Eyes of Wakanda Episode 3 "Lost And Found" Details

Executive Producer: Ryan Coogler

Series helmed by: Todd Harris

Episode Written by: Marc Bernardin

Episode Directed by: John Fang & Todd Harris

Spoiler Filled Synopsis: In Kun’Lun, China, 1400, Agent Basha infiltrates this high mountain society to recover a Wakandan artifact lost for over a thousand years. Pretending to be a lost traveller he is taken in and cared for by a woman called Jorrani. During his recovery he is drawn into the community by Jorrani and they develop feelings for one another. At the city's Dragon shrine Basha and Jorrani take time to offer meditation at the city’s sacred Dragon statue where he spots the artifact as the tongue of the dragon.

But after several weeks, Basha, now back to full health, attempts to quietly recover the artifact but he can not remove it from the statue and has to take the entire head. He manages to escape Kun’Lun in his hidden flying craft despite being caught stealing the sacred object.

Back in Wakanda, he is greeted by Captain Evo, head of artifact security, who is concerned that the intel for this mission was off. But Basha arrogantly flaunts how easy the mission was and how primitive he saw the people of Kun’Lun. But as Basha and Ebo replace the artifact they suddenly realise that he has brought back an unexpected visitor from Kun’Lun who has infiltrated Wakanda.

Basha finally catches up with the masked infiltrator who has made their way to the artifact collection to return the sacred Dragon to Kun’Lun. As they fight it is revealed to be Jorrani who is none other than Kun’Lun’s protector - the Iron Fist.

Deploying her powerful glowing fist, Jorrani manages to finally get Basha’s attention where he learns that the people of Kun’Lun had not knowingly stolen the Wakandan treasure and that in fact over the last 1000 years the Dragon and the artifact has become a more important and sacred symbol to her city and society than it ever was to Wakanda.

Knowing this Basha and Ebo concoct a story to hide Jorrani’s presence in Wakanda and in turn Jorrani plucks the tongue from the statue's head saying if Basha had only asked she would have helped.

The Iron Fist returns to Kun’Lun with the Dragon head and Basha learns humility.

01:03 --> 01:05 [SPEAKER_02]: I am one of your other hosts, John.
01:05 --> 01:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Light up that iron fist.
01:06 --> 01:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
01:07 --> 01:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Indeed.
01:08 --> 01:13 [SPEAKER_02]: And so good to get the iron fist back on our TV screens.
01:13 --> 01:13 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
01:14 --> 01:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Even if it is in animation, um, animation won't, it's not done around.
01:18 --> 01:19 [SPEAKER_02]: It's not done around.
01:19 --> 01:27 [SPEAKER_02]: And but it is absolutely true to the iron fist mythology, which the iron fist can be anyone.
01:27 --> 01:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
01:27 --> 01:29 [SPEAKER_02]: And through time and has been
01:29 --> 01:33 [SPEAKER_02]: and has changed from time across time over time.
01:34 --> 01:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's a very cool series of comics, a couple of years ago.
01:37 --> 01:44 [SPEAKER_01]: I think in the last five years where they go back to the earliest legacy characters of the first Ever Black Panther and the first Ever Iron Fist.
01:45 --> 01:51 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, all of these characters have a mantle past and through generations, you know, with a little of that idea.
01:51 --> 02:00 [SPEAKER_01]: So there have been many iron fists before we got to our Danny Round, who obviously was a subject to two seasons of a Netflix TV show, and hopefully we'll see again in the future.
02:00 --> 02:01 [SPEAKER_02]: I hope so too.
02:01 --> 02:13 [SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, there's also then the matte faction and Ed Brubacca and Immortal Iron Fist as well, we explore and in one of those, the different
02:14 --> 02:17 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm fist through the age.
02:17 --> 02:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Danny Rand, there's also Randall that it goes back to then a pirate.
02:26 --> 02:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm fist, a female pirate.
02:27 --> 02:34 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm fist is really good to get that kind of concept here brought by having
02:34 --> 02:40 [SPEAKER_02]: the I'm fist being Gerani and as we get to find out in in this episode.
02:40 --> 02:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
02:41 --> 02:43 [SPEAKER_01]: So we'll talk all about that in our episode description.
02:43 --> 02:46 [SPEAKER_01]: But if you haven't subscribed to the podcast, we're on our third episode of Isable Kanda.

