The Fine Young Hannibals, John and Irene, are back as we discuss everything from the Tableau (including a kitty tableau) to the Table and everything in between. In this episode of our podcast we chat about the introduction of Reba McClane, played by Rutina Wesley aka Tara from True Blood, and the beginnings of this important connection with Francis Dolarhyde. We discuss the return of that wonderful bromance as Will Graham and Hannibal exchange notes separated only by 4 inches of perspex glass! We talk about Will and his bad (Hannibal) habits as his profiling technique has him immersed in the dangerous territory of Francis Dolarhyde. We talk about the tail of Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage, drool) – where did it come from? – and can’t help but go back to those Blake paintings because of that episode title. We also take a look at Will as he adopts another four legged friend, see the return of Freddy Lounds (Lara Jean Chorostecki) and find out that Alanna Bloom is still happily in love with Margot and is mother to potentially the devil baby Verger; but we of course, of course, of course discuss the great quintessential summer accompaniment to Hannibal, the Great British Bake Off, that returns to BBC One. Hannibal Season 3 Episode 9 And The Woman Clothed With The Sun - Synopsis
The search for the serial killer known as “The Tooth Fairy” develops as Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) delves into dangerous territory, at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, where he meets Dr Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) who agrees to consult on the murders with him. However, Alanna Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas), still together with Margot Verger (Katharine Isabelle) and mother of the heir to the Verger estate, meets with Will to warn him of his dangerous methods with Hannibal; and she confronts Hannibal about his intentions for Will Graham, warning him that the improvements to his cell are conditional. Despite her warnings Will Graham delves further in to ever more dangerous territory and his disturbing profiling technique as he envisions himself in Dolarhyde’s psyche at first covered in blood under moonlight and then during a nightmare where he feels and imagines the murder of one of the slain families. All the while Francis Dolarhyde’s (Richard Armitage) hallucinations progress ever further. As he writhes in pain we behold his devil like forked tail! Despite his perceived transformation to the Great Red Dragon, he meets a blind woman, Reba McClane (Rutina Wesley), at a film developing laboratory and they unexpectedly begin to form a connection. Back in his cell, Hannibal’s recollections of Abigail Hobbs (Kacey Rohl), his child to Will, are interrupted by an interesting phone call!
