Invincible 405 "Give Us A Moment" Synopsis

Created by: Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, Cory Walker

Episode Written by: Adria Lang

Directed by: Sol Choi

Allen and Nolan discuss the situation with Mark, and he reluctantly agrees to join the Coalition's war against the Viltrumites.

A remorseful Nolan also apologizes to Debbie, who angrily rejects him, frustrated that he doesn't really understand what he's done.

On a lead from the Geldarian army. Allen tracks down Zoe Thompson aka Tech Jacket, she quickly agrees to join their cause. When Oliver learns of the plan he insists on going along as well.

After saying goodbye to Eve, Debbie and Paul, Mark and Oliver join Nolan, Allen, and Zoe aboard their ship, and the team departs for Talescria.

On their way there, however, their vessel is ambushed by a Viltrumite cruiser commanded by Conquest and two other Viltrumites, Lucan and Kradd.

A chaotic battle ensues, culminating in a one-on-one fight between Mark and Conquest. Mark is disemboweled by Conquest, but finally manages to kill him by strangling him to death.

Nolan and Oliver find Conquest and Mark’s broken bodies, while Zoe and Allen hide on the exterior of the Viltrumite ship as Lucan and Kradd continue to search for them.

01:56 --> 02:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we were kind of we were saying last episode that wasn't the greatest episode of the season so far and then to be followed up with this one, hey,

02:32 --> 02:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's going to be Christmas.
02:33 --> 02:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Glory.
02:34 --> 02:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Glory.
02:35 --> 02:42 [SPEAKER_02]: But I want to jump in and just very quickly kind of go through the usual Rick and Roll.
02:42 --> 02:48 [SPEAKER_02]: So Derek, do you want to tell us who gave us what where when and how with all the episode details?
02:48 --> 02:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Because
02:49 --> 02:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Some people deserve a random class.
02:51 --> 02:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, many, many people do.
02:53 --> 03:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, the show is based on the comic series written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Cory Walker and Ryan Otley, a show developed by Robert Kirkman and produced by Robert Kirkman David Albert, Catherine Winder, Simon O'Cyapah, Margaret M. Dean, Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg.
03:07 --> 03:14 [SPEAKER_01]: This episode was directed by Saul Choy, who directed many episodes of Invincible, and the episode was written by Adria Lang,
03:14 --> 03:38 [SPEAKER_01]: There's the second episode of Invincible that she's written after a season two episode three this miss of this Macdonation which told her Alan's planet was attacked and had Mark go to threxia so um to a massive episode That she wrote in the past um another massive one here right Yeah Chris do you want to tell us what they gave us with the synopsis for Invincible season four episode five give us a moment
03:40 --> 03:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Alan and Nolan discussed the situation when Mark and he reluctantly agrees to join the coalition's war against the Vultimence.
03:49 --> 03:56 [SPEAKER_02]: A remorseful Nolan also apologizes to Debbie, who angrily rejects him frustrated that he doesn't really understand what he's done.
03:56 --> 04:04 [SPEAKER_02]: I'll leave from the killed area in army, Alan tracks down Zoe Thompson, aka techjacket.
04:05 --> 04:11 [SPEAKER_02]: who quickly agrees to join their cause, when Oliver learns of the plan he insists on going into space as well.
04:12 --> 04:21 [SPEAKER_02]: After saying goodbye to Eve Debian Paul, Mark and Oliver joined Nolan Allen and Zoe aboard the ship, and the team departs for Telasquia.
04:21 --> 04:31 [SPEAKER_02]: On their way there, however, the vessel is ambushed by a Vultimite cruiser commanded by Conquest and two other Vultimites,
04:31 --> 04:43 [SPEAKER_02]: A chaotic battle in series culminating in a woman-one fight between Mark and Conquest, Mark is disemboweled by Conquest but finally manages to kill him by strangling him to death.
04:45 --> 04:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Nolan Oliver finds Conquest and Mark's broken bodies while Zoe and Alan hide on the exterior of the Voldemort ship as Luke and a crowd continues their search for them.
04:58 --> 05:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, broken body's galomer, yeah, in this episode.
05:03 --> 05:27 [SPEAKER_02]: So let's go straight in to our points because this episode, I'm going to jump into one part of it and our point is Nolan's apology toy and while there are some other bits of that we can get into at the market and Oliver and et cetera and all that, I really want to
05:28 --> 05:36 [SPEAKER_02]: Nolan's discussion and his dialogue with Debbie or his monologue at first.
05:37 --> 05:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Then it becomes a dialogue because this is some of the best writing.
05:42 --> 05:50 [SPEAKER_02]: I see in New Hampshire we've talked and we've talked a lot for our dead 12 years podcast.
05:51 --> 05:56 [SPEAKER_02]: And this for me was a beautifully written
05:56 --> 06:24 [SPEAKER_02]: dialogue by about a villain almost trying to apologize and trying to get across his his remorse for what he did and then having the victim fully dismiss and kind of trying remind that person that like they don't accept the apology that they don't they have no right
06:24 --> 06:26 [SPEAKER_02]: it's so raw.
06:27 --> 06:32 [SPEAKER_02]: So from one aspect you have a very raw emotional vulnerable Nolan.
06:32 --> 06:39 [SPEAKER_02]: But then you have this angry emotional Debbie, who breaks a wrist?
06:39 --> 06:45 [SPEAKER_02]: It's smashing it against Nolan, who she knows, like that was just pure emotion.
06:45 --> 06:49 [SPEAKER_02]: But my god, just such a scene, it's like so beautiful.
06:50 --> 06:56 [SPEAKER_02]: And again, beautiful in this delivery and emotion that it in a animated show.
06:56 --> 06:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
06:57 --> 06:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
06:57 --> 07:01 [SPEAKER_01]: I just think, Sandra, it just does an absolutely brilliant job here in JK Simmons.
07:02 --> 07:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Once again, always brings it to his role as Omni Man.
07:06 --> 07:09 [SPEAKER_01]: What I love about it is kind of the on-sad pieces.
07:10 --> 07:14 [SPEAKER_01]: He's saying every single word, he's delivering them with emotion.
07:14 --> 07:16 [SPEAKER_01]: He already had his apology to Mark outside.
07:16 --> 07:27 [SPEAKER_01]: And all he really had to say to Mark was, well, at least something good came out of it when he's explaining to him about the fact that he actually just went around the universe in prednating different women on different planets.
07:27 --> 07:30 [SPEAKER_01]: And then was going to a laures to be taken over by the Viltramites.
07:31 --> 07:34 [SPEAKER_01]: He just says at least something good came out of it.
07:34 --> 07:36 [SPEAKER_01]: balanced again, right?
07:36 --> 07:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Because he thought Nolan was dead, whereas with Debbie, she can feel he's just saying words.
07:42 --> 07:52 [SPEAKER_01]: The fact that Nolan says, I know there are no words that could possibly convey my true feeling to you, but I just want to say, I'm sorry, and Debbie's like, well, you've said it now.
07:52 --> 07:53 [SPEAKER_01]: What is that you want to hear?
07:53 --> 07:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I just want to say, I'm sorry, you've said it.
07:56 --> 07:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Why are you still here?
07:57 --> 07:58 [SPEAKER_01]: What do you expect?
07:58 --> 08:00 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, she is never going to
08:00 --> 08:02 [SPEAKER_01]: say that's okay.
08:03 --> 08:03 [SPEAKER_01]: He's killed people.
08:04 --> 08:05 [SPEAKER_01]: He's left her behind.
