much

[00:54:09] in my best

[00:54:11] hand impression

[00:54:11] not at all

[00:54:13] darling

[00:54:14] and that's

[00:54:15] my worst

[00:54:15] hand impression

[00:54:16] because it's

[00:54:16] the only one

[00:54:17] I got

[00:54:17] Dr. Bob

[00:54:18] went on to

[00:54:18] say

[00:54:18] this was

[00:54:20] much more

[00:54:21] my flavour

[00:54:22] than Stego

[00:54:22] Hulk

[00:54:23] and the

[00:54:23] Golems

[00:54:24] of Doom

[00:54:25] very happy

[00:54:26] to see

[00:54:26] King

[00:54:26] Go

[00:54:26] Back

[00:54:26] and Jeeves

[00:54:27] sorry

[00:54:27] Jarvis

[00:54:28] tripping

[00:54:29] exasperation

[00:54:30] and met

[00:54:30] a commentary

[00:54:31] in every

[00:54:32] line

[00:54:32] yes

[00:54:34] thanks Dr.

[00:54:34] Bob

[00:54:35] Stego

[00:54:36] Hulk

[00:54:36] and the

[00:54:36] Golems

[00:54:37] of Doom

[00:54:37] is a

[00:54:38] rock band

[00:54:39] I would

[00:54:39] listen to

[00:54:40] from the

[00:54:40] 80s

[00:54:41] just

[00:54:42] for the

[00:54:43] hell of

[00:54:43] it

[00:54:43] that could

[00:54:44] be a

[00:54:44] good one

[00:54:45] yeah

[00:54:45] but like

[00:54:46] the last

[00:54:46] episode

[00:54:46] of this

[00:54:47] season

[00:54:47] of

[00:54:47] what if

[00:54:47] is

[00:54:47] what if

[00:54:48] what if

[00:54:49] and I

[00:54:49] wonder

[00:54:49] if it

[00:54:49] should

[00:54:50] actually

[00:54:50] be called

[00:54:50] what if

[00:54:51] Stego

[00:54:51] Hulk

[00:54:51] met

[00:54:52] the

[00:54:52] Golems

[00:54:52] of Doom

[00:54:53] that

[00:54:54] would

[00:54:55] be so

[00:54:55] good

[00:54:57] that

[00:54:57] should

[00:54:58] be our

[00:54:59] that

[00:54:59] should

[00:55:00] be the

[00:55:00] new

[00:55:00] name

[00:55:00] for

[00:55:01] the

[00:55:01] pub

[00:55:01] quiz

[00:55:03] the

[00:55:04] Golems

[00:55:04] of Doom

[00:55:05] I just

[00:55:06] you could

[00:55:06] do so

[00:55:07] much

[00:55:07] with it

[00:55:08] like

[00:55:08] just

[00:55:08] think

[00:55:09] it's

[00:55:09] almost

[00:55:09] like

[00:55:10] Gwar

[00:55:11] we need

[00:55:12] to have

[00:55:12] a phone

[00:55:12] call

[00:55:13] Dr.

[00:55:13] Bob

[00:55:14] we need

[00:55:14] to have

[00:55:14] a phone

[00:55:15] call

[00:55:16] you might

[00:55:16] have to

[00:55:17] trademark

[00:55:17] anything

[00:55:18] he sends

[00:55:18] into us

[00:55:18] in the

[00:55:18] future

[00:55:19] great

[00:55:19] stuff

[00:55:20] thanks

[00:55:20] Dr.

[00:55:20] Bob

[00:55:20] yeah

[00:55:21] thanks

[00:55:21] so much

[00:55:22] Dr.