03:15 --> 03:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Derek, let us get into our spoiler filled discussion of this third episode.
03:21 --> 03:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Lost and found.
03:22 --> 03:24 [SPEAKER_02]: What are some of the episode details?
03:24 --> 03:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, as you mentioned before, this show is exactly produced by Ryan Kudler, Brad Widdbam, Kevin Feige, Louis Despisito, Gigi Kudler, Seville Hanyan, Calacin, Todd Harris, and Dana Vesca's Abrahart.
03:36 --> 03:39 [SPEAKER_01]: This show is held by Todd Harris as the lead producer on the show.
03:39 --> 03:46 [SPEAKER_01]: And this episode, once again, written by Mark Bernardin, who we mentioned in episode two, and directed by John Fang with Todd Harris in this episode.
03:46 --> 03:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Excellent.
03:47 --> 03:49 [SPEAKER_01]: All the good people involved in this one as well.
03:49 --> 03:49 [SPEAKER_02]: This is excellent.
03:49 --> 03:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
03:50 --> 03:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely.
03:51 --> 03:53 [SPEAKER_01]: So John, do you want to tell us what they gave us with your synopsis for?
03:54 --> 03:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Isvokanda episode three?
03:56 --> 03:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Lost and famed.
03:57 --> 03:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
03:58 --> 04:08 [SPEAKER_02]: In Kremlin, China, Fortune hundreds, Asian Bashar infiltrates this high mountain society to recover a Wakandan artifact lost for over a thousand years.
04:09 --> 04:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Pretending to be a lost traveler, he's taken in and cared for by a woman called Gerani.
04:14 --> 04:20 [SPEAKER_02]: During his recovery, he has drawn into the community by Gerani and they develop feelings for one another.
04:21 --> 04:31 [SPEAKER_02]: At the city's Dragon Shrine, Basha and Drone take time to offer meditation at the city's sacred dragon statue, where he spots the artifact as the tongue of the dragon.
04:32 --> 04:42 [SPEAKER_02]: But after several weeks, Basha now back to full health attempts to quietly recover the artifact, but he cannot remove it from the statue, and has to take the entire head.
04:43 --> 04:49 [SPEAKER_02]: He manages to escape Kung-Lun in his hidden flying craft, despite being caught stealing the sacred object.
04:50 --> 05:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Back in Wakanda is greeted by Captain Ebo, heads of Artefax Accuracy, who is concerned that the intel for this mission was off, but Bashar arrogantly flaunts how easy the mission was and how primitive he saw the people of Conlon.
05:07 --> 05:17 [SPEAKER_02]: But as Bashar Ibo replaced the artifact they suddenly realised that he has brought back an unexpected visor from Kunlun, who has infiltrated Wakanda.
05:17 --> 05:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Bashar finally catches up with the masked infiltrator, who has made their way to the artifact collection to return the sacred dragon back to its home in Kunlun.
05:27 --> 05:33 [SPEAKER_02]: As they fight, it is revealed to be Gerani, who is none other than Kunlun's protector, the Iron Fist.
05:34 --> 05:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Deploying her powerful glowing face, Dranny manages to finally get Bashar's attention, where he learns that the people of Conlon had not knowingly stolen the Wakandan treasure.
05:45 --> 05:57 [SPEAKER_02]: And that, in fact, over the last a thousand years, the dragon and the artifact has become a more important and sacred symbol to her city and society than it ever was to Wakanda.
05:57 --> 06:02 [SPEAKER_02]: Knowing this, Bashan Ebo can copped a story to hide Darani's presence in Wakanda.
06:03 --> 06:09 [SPEAKER_02]: And in turn, Darani plugs the tongue from the statue's hair saying, if Bashar had only asked, she would have helped.