08:05 --> 08:08 [SPEAKER_01]: He's treated her children, awfully.
08:09 --> 08:19 [SPEAKER_01]: It felt like a grace retort to those cheating men who come back to their wives after cheating and go, well, I'm sorry baby, I love you.
08:19 --> 08:27 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, one day because you left me, you say you love me, and two weeks later you're having a child with somebody else.
08:28 --> 08:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I didn't really love her.
08:29 --> 08:32 [SPEAKER_01]: It was that supposed to make me feel better about it.
08:32 --> 08:38 [SPEAKER_01]: That makes you mix me hate you even more that you would leave the planet go off with somebody else, have a child with them.
08:39 --> 08:40 [SPEAKER_01]: And now I'm taking care of Oliver.
08:40 --> 08:44 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm have been this wonderful child, and you're telling me that you didn't even love his mother.
08:44 --> 08:47 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, um, absolutely perfectly played, but I don't know.
08:48 --> 08:49 [SPEAKER_01]: It's not just anger.
08:50 --> 08:52 [SPEAKER_01]: It's that feeling of,
08:52 --> 09:01 [SPEAKER_01]: knowledge in what she's saying and pure hatred of this man that thinks he's able to get kind of away with anything because he's 2 years old that's super parrot, yeah.
09:01 --> 09:03 [SPEAKER_02]: The delivery of the line.
09:03 --> 09:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Am I still your pet?
09:05 --> 09:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so brilliant.
09:06 --> 09:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Just like, it's under oh.
09:12 --> 09:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was just, it was one of those, I could picture her as she said that and I I've liked her in kidney.
09:20 --> 09:23 [SPEAKER_02]: I was like, no, I loved her in kidney.
09:23 --> 09:25 [SPEAKER_02]: She was fine for me in Grey's Anatomy.
09:25 --> 09:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I never watch much of it.
09:27 --> 09:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Watch the first season or something.
09:28 --> 09:31 [SPEAKER_02]: So great then perfect in kidney.
09:31 --> 09:39 [SPEAKER_02]: But you can see it, but I could see her embody this and I could see her in
09:40 --> 09:40 [SPEAKER_02]: And you're right.
09:40 --> 09:47 [SPEAKER_02]: It is a, it is a, it is a, it is a anthem.
09:47 --> 10:00 [SPEAKER_02]: If you will, two women who have been cheated on by men and who many think they can come back and sometimes they're super parents, money or stability, family, kids, like it is that and it's like, no, no, no, no, that's not that.
10:00 --> 10:02 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, exactly.
10:02 --> 10:08 [SPEAKER_02]: And we know it works because when Nolan goes, he doesn't
10:08 --> 10:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Rocket, he does the, and it's because you can see that even he is, I wouldn't say disgusted way themselves.
10:19 --> 10:21 [SPEAKER_02]: Like he thought it was going to go a different way.
10:21 --> 10:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
10:22 --> 10:34 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I think that's that's the thing and you hear that later on with Alan when Nolan's standing on the ship waiting
10:34 --> 10:41 [SPEAKER_01]: What has taken so long, Alan goes, oh, I know this went differently than the way you thought it was going to, what you gave Mark the time you need to leave him to do it.
10:42 --> 10:50 [SPEAKER_01]: And that's all it seems to be for know and he thinks, if I say all these words, I'll be forgiven and then I can continue about what I did before, you know.
10:50 --> 10:59 [SPEAKER_01]: He isn't human, obviously he is built from ice, they believe they get what's given to them and they take what isn't given to them.
10:59 --> 11:08 [SPEAKER_01]: And he seems to think the only thing he's learned to be in human is if he says the right word, he'll also get what he wants, and what he thinks he deserves.
11:08 --> 11:10 [SPEAKER_01]: And Debbie says, tell him, no, that's not how this works.
11:11 --> 11:13 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure you are a poor imitation of human.
11:13 --> 11:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a poor painting of what you think a human is, but you're not human.
11:17 --> 11:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, love it.
11:18 --> 11:19 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely love it.
11:19 --> 11:19 [SPEAKER_01]: And then.
11:20 --> 11:25 [SPEAKER_02]: We opened our episode with the discussion with ours, the ending with ours.
11:25 --> 11:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Because you see two aspects of it.
11:28 --> 11:33 [SPEAKER_02]: You see them share a beer and reminisce and talk about things.
11:33 --> 11:35 [SPEAKER_02]: And it is what we saw prior.
11:36 --> 11:37 [SPEAKER_02]: It's very first couple of episodes.
11:37 --> 11:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
11:38 --> 11:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
11:38 --> 11:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Where it is that banter between two friends.
11:41 --> 11:43 [SPEAKER_01]: And we'll see.
11:43 --> 11:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Very specifically when I love about the dialogue that's written
11:49 --> 11:54 [SPEAKER_01]: is he reacts to what Nolan's saying, but does not respond to Nolan anyway.
11:55 --> 11:57 [SPEAKER_01]: So Nolan says, I've changed.
11:58 --> 12:00 [SPEAKER_01]: And Art says, good.
12:00 --> 12:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Not, I've noticed or that's great or anything like that.
12:04 --> 12:06 [SPEAKER_01]: He's telling him it's good that Nolan's changed.
12:06 --> 12:08 [SPEAKER_01]: But he's not willing to accept him as a friend again.
12:08 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_01]: This is not a friendship.
12:10 --> 12:16 [SPEAKER_01]: This is no lint told me I have to be on the roof to have a beer with him like the old days so I will pretend that that's what I'm eager to do.
12:16 --> 12:20 [SPEAKER_01]: But he quickly gets rid of him quickly tells him he's shut down.
12:20 --> 12:25 [SPEAKER_01]: His akin to which means he's no longer going to make superhero suits because this guy's no longer hero.
12:25 --> 12:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, you absolutely love it.
12:27 --> 12:34 [SPEAKER_01]: And then when Nolan again ejected flies away just seeing our drop that moment of
12:34 --> 12:45 [SPEAKER_01]: as if he was just terrified the whole time because he was being forced to listen to what Nolan wanted him to listen to this fake apology or this maybe fake apology.
12:45 --> 12:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's not fake, it will sound fake after what he's done to this blouse, right?
12:50 --> 12:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah and I think that's the thing like it's not until I
12:56 --> 13:04 [SPEAKER_02]: did not really cough that until, well, first I saw that what I thought was just dejection in that art going.
13:04 --> 13:06 [SPEAKER_02]: I only made here costumes for Hero.
13:06 --> 13:07 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
13:07 --> 13:09 [SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh, that, that, that, that tracks makes sense.
13:10 --> 13:19 [SPEAKER_02]: It's only when he does known goes and you see art collapsing himself like panting because it is pure adrenaline fear.
13:19 --> 13:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
13:20 --> 13:22 [SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh, this is cool.
13:23 --> 13:39 [SPEAKER_01]: because he doesn't know what no one's gonna do, he's like no one, it's just as possible he will punch through our heads for getting saying the wrong thing to him, you know, that's how art feels, you know, remember he is the person that gave all the costumes to the Guardians of the Globe, we worked with that team.
13:39 --> 13:43 [SPEAKER_01]: And no one destroyed them all in one day are thinking that these were his friends.
13:43 --> 13:46 [SPEAKER_01]: This was his team back then, back in season one.
13:47 --> 13:54 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, art doesn't know how to deal with this and yeah, it's a, again, another really brilliant applied see fantastic.
13:54 --> 13:59 [SPEAKER_01]: one of the ones on Nolan's apologies that he didn't do is he didn't even speak to Oliver.