[00:55:22] Bob

[00:55:22] Lindsay

[00:55:23] Lawas

[00:55:24] says

[00:55:25] your

[00:55:25] passive

[00:55:26] yet

[00:55:26] highly

[00:55:26] enthusiastic

[00:55:27] listener

[00:55:28] is back

[00:55:28] more than

[00:55:29] happy to

[00:55:30] be able

[00:55:30] to support

[00:55:30] the show

[00:55:31] in any

[00:55:31] way I

[00:55:31] can

[00:55:32] still

[00:55:32] very much

[00:55:33] enjoying

[00:55:33] your coverage

[00:55:34] of shows

[00:55:35] as per

[00:55:35] usual

[00:55:36] and eagerly

[00:55:37] awaiting

[00:55:37] your thoughts

[00:55:38] and our

[00:55:39] fellow

[00:55:39] defenders

[00:55:40] it's a

[00:55:41] bit

[00:55:42] bittersweet

[00:55:42] to have

[00:55:43] what if

[00:55:43] return

[00:55:44] for its

[00:55:44] third

[00:55:44] but

[00:55:45] final

[00:55:45] season

[00:55:45] but the

[00:55:46] first two

[00:55:46] episodes

[00:55:47] have been

[00:55:47] both solid

[00:55:48] and enjoyable

[00:55:48] thus far

[00:55:49] I really

[00:55:50] miss these

[00:55:51] creative

[00:55:51] standalone

[00:55:51] stories

[00:55:52] that mixes

[00:55:53] and matches

[00:55:53] familiar

[00:55:54] MCU

[00:55:55] story beats

[00:55:56] it's like

[00:55:56] fan fiction

[00:55:57] come to

[00:55:58] life

[00:55:58] and as a

[00:55:59] hobbyist

[00:56:00] fanfic

[00:56:00] reader

[00:56:01] you may

[00:56:01] dabble into

[00:56:02] writing too

[00:56:03] on occasion

[00:56:03] but also

[00:56:04] tend to

[00:56:05] daydream

[00:56:05] my own

[00:56:06] stories

[00:56:06] beyond the

[00:56:07] stuff I

[00:56:07] watch

[00:56:08] what if

[00:56:08] is a

[00:56:09] testament

[00:56:09] of creativity

[00:56:10] in so

[00:56:11] many ways

[00:56:12] massive

[00:56:13] cheers

[00:56:14] to the

[00:56:14] cast and

[00:56:15] crew

[00:56:15] for their

[00:56:15] work

[00:56:16] and an

[00:56:16] equally

[00:56:16] massive

[00:56:17] cheers

[00:56:17] to all

[00:56:18] of us

[00:56:19] in our

[00:56:19] cosy

[00:56:20] tvpi

[00:56:21] community

[00:56:22] thanks

[00:56:23] lindsey

[00:56:23] yeah

[00:56:24] thanks so

[00:56:24] much

[00:56:25] lindsey

[00:56:25] and yeah

[00:56:26] i think

[00:56:26] great to

[00:56:28] get feedback

[00:56:29] as always

[00:56:30] really

[00:56:30] pleased

[00:56:31] you're

[00:56:31] enjoying

[00:56:32] the tv

[00:56:33] podcast

[00:56:33] industries

[00:56:34] community

[00:56:35] our

[00:56:36] cosy

[00:56:37] little

[00:56:37] fire

[00:56:38] is

[00:56:39] of a

[00:56:39] podcast

[00:56:40] absolutely

[00:56:40] is good

[00:56:41] hang out

[00:56:42] with us

[00:56:42] chat

[00:56:42] about

[00:56:43] tv

[00:56:44] and totally

[00:56:45] agree

[00:56:45] you know

[00:56:45] it's

[00:56:46] it's nice

[00:56:46] to get

[00:56:47] these kind

[00:56:47] of standalone

[00:56:48] but also

[00:56:49] you know

[00:56:49] they do

[00:56:50] kind of

[00:56:50] hopefully

[00:56:50] come into

[00:56:51] a singular

[00:56:53] story arc

[00:56:54] but it's

[00:56:55] great to

[00:56:56] have that

[00:56:57] central

[00:56:57] conceit

[00:56:58] of what

[00:56:59] if

[00:56:59] you know

[00:57:00] to provide

[00:57:01] those creative

[00:57:02] juices

[00:57:02] like the

[00:57:03] big thing

[00:57:03] you know

[00:57:04] we talked

[00:57:04] about it

[00:57:04] many times

[00:57:05] over the course

[00:57:05] of the three

[00:57:06] seasons

[00:57:06] of what

[00:57:06] if

[00:57:06] you know

[00:57:07] the what

[00:57:07] if

[00:57:07] comics

[00:57:07] were

[00:57:07] absolutely

[00:57:08] throw

[00:57:08] away

[00:57:09] it was

[00:57:09] somebody

[00:57:09] literally

[00:57:10] sitting down

[00:57:11] and going

[00:57:11] oh

[00:57:12] what if

[00:57:12] Sergeant

[00:57:13] Fury

[00:57:13] in the

[00:57:13] hell

[00:57:13] and commandos

[00:57:14] fought in

[00:57:14] space

[00:57:15] oh right

[00:57:15] that would

[00:57:16] be cool

[00:57:16] that would

[00:57:16] be really

[00:57:16] interesting

[00:57:17] in the

[00:57:18] MCU

[00:57:18] we've had

[00:57:19] the whole

[00:57:20] 20 years

[00:57:21] now

[00:57:22] where it's

[00:57:22] all connected

[00:57:23] everything has

[00:57:24] a knock on

[00:57:24] impact on

[00:57:25] something else

[00:57:25] so it

[00:57:26] allows them

[00:57:26] to be a

[00:57:27] little bit

[00:57:28] extra

[00:57:28] creative

[00:57:28] when you

[00:57:29] get into

[00:57:29] what if

[00:57:29] because it

[00:57:30] doesn't have

[00:57:30] to have a

[00:57:30] big knock on

[00:57:31] impact on

[00:57:32] the rest

[00:57:32] of the

[00:57:32] universe

[00:57:33] the rest

[00:57:33] of the

[00:57:33] MCU

[00:57:34] they can

[00:57:34] have a

[00:57:34] lot of

[00:57:35] fun

[00:57:35] they can

[00:57:35] play around

[00:57:36] with the

[00:57:36] characters

[00:57:36] put them

[00:57:36] in different

[00:57:37] situations

[00:57:37] and then

[00:57:38] yes

[00:57:38] okay

[00:57:38] it may

[00:57:38] have a

[00:57:39] knock on

[00:57:39] impact

[00:57:39] on the

[00:57:41] what if

[00:57:41] season

[00:57:42] but it

[00:57:42] doesn't have

[00:57:43] to have a

[00:57:43] knock on

[00:57:43] impact

[00:57:44] on the

[00:57:44] MCU

[00:57:44] in

[00:57:45] totality

[00:57:45] which gives

[00:57:46] them a bit

[00:57:46] more freedom

[00:57:48] to have a bit

[00:57:48] of fun

[00:57:48] in this

[00:57:49] world

[00:57:49] which is

[00:57:50] great

[00:57:50] enjoyable

[00:57:51] for

[00:57:51] in the same

[00:57:52] way that

[00:57:52] a fanfic

[00:57:53] writer

[00:57:53] doesn't have

[00:57:53] to worry

[00:57:54] about the

[00:57:54] knock on

[00:57:54] impact

[00:57:55] in the

[00:57:55] universe

[00:57:56] they can

[00:57:56] play and

[00:57:57] have a bit

[00:57:57] of fun

[00:57:57] and look

[00:57:59] you end

[00:57:59] up getting

[00:58:00] big

[00:58:00] resurgence

[00:58:01] of

[00:58:02] characters

[00:58:02] so

[00:58:03] agent

[00:58:03] carter

[00:58:04] became

[00:58:05] captain

[00:58:06] carter

[00:58:06] and obviously

[00:58:07] she was in

[00:58:07] the comic

[00:58:08] books

[00:58:08] and exiles

[00:58:09] but then

[00:58:10] crossed over

[00:58:11] into the

[00:58:12] what if

[00:58:12] and became

[00:58:13] such a

[00:58:13] had such a

[00:58:14] resurgence

[00:58:15] because of

[00:58:15] what if

[00:58:16] that they put

[00:58:17] her into

[00:58:17] dr.