14:00 --> 14:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, he's going to fight the votes for my war.
14:02 --> 14:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Oliver has been left on the planet after his mom died and after they thought the looms was dead.
14:08 --> 14:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Um,
14:09 --> 14:14 [SPEAKER_01]: And he comes back, speaks to Mark, speaks to Debbie, speaks to his old friend, Irish and doesn't even go and talk to Oliver.
14:15 --> 14:27 [SPEAKER_01]: So Oliver is absolutely livid at this, but says he's going to fight in the villager might war alongside Mark and not one person is going to be able to stop me, doesn't care if no one can damn and talk to him or not, he's going.
14:28 --> 14:32 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's just interesting that no one chose not to speak to Oliver.
14:32 --> 14:37 [SPEAKER_01]: but he says he doesn't want to speak to him because he doesn't want to mess him up like he messed up Mark again.
14:37 --> 14:39 [SPEAKER_01]: They just sound like words, you know?
14:39 --> 14:44 [SPEAKER_01]: It's just to me the reason why he didn't speak to Oliver is because well that'd be a difficult thing to do.
14:45 --> 14:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Now I don't want to do difficult things.
14:47 --> 14:51 [SPEAKER_01]: I want to say the words and I want people to forgive me because that's what I expect to happen and nobody does.
14:53 --> 14:56 [SPEAKER_02]: It's an interesting one to see will they?
14:58 --> 15:00 [SPEAKER_02]: Dude, is it action speak louder than words?
15:01 --> 15:08 [SPEAKER_02]: So will, will they show Mark and Debbie and Oliver actually at some point?
15:10 --> 15:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, forget not for give, but maybe allow.
15:18 --> 15:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Nolan Bach on earth that are like how how will they treat this?
15:23 --> 15:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Like are is there at the end of the future my war does Nolan come back?
15:28 --> 15:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Does he stay in Theskia?
15:31 --> 15:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Like does it like there's so many questions I have about how they will handle this because the dialogue the dialogue in the
15:44 --> 16:04 [SPEAKER_02]: in my view like it again is like you also read like it's different right I can't deliver a monologue the same way Sandra oh yeah even in my best day in my head so it is that kind of like I suppose it is a level of intensity
16:04 --> 16:08 [SPEAKER_02]: that I haven't brought to this storyline, yeah.
16:09 --> 16:16 [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm interested to see how they play it because they do content, they also condense a lot of storylines.
16:17 --> 16:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I think there's one, I think it was like new rock stars or something, we're doing their usual breakdown of this.
16:28 --> 16:38 [SPEAKER_02]: and they're on their social show that like 16 panels equated to like one minute.
16:38 --> 16:38 [SPEAKER_05]: Right.
16:39 --> 16:40 [SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, oh yeah.
16:40 --> 16:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
16:41 --> 16:48 [SPEAKER_02]: That's like you really are condensing a lot of comic book into a short time.
16:48 --> 16:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
16:49 --> 16:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
16:50 --> 16:51 [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
16:51 --> 16:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
16:51 --> 16:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Just I'd be interested to see how they bring it all.
16:53 --> 16:56 [SPEAKER_02]: together on the at the end of this apology.
16:56 --> 17:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I know, and that's the thing about me not reading the comic books, you know, my feeling here when we have Debbie saying to Mark and Oliver, I want one thing from both of you before we go and that's to sit down and have dinner, me poll, you, Eve, Oliver, um,
17:13 --> 17:16 [SPEAKER_01]: All of the sit down have one dinner and they sit down.
17:16 --> 17:29 [SPEAKER_01]: It's all in it's not in silence We don't hear their dialogue and we have music over the top of it and it plays out that they're having a lovely family dinner And then everybody starts to disappear from the table over the course of the evening
17:29 --> 17:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I felt that that was playing as that's the last time we're going to see Debbie, that's the last time we're going to see Eve with a child, um, I believe Mark didn't learn that, uh, that he was, uh, going to be a father because the next time he comes back to earth, Eve will have a baby, uh,
17:46 --> 17:52 [SPEAKER_01]: It just all felt like this was a goodbye while they go off to a war that could last quite a long time.
17:52 --> 17:57 [SPEAKER_01]: I might even last in the season four of my last couple of years and they're going across space, right?
17:57 --> 18:00 [SPEAKER_01]: So time's going to be a little different when they get back.
18:00 --> 18:02 [SPEAKER_01]: So it could be a couple of years before they get back.
18:03 --> 18:04 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's what it felt like.
18:04 --> 18:12 [SPEAKER_01]: So whether they allow no loanback or not, there's going to be, I think there may be some big changes the next time we're
18:14 --> 18:15 [SPEAKER_01]: That's my feeling.
18:15 --> 18:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Again, I don't know, and it's like, if it hopefully goes only two weeks to the, to the, to the, to the planet.
18:23 --> 18:30 [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm hoping it is, yeah, not years, but let's see, let's see, but the five itself, the actual battle itself with the votes might still last a long time.
18:30 --> 18:31 [SPEAKER_01]: I never know.
18:31 --> 18:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's do no with it.
18:32 --> 18:32 [SPEAKER_01]: That is great.
18:32 --> 18:33 [SPEAKER_01]: But there you go.
18:33 --> 18:36 [SPEAKER_01]: And Chris, we move on to our second point.
18:37 --> 18:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, let's do it.
18:38 --> 18:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about the anti-vulchumite team that is being pulled together.
18:43 --> 18:47 [SPEAKER_02]: We do get introduced to Zoe Thompson, tech jacket.
18:47 --> 19:01 [SPEAKER_02]: We have seen her once before in the show, and we kind of get a bit more of an introduction to her, as she battles the walking dread.
19:01 --> 19:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
19:02 --> 19:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Fantastic.
19:02 --> 19:06 [SPEAKER_01]: A little gag there.
19:06 --> 19:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and we're going to choose to her dad and that it's fun.
19:10 --> 19:11 [SPEAKER_02]: It's an interesting.
19:12 --> 19:12 [SPEAKER_02]: She's that kid.
19:13 --> 19:24 [SPEAKER_02]: She's a spider-man youth that they bring to a lot of the comics, but she has that suit, especially like AI-driven suit, but it's an alien suit.
19:24 --> 19:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Look at like here.
19:25 --> 19:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Who does she see like Chris?
19:27 --> 19:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Giver.
19:29 --> 19:30 [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing, aren't harsh though.
19:30 --> 19:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, but she was around before I I get I get where you're going now Actually, for me it is very much there's an anime and a manga called Giver a baby
19:43 --> 19:50 [SPEAKER_02]: an alien kind of cybernetic system that allows you to back monsters.
19:50 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_02]: But yes, I see where you're coming from with the others.
19:53 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, absolutely.
19:54 --> 19:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Especially because we have the AI voice going through the suit guiding her as she goes.
19:58 --> 20:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Played by Lavar Burton from Star Trek, and eventually became a Starfleet captain as far as I remember.
20:04 --> 20:10 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, another Star Trek captain, so very cool,
20:11 --> 20:19 [SPEAKER_02]: I did knock at that, until I saw it, hey in our notes, and I went, no, that's not right.
20:19 --> 20:19 [SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
20:19 --> 20:20 [SPEAKER_02]: And I checked this.
20:21 --> 20:24 [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, Derek still is homework for once.
20:25 --> 20:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
20:26 --> 20:26 [SPEAKER_02]: No, no.
20:26 --> 20:28 [SPEAKER_02]: You always do your homework or swap.