[00:58:18] strange

[00:58:18] and the

[00:58:18] multiverse

[00:58:18] of madness

[00:58:19] exactly

[00:58:19] and now

[00:58:20] again

[00:58:21] supposedly

[00:58:22] coming back

[00:58:23] for the

[00:58:23] doom saga

[00:58:24] the battle

[00:58:24] yeah

[00:58:25] a lot

[00:58:25] fun and

[00:58:25] games

[00:58:26] that we're

[00:58:26] getting

[00:58:26] and then

[00:58:27] you look

[00:58:27] at

[00:58:27] hori

[00:58:28] who was

[00:58:29] the

[00:58:29] native

[00:58:29] american

[00:58:30] superhero

[00:58:31] that we

[00:58:31] found

[00:58:32] that

[00:58:33] is now

[00:58:34] has gained

[00:58:34] so much

[00:58:35] popularity

[00:58:35] has entered

[00:58:36] the comics

[00:58:36] and supposedly

[00:58:38] might be

[00:58:39] entering

[00:58:39] live action

[00:58:40] some point

[00:58:41] in the future

[00:58:41] she may

[00:58:42] yeah

[00:58:42] would be great

[00:58:43] absolutely

[00:58:43] yeah

[00:58:44] and even

[00:58:45] agatha

[00:58:45] i mean

[00:58:46] when you

[00:58:46] think about

[00:58:46] absolutely

[00:58:47] yeah

[00:58:47] yeah

[00:58:48] she's

[00:58:48] now

[00:58:48] absolutely

[00:58:49] massive

[00:58:49] because of

[00:58:50] of

[00:58:50] katherine

[00:58:51] hahn

[00:58:51] yeah

[00:58:52] i should

[00:58:52] mention

[00:58:53] of course

[00:58:53] chris

[00:58:53] since you

[00:58:54] mentioned

[00:58:54] khori

[00:58:54] i know

[00:58:55] you weren't

[00:58:55] here for

[00:58:55] her first

[00:58:55] episode

[00:58:56] so you

[00:58:56] didn't

[00:58:56] hear

[00:58:56] ryan

[00:58:57] little

[00:58:57] who wrote

[00:58:58] this episode

[00:58:58] or co-wrote

[00:58:59] this episode

[00:58:59] and wrote

[00:59:00] the first

[00:59:00] episode

[00:59:00] is the

[00:59:01] writer of

[00:59:01] the khori

[00:59:02] comic

[00:59:02] and wrote

[00:59:02] the khori

[00:59:03] episode

[00:59:03] of season

[00:59:04] season two

[00:59:05] as well

[00:59:05] so he's

[00:59:06] the one

[00:59:06] that introduced

[00:59:07] her into the

[00:59:07] marvel comics

[00:59:08] and was one

[00:59:09] of the writers

[00:59:09] on the

[00:59:09] on the introduction

[00:59:11] in what if

[00:59:11] as well

[00:59:12] so he's

[00:59:13] had a

[00:59:13] he has a

[00:59:14] big part

[00:59:15] to play

[00:59:15] and the

[00:59:15] writing

[00:59:16] staff

[00:59:16] for

[00:59:16] what if

[00:59:17] which

[00:59:17] is

[00:59:17] cool

[00:59:17] love

[00:59:18] that

[00:59:18] it's

[00:59:18] very cool

[00:59:19] excellent

[00:59:20] stuff

[00:59:20] thanks so

[00:59:21] much

[00:59:21] lindsey

[00:59:21] and again

[00:59:21] as always

[00:59:22] thanks for

[00:59:22] your support

[00:59:23] and really

[00:59:23] hoping you're

[00:59:24] enjoying your

[00:59:24] time with

[00:59:25] us in the

[00:59:26] cozy d tv pi

[00:59:28] community as well

[00:59:29] thank you

[00:59:29] we also got a

[00:59:31] piece of feedback

[00:59:31] in from joe

[00:59:32] herbers who

[00:59:33] says now

[00:59:33] that's

[00:59:34] entertainment

[00:59:35] i really

[00:59:36] enjoyed this

[00:59:36] one excellent

[00:59:37] voice acting

[00:59:37] from the

[00:59:38] main four

[00:59:38] stars this

[00:59:39] time too

[00:59:39] great stuff

[00:59:40] joe

[00:59:41] it's just

[00:59:41] great to

[00:59:41] hear them

[00:59:42] all back

[00:59:43] together

[00:59:43] really

[00:59:43] wasn't it

[00:59:43] particularly

[00:59:44] i suppose

[00:59:45] having those

[00:59:46] two major

[00:59:47] cast members

[00:59:48] Dominic

[00:59:48] Cooper and

[00:59:49] James

[00:59:50] Darcy

[00:59:50] back from

[00:59:50] Agent

[00:59:51] Carter

[00:59:51] playing around

[00:59:53] in this

[00:59:54] world

[00:59:54] with Catherine

[00:59:55] Han and

[00:59:55] with Camille

[00:59:56] Ninjani

[00:59:57] they just seem

[00:59:58] to be having

[00:59:59] a lot of