20:28 --> 20:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
20:29 --> 20:35 [SPEAKER_02]: No, for me, it's the, it's not that, it's not that they wasted.
20:35 --> 20:38 [SPEAKER_02]: uh... levard on the a.r.
20:38 --> 20:51 [SPEAKER_02]: for tactile right it's just i'm hoping he also does something else yeah plays another character because i was like it's a far friggin break
20:51 --> 20:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Like this man is an nerd royalty.
20:55 --> 20:56 [SPEAKER_01]: He's fantastic.
20:56 --> 20:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
20:57 --> 20:58 [SPEAKER_02]: And deserves a bigger part.
20:58 --> 21:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, what I was trying to get.
21:00 --> 21:07 [SPEAKER_01]: I think what happens with the team behind events, they just go and contact with people that they've been at conventions with.
21:07 --> 21:09 [SPEAKER_01]: People that they admire, people that they've seen and go, right?
21:10 --> 21:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Do you have 10 minutes or do you have two hours or, you know, in the case of
21:15 --> 21:17 [SPEAKER_01]: the cat, the former cast of the walk-in-date.
21:17 --> 21:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we worked for the every eight years.
21:18 --> 21:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to just come on and do tons and tons of voices for this show?
21:23 --> 21:31 [SPEAKER_01]: I know this Ross Morgan, this season, is actually credited with not only all of the different voices that he does in the major cast.
21:31 --> 21:36 [SPEAKER_01]: He's also doing additional voices for this show, so he seems to be working full-time on this show.
21:36 --> 21:42 [SPEAKER_01]: doing every extra voice in the background and anybody who can't return to do their voice, he does their voice as well.
21:42 --> 21:49 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so the comedian Ross Markwam has got a massive event of voice work on the show as well, which is great.
21:50 --> 21:54 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, cool to see another Star Trek alumni over here.
21:54 --> 21:57 [SPEAKER_01]: doing this, especially because there's a couple of other little Star Trek novels in this show.
21:58 --> 22:10 [SPEAKER_01]: We know rubber characters are massive Star Trek fans, so it must be great for him to have some of the wonderful cast, you know, after the last three, having Kate Mulberry and this we're having a rubber, it's kind of cool isn't it?
22:10 --> 22:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, 100%.
22:11 --> 22:12 [SPEAKER_01]: But what do you think of TechJacker Chris?
22:12 --> 22:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Because again, this is something, and I'm sure you were going to tell me at some point, I'll just drag an idea.
22:18 --> 22:23 [SPEAKER_01]: TechJacker is different from the
22:23 --> 22:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um, don't feel any issue with it, um, but it works well.
22:30 --> 22:45 [SPEAKER_02]: It like, honestly, the the youth angle tech tech it was always young and like, so again, it's that kind of young Peter Parker's
22:47 --> 22:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Chirpiness, if you want to call it that, does work really well.
22:52 --> 22:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
22:52 --> 22:56 [SPEAKER_02]: And acts very well again, say Oliver, who's on the trip.
22:56 --> 22:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
22:57 --> 23:03 [SPEAKER_02]: And pairs well then with the sarcasm of Alan.
23:03 --> 23:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
23:03 --> 23:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
23:04 --> 23:05 [SPEAKER_02]: So like I think,
23:06 --> 23:09 [SPEAKER_02]: The choice is a correct choice.
23:10 --> 23:11 [SPEAKER_02]: When you think of it as that.
23:11 --> 23:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
23:13 --> 23:15 [SPEAKER_02]: It's a chemistry fit.
23:15 --> 23:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
23:16 --> 23:18 [SPEAKER_02]: You don't need a chemistry fit in comic books.
23:18 --> 23:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, but also I think you know we've set it before that the creator going back to the books and turning it into an other medium like like TV show and gives them an opportunity to make some changes in tweaks, you know, and having
23:33 --> 23:37 [SPEAKER_01]: in this cast of male characters makes a lot of sense, right?
23:37 --> 23:42 [SPEAKER_01]: You need to kind of expand it as well and have a nice mixed cast of characters when they're all going into a war, right?
23:43 --> 23:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure he was going, why didn't I bring somebody else?
23:47 --> 23:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Why didn't I have a Eve come along for this battle, you know, something like that?
23:50 --> 23:55 [SPEAKER_01]: And she has gone up against the bill for myself in previous episodes, why isn't she here at this trip so why not?
23:56 --> 24:02 [SPEAKER_01]: The other character she reminds me of is Penny Parker from Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse, the first one.
24:02 --> 24:09 [SPEAKER_01]: She really reminds me of that character, and that's the kind of energy that you really want bouncing off all these other characters.
24:09 --> 24:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Oliver is yet a lively young teenager, again, but he's really angry at the moment.
24:15 --> 24:21 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's really good to have somebody else take over that role from him as well, so so having Zoe here for that reason makes sense.
24:22 --> 24:27 [SPEAKER_01]: And she's massively powerful, and I love that it starts out with Alan, assuming that it's a guy inside the suit.
24:27 --> 24:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, it's not and her dad is the one that's helping her right and he's really annoyed a bit about the The amount of cursing that she's been doing recently I do love the dad that that whole scene where he's like the dad is supportive and you go see Alan go I know it's only just met you, but we're gonna do this me hugs because it is very much so
24:50 --> 25:01 [SPEAKER_02]: You expect the dad to have no daughter of mine going into the space to blabber like you expect it and it's just a fun It's a fun piece because they make us some sandwiches.
25:01 --> 25:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep, but you're right.
25:04 --> 25:06 [SPEAKER_02]: It plays
25:06 --> 25:12 [SPEAKER_02]: The happiness and the levity of tech jack is, and Alan plays well against what we get.
25:13 --> 25:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Very quickly, which is no longer an Oliver, which is, oh there is going to be a part of our montage of time passing.
25:25 --> 25:28 [SPEAKER_02]: You do get Oliver like,
25:28 --> 25:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Holy of waiting.
25:30 --> 25:30 [SPEAKER_02]: No.
25:30 --> 25:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
25:31 --> 25:43 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm both of them cawing this malaise gray on happiness to each other and it just kind of building and to the point where like
25:44 --> 26:10 [SPEAKER_02]: we have Nolan remembering the first time he ever ate protein string pasta with white sauce and like how and that kind of leads back into his apology to our discussion point that we already had but we know it's different with Oliver because Oliver is happily playing video games but Zoe but as soon as he's there setting a reading book by himself and Nolan walks in
26:10 --> 26:13 [SPEAKER_02]: within seconds all of us walking, like flying out again.
26:13 --> 26:31 [SPEAKER_02]: So it is that it is the just position of that to over a quiet kind of music slow pace track of kind of sadness, yes, but there's also just that.
26:31 --> 26:33 [SPEAKER_01]: optimism of this team are now together.
26:33 --> 26:38 [SPEAKER_01]: They're the strongest in the galaxy that have brought together from Earth or strongest on Earth.
26:38 --> 26:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's say brought together to go Earth to Alaska.
26:41 --> 26:42 [SPEAKER_01]: They're all getting to know each other.
26:42 --> 26:43 [SPEAKER_01]: They're telling us two weeks trip.
26:43 --> 26:48 [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, the team getting the team building up and the team getting together.
26:49 --> 26:50 [SPEAKER_01]: And it just doesn't go well.
26:50 --> 26:52 [SPEAKER_01]: But I love the
26:52 --> 26:55 [SPEAKER_01]: one really interesting touch seeing back to Earth.
26:56 --> 27:00 [SPEAKER_01]: We see Cecil and the global defense agency standing down almost.
27:01 --> 27:10 [SPEAKER_01]: They've been monitoring what's going on with Nolan in the background as they always do, but just this moment when
27:10 --> 27:11 [SPEAKER_01]: It's said, I lied.
27:11 --> 27:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Thus, this is the first time planet Earth won't have a villager might on it in over 20 years.
27:20 --> 27:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Huge moment.
27:21 --> 27:28 [SPEAKER_01]: And I do love to have a little touch to at RuPaul's Drag Race where Cecil says, God speed boys don't have it up.
27:29 --> 27:33 [SPEAKER_01]: And I said a little lap, RuPaul quote there, I threw the mouth of Cecil.
27:33 --> 27:38 [SPEAKER_01]: But it's just really interesting, I love that he vocalizes that.
27:38 --> 27:39 [SPEAKER_01]: That's how I was going to win a water.
27:39 --> 27:42 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be like with that, a filter-mind is a good thing or a bad thing.
27:42 --> 27:46 [SPEAKER_01]: There's nobody there to protect them at all of that power.
27:47 --> 27:52 [SPEAKER_02]: First, I love that they've made Cecil a drug race fan.
27:53 --> 27:54 [SPEAKER_02]: So that's amazing.
27:55 --> 27:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
27:56 --> 28:03 [SPEAKER_02]: In that scene, I found it hilarious because when they all,
28:03 --> 28:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we're okay.
28:04 --> 28:10 [SPEAKER_02]: You see people in the back of their kind of mission control, like celebrating is like when the moon landing.
28:10 --> 28:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
28:11 --> 28:16 [SPEAKER_02]: You see too loud, too, guys in suits kind of get up and hug each other.
28:16 --> 28:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's like, it's just celebrating, I don't know.
28:18 --> 28:20 [SPEAKER_02]: It's just thought it was hilarious.
28:20 --> 28:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and again, should they be celebrating, you know, is somebody else going to arrive that only a Viltrovise could take care of and there isn't any Viltrovise there.
28:32 --> 28:45 [SPEAKER_01]: There's no mark, there's no Oliver, there's no Nolan to protect Earth from someone, and I'm going to remember over the course of the last three seasons, the pirates have been rising on people that are arriving on Earth, so yeah, is it going to be good?
28:45 --> 28:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Is it going to be that?
28:46 --> 28:47 [SPEAKER_01]: We don't know.
28:48 --> 28:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Who knows, who knows, but speaking of that, she'll move into our point three.
28:54 --> 28:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, let's get on there.
28:55 --> 29:00 [SPEAKER_01]: The filter might attack on the ship here.
29:00 --> 29:22 [SPEAKER_01]: I do like that the keep-up, the fact the ship is absolutely terrible, it's only because tech check it's on board and she has noticed that some of her instruments are telling them there's some long-range things they should be worried about, so that's when they decide to check their instruments and it's too late, the Viltromites are already right outside the window.
29:22 --> 29:25 [SPEAKER_01]: and they have to make a decision, effectively.
29:25 --> 29:40 [SPEAKER_01]: They do a great Star Trek separation of the Solcer section from the ship and leaving behind Alan Mark Oliver Tech, Jacket and Nolan as the rest of the crew who are a bit more squishy, let's say, decide that they're going to leave.
29:41 --> 29:47 [SPEAKER_01]: One of the particular reasons I like this is because the first season of Star Trek,
29:47 --> 29:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Starfleet Academy just finished and this was the thing they decided to do in the final episode.
29:52 --> 29:56 [SPEAKER_01]: That's so they separated the sauce or section from the rest of the rest of the academy.
29:56 --> 30:02 [SPEAKER_01]: So I love this is something that's been ongoing in Star Trek since I think it was the second movie.
30:03 --> 30:09 [SPEAKER_01]: They decided that the sauce or section could separate from the rest of the ship and they've been using it ever since to get out of really tough scrapes.
30:09 --> 30:12 [SPEAKER_01]: So a nice little joke on Star Trek once again.
30:13 --> 30:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, God bless, thank you, thank you so much, it does lead into what is a dry gouge.
30:26 --> 30:32 [SPEAKER_02]: beautiful, extended, gory, full-termite bottle.
30:33 --> 30:38 [SPEAKER_02]: And it is punctuated with really cool, interesting bits.
30:39 --> 30:54 [SPEAKER_02]: One of the first ones I'll call it is techjacket, working with Alan to take on one of the full-termites on the first full-termite, essentially just grabbing techjacket's helmet, squishing and squeezing, and you have the AI going,
30:54 --> 30:57 [SPEAKER_02]: I, I, you need a few moments.
30:57 --> 30:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Don't let me do that again.
30:59 --> 31:01 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, to fix your helmet.
31:02 --> 31:02 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
31:03 --> 31:08 [SPEAKER_02]: And the, the, the, one of the comments is, what's one of their weak point?
31:09 --> 31:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, there is none.
31:12 --> 31:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Just very fun.
31:16 --> 31:18 [SPEAKER_02]: It sounds terrible.
31:18 --> 31:39 [SPEAKER_02]: It's a fun action scene and I think it's fun for me because it's something I've seen in the comic books This is from the comic books and it again is just an extended Basel Where we talked about in our last episode the animation has gotten so good that these fight scenes It's essentially just a fight in space initially
31:40 --> 31:41 [SPEAKER_02]: but it's so well done.
31:41 --> 31:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and also the drama that's added underneath the fact of who it is that's returning here.
31:48 --> 31:49 [SPEAKER_01]: It's conquest returning.
31:50 --> 31:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Conquest was only just beaten at the end of last season.
31:53 --> 31:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Mark thinking he'd killed him after everything that has happened and all the powers that were thrown at him.
31:58 --> 31:59 [SPEAKER_01]: And here he is back.
31:59 --> 32:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Looking pretty good.
32:00 --> 32:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Got himself a new arm.
32:01 --> 32:03 [SPEAKER_01]: You can still see the crack and his head a little bit bush.
32:04 --> 32:09 [SPEAKER_01]: He's still very violent that's still able to crush
32:09 --> 32:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the first one to almost get it is Oliver, a conquest, literally grabs Oliver's head and starts to crush, you know, and it's only because Nolan steps in and sends Oliver to the planet to have a breather.
32:21 --> 32:23 [SPEAKER_01]: That he gets saved, right?
32:24 --> 32:29 [SPEAKER_01]: So again, it's only by looking tactics that they can get around any veltermite.
32:29 --> 32:32 [SPEAKER_01]: And here they are faced with three different veltermites, you know?
32:33 --> 32:35 [SPEAKER_02]: and the Vultimate are tough.
32:35 --> 32:36 [SPEAKER_01]: They absolutely are.
32:36 --> 32:37 [SPEAKER_01]: We've seen Luke and before as well.
32:38 --> 32:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
32:39 --> 32:45 [SPEAKER_01]: The bold one we saw him back with the Ness I think it was a couple of seasons ago.
32:45 --> 32:51 [SPEAKER_01]: So, again, who die, he's here, who do Vultimate die, you know?
32:52 --> 33:00 [SPEAKER_02]: So, this for me kind of brings, as you said, talking about the kind of drama underneath
33:00 --> 33:04 [SPEAKER_02]: the zero in on conquest.
33:04 --> 33:28 [SPEAKER_02]: So we have previously discussed how Mark has essentially kind of come round to the idea that he does need to kill sometimes, which doesn't like killing and then, especially in the last episode, he doesn't want to succumb to that film to my rage that
33:28 --> 33:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, this fight really, really just epitomizes will to my battling and just the lack of care.