[00:59:59] fun

[00:59:59] i know

[01:00:00] most of

[01:00:00] these

[01:00:00] sessions

[01:00:01] aren't

[01:00:01] even

[01:00:01] recorded

[01:00:01] together

[01:00:02] and so

[01:00:02] they just

[01:00:03] seem to be

[01:00:04] enjoying

[01:00:04] themselves

[01:00:05] in the

[01:00:05] voice work

[01:00:06] so

[01:00:06] great

[01:00:06] it's

[01:00:07] really

[01:00:07] good

[01:00:07] isn't it

[01:00:08] yeah

[01:00:08] thank you

[01:00:08] so much

[01:00:09] fellow

[01:00:09] defenders

[01:00:09] for the

[01:00:10] feedback

[01:00:11] and thoughts

[01:00:12] observations

[01:00:12] theories

[01:00:13] you name it

[01:00:14] all good

[01:00:15] stuff

[01:00:15] keep your

[01:00:35] on these

[01:00:38] also

[01:00:38] of course

[01:00:39] it would

[01:00:40] be

[01:00:40] remiss of

[01:00:41] me

[01:00:41] not to

[01:00:42] say

[01:00:42] as well

[01:00:43] not only

[01:00:44] to subscribe

[01:00:54] or even

[01:00:55] just

[01:00:55] regular

[01:00:55] beings

[01:00:55] or even

[01:00:56] just

[01:00:56] regular

[01:00:57] beings

[01:00:57] anybody

[01:00:57] with

[01:00:57] headphones

[01:00:58] or without

[01:00:58] in fact

[01:00:59] that might

[01:00:59] be better

[01:01:00] for sure

[01:01:01] because of

[01:01:02] course

[01:01:02] sharing the

[01:01:04] is

[01:01:18] absolutely

[01:01:19] we should

[01:01:19] say as we

[01:01:20] said earlier

[01:01:21] on we are

[01:01:21] taking a break

[01:01:22] so we should

[01:01:22] say a big

[01:01:23] happy christmas

[01:01:23] and happy

[01:01:24] holidays to

[01:01:24] everybody who

[01:01:25] celebrates

[01:01:25] anybody's

[01:01:26] having a bit

[01:01:26] of time off

[01:01:27] you're having

[01:01:27] time with

[01:01:27] your family

[01:01:28] with friends

[01:01:28] on your own

[01:01:29] watching great

[01:01:30] movies

[01:01:30] spending some

[01:01:31] time at

[01:01:32] home

[01:01:32] hopefully you

[01:01:33] enjoy your

[01:01:33] time

[01:01:34] absolutely

[01:01:34] so big

[01:01:35] happy holidays

[01:01:36] to everybody

[01:01:36] yeah

[01:01:36] it's a perfect

[01:01:37] time to

[01:01:38] binge all 10

[01:01:39] years of the

[01:01:40] mcu

[01:01:41] it's perfect

[01:01:42] time just

[01:01:43] have it going

[01:01:43] in the

[01:01:43] background

[01:01:44] isn't there

[01:01:45] isn't there

[01:01:46] a whole

[01:01:46] one where you

[01:01:47] can literally

[01:01:48] watch

[01:01:49] iron man

[01:01:49] 3

[01:01:49] write down

[01:01:50] and it

[01:01:51] starts snowing

[01:01:52] at the exact

[01:01:53] moment of

[01:01:53] new year's

[01:01:54] and things

[01:01:55] like that

[01:01:55] yeah i'm sure

[01:01:56] we watched

[01:01:57] that recently

[01:01:58] iron man

[01:01:58] 3

[01:01:58] because that's

[01:01:59] all marvel

[01:02:00] christmas

[01:02:00] movies

[01:02:01] for sure

[01:02:03] if it takes

[01:02:05] three hours

[01:02:05] for you to

[01:02:06] wrap presents

[01:02:07] like it does

[01:02:07] me

[01:02:07] well then

[01:02:09] have it on

[01:02:10] in the

[01:02:10] background

[01:02:10] exactly

[01:02:11] or you can

[01:02:12] catch up on

[01:02:12] 10 years of

[01:02:13] tv podcast

[01:02:14] industries

[01:02:14] podcast

[01:02:15] so you can

[01:02:15] just put

[01:02:15] an earpod

[01:02:16] in one ear

[01:02:17] nobody can

[01:02:17] see it

[01:02:17] and just

[01:02:18] listen to

[01:02:18] tv podcast

[01:02:19] industries

[01:02:19] for the

[01:02:19] next couple

[01:02:20] of weeks

[01:02:20] there's enough

[01:02:21] episodes out

[01:02:22] there

[01:02:22] what were you

[01:02:24] 889 i think

[01:02:25] it is at the

[01:02:25] moment

[01:02:25] yeah

[01:02:26] something like

[01:02:27] that

[01:02:27] somewhere around

[01:02:27] that

[01:02:27] but as i

[01:02:28] said we are

[01:02:29] taking a break

[01:02:30] for a couple

[01:02:30] of days