33:40 --> 33:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Because we see Mark and Conquest fall into the planet fight on the map and you see them criss-cross a large continent.
33:51 --> 33:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, space in the continent, destroy, like, car carving the path of destruction around this planet.
33:57 --> 33:59 [SPEAKER_02]: At least there's no people on there.
33:59 --> 34:15 [SPEAKER_01]: There's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there
34:15 --> 34:34 [SPEAKER_01]: There's also a cruelty to conquests, as well here, the Jeffroddin Morgan plays with, um, he goes for all of her first and wants to crush his head because he didn't get to accomplish that when he promised he was going to do that on earth, um, know the knocks and it, so he knows no one's there, he knows marks there.
34:34 --> 34:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Oliver goes to take a break on the plow and Conquest goes after Oliver on the plow to kill him.
34:40 --> 34:41 [SPEAKER_01]: That is why he's there for it.
34:41 --> 34:55 [SPEAKER_01]: It's just that cruelty and there's that incredible shot I've seen just a still of it with Oliver just taking a breath of the plow and a right behind him is this looming really aggressive Conquest just to bear to bear down on him.
34:55 --> 35:04 [SPEAKER_01]: He would have been dead instantly because he wasn't Conquest wasn't holding back that hadn't been for Mark's arrival there.
35:05 --> 35:07 [SPEAKER_02]: Isn't it like ripped from a palm?
35:08 --> 35:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Looks like mine.
35:08 --> 35:13 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but in that, you have like the first panel would just be all overtaking the breath.
35:13 --> 35:15 [SPEAKER_02]: The second panel is all overtaking the breath.
35:15 --> 35:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Conquest suddenly they're behind.
35:17 --> 35:20 [SPEAKER_02]: And then the third is Conquest gone.
35:21 --> 35:27 [SPEAKER_02]: But like you have our like a blue, a yellow, kind of like speed line and a washing pot.
35:27 --> 35:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
35:29 --> 35:38 [SPEAKER_02]: But like that's it was just you right it is just conquest bathing shadow behind Oliver is just Fantat like that is something like you
35:38 --> 35:42 [SPEAKER_02]: when you go for the the animation Oscars you're like four-year-old.
35:42 --> 35:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
35:44 --> 35:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
35:44 --> 35:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, but this right here they'd never give it to it.
35:47 --> 35:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I know they've started giving Oscars to to horror movies this year for the first time, but they're not going to do a two-year-old at this type of animation for a while.
35:53 --> 35:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, unfortunately.
35:54 --> 35:57 [SPEAKER_02]: No, nothing done until we are in our late age.
35:57 --> 35:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
35:59 --> 35:59 [SPEAKER_01]: But it's so good.
35:59 --> 36:02 [SPEAKER_01]: I think from this point onwards,
36:03 --> 36:13 [SPEAKER_01]: I talked about it last season, the wishful filament of the battle between Steven Young and Jeffrey Dean Morgan for walking dead fans, but this was even more so.
36:13 --> 36:18 [SPEAKER_01]: This was for the one that the fans of walking dead who haste Nigan and there's lots of people.
36:18 --> 36:27 [SPEAKER_01]: That lightning in the comic books, but he stuck around for a very long time in the TV show that I don't need to stick around the TV show from five seasons for four seasons.
36:27 --> 36:33 [SPEAKER_01]: He went on to a spin-off show with Maggie, where he's now gone two more seasons of Neegan.
36:34 --> 36:38 [SPEAKER_01]: This Jovial Cruel A-Hull.
36:38 --> 36:43 [SPEAKER_01]: And what they do here is something for those fans specifically, I think, of the Walking Dead.
36:44 --> 36:55 [SPEAKER_01]: They have Steven Young's Mark, grab him by the throat, shutting up his stupid voice from speaking because Negan is just known for talking all the time, just like Conquest does.
36:56 --> 37:00 [SPEAKER_01]: And Conquest never speaks again from that moment onwards when
37:00 --> 37:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Mark wraps his hands around his throat.
37:03 --> 37:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, there's a battle that goes on for another two or three minutes of the episode that's a huge battle still going on.
37:09 --> 37:13 [SPEAKER_01]: What we don't hear is voice again, as Mark crushes his windpipe.
37:13 --> 37:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Finally, eventually, what he does do to him, ripping out his intestines.
37:19 --> 37:20 [SPEAKER_01]: I was just going wolves.
37:21 --> 37:28 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I guess Mark can also recover from the kind of damage that's been put on the filter
37:29 --> 37:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, a lot of glue.
37:31 --> 37:35 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess, um, I'm calling.
37:35 --> 37:36 [SPEAKER_01]: I need to take the intestines.
37:36 --> 37:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, body.
37:37 --> 37:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, body.
37:38 --> 37:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, you're going to do it.
37:40 --> 37:42 [SPEAKER_02]: But that's one of the most grotesque.
37:42 --> 37:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, it was also the, the sign direction here where I'd love to be the, the audio technician going, okay, we, we need you to kind of go and get us like squelchy.
37:58 --> 38:11 [SPEAKER_02]: oh great and he's just like pulling out like spaghetti out of something yeah I think they're in the butcher shop to get the offer so I think it's probably that's just so I don't
38:12 --> 38:22 [SPEAKER_02]: I do really love one of the collides here where we have Mark saying to Conquest, are you going to confess to all your secrets to me?
38:22 --> 38:32 [SPEAKER_02]: Because in that last episode, we had seen Conquest and Mark is he, you had Conquest whispering to Mark, because deep as dark as secret.
38:32 --> 38:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think they like me, they fear me.
38:36 --> 38:46 [SPEAKER_02]: And it is then mark kind of using that to enrage and kind of put off kind of conquest.
38:47 --> 38:48 [SPEAKER_02]: but you're right.
38:48 --> 38:56 [SPEAKER_02]: The final battle between these two goes on for just a fraction too long that it makes it uncomfortable.
38:57 --> 38:58 [SPEAKER_02]: It's like uncomfortable.
38:58 --> 39:01 [SPEAKER_02]: That's the, so they could have stopped at a certain point.
39:02 --> 39:15 [SPEAKER_02]: But it goes on for a leak, like you said, another minute or two, as they
39:15 --> 39:45 [SPEAKER_02]: a proportion, you go back to the intestines, then you go back to the bloodshed eyes, that finally kind of resolved back into the back of the head, and I had the captions, and it goes, as the I didn't even hear, there's an inaudible help from my wife, where you do hear, then as you see
39:45 --> 40:08 [SPEAKER_02]: You just do here Mark think you're going help me help But it does set up then The next episodes which is going to be how you how do you recover like you said like they the Vultimates do have healing like we saw that with look where conquest is now because he was essentially
40:08 --> 40:09 [SPEAKER_02]: dead before.
40:09 --> 40:16 [SPEAKER_02]: So it is that kind of how long it will, how long will it take them to recover?
40:16 --> 40:20 [SPEAKER_02]: We said in the last episode, you asked, well, how long are they going to be away from Earth?
40:21 --> 40:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, if this recovery now takes nine months for them to get better and then go fight the war.
40:26 --> 40:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, well, the baby's already born at that point.
40:30 --> 40:33 [SPEAKER_02]: So all these interactions, they
40:34 --> 40:59 [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
40:59 --> 41:15 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, let's see how that plays out next episode because it literally at the arrival of Oliver and And know them, you know, it just looks like both of them are dead It looks like both of them have beat me to their two deaths, basically
41:15 --> 41:22 [SPEAKER_01]: On the other side of what we have Alan and Techjack who've been fighting against Luke and and Crad and then make the Star Wars decision.
41:22 --> 41:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Right?
41:23 --> 41:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
41:23 --> 41:26 [SPEAKER_01]: This is the Millennium Falcon decision to fly past the ship.
41:27 --> 41:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Even though they're being tracked by the enemy, they can't see them as they attach themselves to the ship.
41:34 --> 41:36 [SPEAKER_01]: They have a bit of a discussion afterwards.
41:36 --> 41:39 [SPEAKER_01]: I know when my notes say that they have themselves to the eight side of the ship.
41:39 --> 41:40 [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like they're on the inside.
41:40 --> 41:43 [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like they're in some vents inside the ship.
41:43 --> 41:50 [SPEAKER_01]: But has techjack had created that out of her nanobot armor and it's the outside of the ship or something.
41:50 --> 41:56 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but it doesn't seem to have delivered enough space for the very toll Allen.
41:56 --> 41:58 [SPEAKER_01]: He's asking us to give him some more space.
41:58 --> 42:04 [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I think it must have been created by the nanobots because he's asking her to recreate some more space.
42:04 --> 42:18 [SPEAKER_02]: So essentially they're on the outside, from what I understand, they're on the outside and in one of the grooves in, that kind of, when you look at the cruiser, it has that kind of groove running around, that's one of the tops of it.
42:18 --> 42:32 [SPEAKER_02]: So they're in one of the grooves, and essentially tech jackets suit has created a dough right, and it's like sealed it to one side to the side of the hole, and that's where they're sitting in it.
42:31 --> 42:35 [SPEAKER_02]: and it hounds the ability to create some video hymns.
42:35 --> 42:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
42:36 --> 42:38 [SPEAKER_02]: What do you just not create more hatred?
42:38 --> 42:39 [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah.
42:40 --> 42:45 [SPEAKER_02]: What I do like it and it does like it's...
42:45 --> 42:47 [SPEAKER_02]: I saw this in the movie once.
42:47 --> 42:48 [SPEAKER_02]: I love how they can't.
42:48 --> 42:55 [SPEAKER_02]: They just can't name the movie and if you're a nerd you get it if you don't you're And I have this is another reference.
42:55 --> 43:00 [SPEAKER_01]: I guess that's I guess it's it's running fucking on sure that I'm sure they they mean other movies as well.
43:00 --> 43:02 [SPEAKER_01]: I have all this
43:02 --> 43:03 [SPEAKER_01]: It is very funny.
43:03 --> 43:05 [SPEAKER_01]: I do love Alan kind of laying out.
43:06 --> 43:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Right, okay.
43:06 --> 43:25 [SPEAKER_01]: We're attached here to the ship now All we need to do is stay hidden until they stop somewhere Unless the place they're going to is the planet village and because that will be really really bad I really like that moment to the two of them in kind of the kind of post-gradency There is another post-gradency Do you want to move on to that Chris talk about that one?
43:26 --> 43:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Let's do it.
43:28 --> 43:31 [SPEAKER_02]: So
43:32 --> 44:01 [SPEAKER_02]: and credit scene is where we have Talia Island's girlfriend that now captain of the ship and she is returning home and she is talking to Thadias, the leader of the Coalition of Planets and he talks about that they were in a conflict with the Vultimates and they were moving toward and it does, I suppose a new question is okay great we're going into the Vultimates war, what is that going to mean?
44:01 --> 44:11 [SPEAKER_02]: But the fact last two episodes ago, we learned that the this scourge virus 2.0 is being kept on the planet as well.
44:12 --> 44:19 [SPEAKER_02]: And he said, I would only use this if there's a point of no return, I can't.
44:20 --> 44:22 [SPEAKER_02]: If I'm lost.
44:22 --> 44:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, is this the most, now that potentially known and there's won't return, maybe they haven't survived, is this where they will use that scourge into the, as part of the war?
44:35 --> 44:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Or is it just like, is this where we're going to, you're going to get their prey for battlebeats and a few others to come?
44:41 --> 44:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it is really interesting to make the decision to go into battle without the strongest Viltramites, I guess.
44:49 --> 44:52 [SPEAKER_01]: They had been sent Earth to collect.
44:52 --> 44:57 [SPEAKER_01]: They do still have the option, as you say, that option could be the new virus, right?
44:57 --> 45:00 [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe we'll just release that and war is over.
45:00 --> 45:04 [SPEAKER_01]: And so we're all the Viltramites, if it works.
45:04 --> 45:06 [SPEAKER_02]: And Mark.
45:06 --> 45:09 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
45:10 --> 45:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Anything else any of the notes about the episode you want to mention, Chris?
45:15 --> 45:15 [SPEAKER_02]: No, not really.
45:16 --> 45:22 [SPEAKER_02]: I liked the nerdy callbacks, the video games callbacks, the Star Trek callbacks.
45:22 --> 45:27 [SPEAKER_02]: And there's definitely a lot of it is just fun.
45:27 --> 45:30 [SPEAKER_02]: So I do enjoy that they call out these pieces.
45:30 --> 45:31 [SPEAKER_02]: And
45:31 --> 45:36 [SPEAKER_02]: in an episode where not much happens, a lot happens, if that makes sense.
45:36 --> 45:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, like it's like a good chunk of the episode is taken up by the Vultimate Attack and the Battle at the end, but
45:46 --> 45:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, yeah, that kind of a lot happens, but a lot of lots of things.
45:52 --> 46:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I would say this is probably my favorite episode of the season, with that data, my might even be one of my favorite episodes so far as a fan of the showdown because the character moments that are here with Nolan trying to...
46:04 --> 46:22 [SPEAKER_01]: say the words that he's apologizing and the treatment that he's getting back from Debbie and from Art, I mean that's just fantastically written, it's something that's, you don't often see, it's so well written, but you don't often see these moments where your characters get to have a moment to tell someone.
46:22 --> 46:25 [SPEAKER_01]: you know, we're never going to forgive you what you did and thought that was brilliant.
46:25 --> 46:28 [SPEAKER_01]: The Vilt's right attack is just incredible.
46:28 --> 46:29 [SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't expecting.
46:29 --> 46:32 [SPEAKER_01]: I thought, you know, okay, we've got another 10, 15 minutes left in the show.
46:32 --> 46:37 [SPEAKER_01]: They're going to get their mission when they get back to the coalition of planets and that'll be fine and nope.
46:38 --> 46:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Mass of battle once again on the return of conquest.
46:41 --> 46:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I hope he's test.
46:43 --> 46:44 [SPEAKER_01]: I really hope he's dead.
46:45 --> 46:48 [SPEAKER_01]: And one way to take him out was really, really good.
46:48 --> 46:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah.
46:50 --> 47:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Overall, um, does anything else to mention, I just want to mention one tiny little thing, just a conversation with Alan and, uh, Mark, once again, a great little Seth Rogan, uh, joke in there, where he's, he's saying, and saying, uh, Yeah, it was in this real funk.
47:06 --> 47:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, funk isn't an, on a payin word for, uh, which means boom dash.
47:10 --> 47:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Mark's like, yeah, I know that's the same word on our, I don't know.
47:14 --> 47:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Seth Rogan just plays it so well as Alan going,
47:18 --> 47:19 [SPEAKER_01]: how is that possible?
47:19 --> 47:29 [SPEAKER_01]: I could, and all the words of, and all the pilots, I could possibly have the same word, uh, meaning bomb dags, uh, that really got fun.