[01:02:30] while we

[01:02:31] recover and

[01:02:32] spend some time

[01:02:33] with our

[01:02:33] families and

[01:02:34] i guess

[01:02:35] get my

[01:02:35] voices back

[01:02:36] get all of our

[01:02:36] voices back

[01:02:37] yeah as well

[01:02:38] so the next

[01:02:39] episode that's

[01:02:40] coming up

[01:02:40] tomorrow

[01:02:40] when i'm

[01:02:40] really excited

[01:02:41] about what if

[01:02:42] episode three

[01:02:43] of season

[01:02:43] three is

[01:02:44] what if

[01:02:44] the red

[01:02:45] guardian

[01:02:45] stopped the

[01:02:46] winter soldier

[01:02:47] oh nice

[01:02:48] that's an

[01:02:48] interesting one

[01:02:49] i know the

[01:02:49] red guardian

[01:02:49] bragged that

[01:02:50] he fought

[01:02:50] against captain

[01:02:51] america in

[01:02:52] the 80s which

[01:02:52] we all know

[01:02:53] was a lie

[01:02:54] because captain

[01:02:55] america was on

[01:02:55] ice in the

[01:02:55] 80s i wonder

[01:02:56] would this be

[01:02:57] 80s set and he

[01:02:57] goes up against

[01:02:58] the winter soldier

[01:02:58] yeah it could be

[01:02:59] or will it be

[01:03:00] later um after

[01:03:01] bucky is uh is

[01:03:03] traveling in the

[01:03:03] world or is it

[01:03:04] not bucky is it

[01:03:05] the winter soldier

[01:03:06] lots of interesting

[01:03:07] possibilities in

[01:03:08] there as well

[01:03:08] so that should be

[01:03:09] fun that's

[01:03:09] tomorrow's episode

[01:03:10] or given it's

[01:03:11] christmas eve does

[01:03:12] that is the red

[01:03:13] guardian sort of

[01:03:14] code for santa

[01:03:16] claus david harbour

[01:03:18] playing santa claus

[01:03:19] again again

[01:03:20] that was such a

[01:03:22] good film it was

[01:03:23] such a good film

[01:03:24] it was really good

[01:03:25] yeah he was great

[01:03:25] as santa in

[01:03:26] violent night

[01:03:27] that was a great

[01:03:28] movie that chris

[01:03:29] yeah yeah yeah

[01:03:30] no he's a good

[01:03:30] he's a he's a good

[01:03:31] all-rounder he is

[01:03:33] he really is yeah

[01:03:34] and of course um

[01:03:36] for christmas day

[01:03:37] uh you can unpack

[01:03:39] well you can

[01:03:40] unpack something

[01:03:41] as howard the duck

[01:03:43] gets hitched

[01:03:44] what if howard the

[01:03:46] duck got hitched

[01:03:47] um i am assuming

[01:03:49] i will hate this

[01:03:50] but i am open to

[01:03:52] being pleasantly

[01:03:52] surprised

[01:03:53] well it's finally

[01:03:54] closing out the

[01:03:55] story that's been

[01:03:56] going on for the

[01:03:56] last two seasons

[01:03:57] with him and

[01:03:57] darcy um

[01:03:58] yeah who've been

[01:03:59] getting together

[01:04:00] uh so uh howard

[01:04:02] the duck getting

[01:04:02] uh getting married

[01:04:03] to another human

[01:04:04] i can't wait

[01:04:05] it's darcy

[01:04:06] she's back

[01:04:07] darcy i love

[01:04:08] howard the duck

[01:04:09] is better with

[01:04:10] orange and

[01:04:12] let's just say

[01:04:13] what you really

[01:04:14] mean is howard the

[01:04:15] duck doesn't deserve

[01:04:15] darcy is what you're

[01:04:16] really saying john

[01:04:17] well let's find out

[01:04:18] there is a question

[01:04:19] mark after that

[01:04:21] hitch that's true

[01:04:22] that is true and

[01:04:23] then for st stephen's

[01:04:24] day we have uh

[01:04:26] what if the

[01:04:27] emergence destroyed

[01:04:28] the earth all that

[01:04:30] christmas hope

[01:04:30] destroyed absolutely

[01:04:32] absolutely excellent as

[01:04:33] it should be the day

[01:04:35] after christmas what

[01:04:36] if the earth got

[01:04:37] destroyed excellent

[01:04:38] stuff after you've

[01:04:39] done all that

[01:04:40] dying with your

[01:04:41] family there you

[01:04:42] go this is the

[01:04:43] present you get

[01:04:44] you are a husk of

[01:04:46] your former self