47:30 --> 47:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely a little good.
47:31 --> 47:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, I think we pretty much covered our final thoughts on this episode, so I'll just kind of close out to say, yeah, this for me was a standard episode.
47:40 --> 47:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and it really kind of sets up
47:44 --> 48:02 [SPEAKER_02]: What I think is the final couple of episodes that I read is that kind of like, okay, you've taken your pause, you've got your breath, now we're going into the like fifth gear, like your where we're going onto the highway, we're cruising, let's go towards the end of this season.
48:03 --> 48:05 [SPEAKER_02]: So really looking forward to where they take us.
48:05 --> 48:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
48:06 --> 48:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anything else you'd like to add or should we move on to see what our fellow guardians have to say?
48:11 --> 48:13 [SPEAKER_01]: That's it, just a bit of feedback
48:14 --> 48:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent stuff.
48:15 --> 48:19 [SPEAKER_02]: We got an email in from the one and only coffee and vodka who had this to say.
48:20 --> 48:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Greetings fellow warring defenders.
48:24 --> 48:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Never an even break and that's what talking bones.
48:27 --> 48:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Perfect from start to finish.
48:29 --> 48:43 [SPEAKER_02]: The feels from this were more felt than anything else watched the
48:43 --> 48:49 [SPEAKER_02]: The replies were heartfelt, every conversation honest, say for a minor mission on Eve's pregnancy.
48:50 --> 48:56 [SPEAKER_02]: And just when you think you're getting a violent free episode with yet another fun journey aboard the venture,
48:56 --> 49:10 [SPEAKER_02]: BAM, it's Ultramight Viva section time, but no punch seemingly as hard to take as the one known received from art when learning he had lost his hero count.
49:10 --> 49:25 [SPEAKER_02]: With all that going on, however, would have to say my favorite set of moments where the visible absence of Cecil's team and their collective sigh of relief and known as departure easily so far the best of all
49:25 --> 49:35 [SPEAKER_02]: five farewell family feasts, choked at champions, and father and son, contusions at a five, peace and take care, coffee and vodka.
49:37 --> 49:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, coffee and vodka.
49:39 --> 49:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we didn't even mention Eve's omission of her pregnancy before Marcos, and that's that like in terms of where that leads.
49:50 --> 49:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, kind of touched on a boat, just really like,
49:53 --> 49:56 [SPEAKER_02]: That emission from her, really, is clearing.
49:57 --> 50:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, he gives her another opportunity when they're, and when they're in bad and saying, goodbye, he gives her another opportunity, he's just, yeah, if he, if there was something we were trying to tell me yesterday before everything happened, you can tell me that and like, no, no, you're going out to fight a war.
50:08 --> 50:11 [SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you when you get back kind of thing.
50:11 --> 50:14 [SPEAKER_01]: All right, yeah, big, big moment.
50:14 --> 50:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and as coffee like I said, like it is potentially some of the the most feeling of feeling of feels for anything.
50:24 --> 50:24 [SPEAKER_02]: That's the same.
50:24 --> 50:26 [SPEAKER_02]: You're watching this here, but like it's true.
50:26 --> 50:30 [SPEAKER_02]: It's like that that Debbie Nolan change is good mention.
50:30 --> 50:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and we the other thing we did mentioned was was Mark biting Conquest them off and spit me back in his face as well Yeah, he was he was not given up in that fight Really really thanks so much for that coffee vodka and we also got to be back in from Dr. Bob over in discord Who says the righteous anger of Debbie the walking dread showing us quite
50:53 --> 51:07 [SPEAKER_01]: clearly why everyone needs to say for it, and the amazing delight of Alan, and all in the first third impressive battle scenes, which confirm I don't understand with Viltramite Anatomy, and while Paul got dinner, he still hasn't got his pancakes.
51:08 --> 51:12 [SPEAKER_03]: Well, they basically got rice.
51:13 --> 51:15 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, right, rice inside, that was it.
51:16 --> 51:35 [SPEAKER_01]: and and he got a nice spot the wine you know he's that a lovely dinner but he didn't get pancakes so let's let's hope that while Mark and Oliver are away fighting in the built right were at space and that Paul's getting pancakes every morning for back just that's that's it with hope it might be off screen Dr. Bob but he's getting his pancakes I'd say
51:35 --> 51:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Fantastic.
51:39 --> 51:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for all your feedback for the episode.
51:41 --> 51:43 [SPEAKER_01]: We want to hear from it again on this episode.

52:14 --> 52:20 [SPEAKER_02]: We're currently kind of watching and recording on Daredevil born against season 2 of our Disney blues.
52:21 --> 52:28 [SPEAKER_02]: And since we are in April, it is the month where we get the final season of the boys.
52:29 --> 52:31 [SPEAKER_02]: It is going to be god ranching.
52:31 --> 52:34 [SPEAKER_02]: It more so than probably how the events will was.
52:34 --> 52:35 [SPEAKER_02]: What is that episode?
52:36 --> 52:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Ah, yeah.
52:37 --> 52:42 [SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know if there is a small Shadowlord the animated Star Wars series from the guys who brought you bad batch.

53:05 --> 53:07 [SPEAKER_01]: We're definitely not going to be covering Star Wars.
53:08 --> 53:09 [SPEAKER_01]: We did get the episodes in advance.
53:09 --> 53:11 [SPEAKER_01]: We were planning to cover.
53:11 --> 53:13 [SPEAKER_01]: We've seen the first couple of episodes.
53:13 --> 53:15 [SPEAKER_01]: There are available on Easter Monday.
53:16 --> 53:17 [SPEAKER_01]: First two episodes or ice.
53:17 --> 53:33 [SPEAKER_01]: at highly recommend checking it out definitely go watch a bush we realized if we committed to recording on the first two episodes we would then be committing to record on the other eight episodes and we just do not have the time to do that with all the other shadows going on at but highly recommend why it's really good to some
53:33 --> 53:41 [SPEAKER_01]: really cool story beats in there, and the animation is top notch once again, so a highly recommend check in the list.
53:41 --> 53:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Let us know what you thought anyway.
53:43 --> 53:50 [SPEAKER_01]: We might even put a spoiler post up on Discord for you to discuss it there, and then we can chat about it later on in the year when there's less happening, right?
53:51 --> 53:51 [SPEAKER_02]: 100%.
53:51 --> 53:52 [SPEAKER_02]: 100%.
53:52 --> 53:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's watch it though.
53:53 --> 53:54 [SPEAKER_02]: There is so much content.
53:55 --> 54:04 [SPEAKER_02]: We are, it's almost like it's spilling out onto us from a hole in the abdomen, much like Mark's intestines all over conquest.
54:05 --> 54:14 [SPEAKER_02]: And with that, as the same way, Mark collapses and falls to the side and goes,
54:14 --> 54:16 [SPEAKER_02]: We are going to say goodbye.
54:16 --> 54:21 [SPEAKER_02]: We will be back with you next week for episode six.
54:21 --> 54:22 [SPEAKER_02]: You look horrible.
54:22 --> 54:23 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm assuming this is about Mark.
54:24 --> 54:27 [SPEAKER_01]: So until then, I'm going to try to attract a little Chris.
54:28 --> 54:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, they can't see us.
54:30 --> 54:31 [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe.
54:32 --> 54:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Until that point, keep watching, keep listening, and keep having a hole in your abdomen.
54:37 --> 54:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Bye.
54:38 --> 54:38 [SPEAKER_05]: Bye.