06:10 --> 06:15 [SPEAKER_02]: The iron fist returns to Kung Lung with the dragon head and Bashar learns humility.
06:17 --> 06:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Excellent.
06:17 --> 06:19 [SPEAKER_01]: He certainly needed to learn humility.
06:19 --> 06:32 [SPEAKER_02]: he really did, but I mean, it was what it felt like a little bit of a naive arrogance at times, but then it did strain to just pure arrogance.
06:33 --> 06:37 [SPEAKER_02]: And I kind of liked how Captain Ebo is
06:38 --> 06:46 [SPEAKER_02]: trying to remind him, you know, all the way that he's kind of got a misplaced confidence here, you know, he should learn some hubris.
06:47 --> 06:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, you know, exactly, exactly.
06:49 --> 06:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, there's just this interesting idea, you know, that Bash has gone out and loads and loads of missions.
06:55 --> 06:55 [SPEAKER_01]: He's definitely
06:56 --> 07:22 [SPEAKER_01]: more of a fun character than we've seen in the first two episodes from Wardog that the others he does seem quite excitable he loves his missions he loves being the one that that delivers on the mission he's been sent out on you know the first episode dealt with slavery in the second episode dealt with breaking friendship and you know the idea of being an undercover spy and this one's much more of a caper it is but it also deals with the notion of
07:24 --> 07:35 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess symbols, identity, and were effectively that might lie in terms of ownership.
07:36 --> 07:46 [SPEAKER_02]: So I kind of like how this progresses, it is a lighthearted paper, but wrapped within it is something that is asking the question,
07:47 --> 08:04 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, well, this is also now important to our society and has a tradition and symbology, a spirituality going back thousands of years and which your society hasn't had, but it is equally important to yours as well.
08:04 --> 08:06 [SPEAKER_02]: It also is, you know,
08:09 --> 08:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Within this a bit of if you don't ask you don't get actually in the end.
08:15 --> 08:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Drani is kind of fairly clued in around bash it anyway and Because she describes it as well You didn't think I'd believe your I'm a lost traveler sorry.
08:28 --> 08:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so just happened to be up in the mountains and Charlie yes
08:30 --> 08:34 [SPEAKER_02]: So I brought you in because I wanted to see what you would do.
08:34 --> 08:38 [SPEAKER_02]: And ultimately, you know, she's on his case from the start.
08:38 --> 08:57 [SPEAKER_02]: So, again, he's immediate perception and opinions of the villagers or, you know, that's, I call them primitive people in Conlon as opposed, you know, I love the fact that he says, they're worshiping this dragon, but I never saw one.
08:58 --> 08:59 [SPEAKER_02]: It is literally just
09:00 --> 09:02 [SPEAKER_02]: a story, a local tale and myth.
09:03 --> 09:17 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's not until Gerani is in Wakanda is deep within the world dog's headquarters that he realizes there is more to this myth.
09:18 --> 09:31 [SPEAKER_02]: then meets the eye as you get her ion fist lighting up in order to so she can escape from the binds that Bashar has kind of put on her in their little fight sequence.
09:32 --> 09:46 [SPEAKER_01]: And I know two Marvel projects based around the ion fist and we still get the verbal story of how you have to be show out the undying and take its heart into you to get the power of the ion fist and we haven't seen the bloody dragonly
09:46 --> 09:51 [SPEAKER_01]: They showed the dragon in Shanshi, you know, they can do dragons in the Marvel Universe.
09:51 --> 09:56 [SPEAKER_01]: I want to see a dragon that versus an iron fist or a potential iron fist the next time.
09:56 --> 09:57 [SPEAKER_01]: That would be very cool.
09:57 --> 09:58 [SPEAKER_02]: But I kind of liked it.
09:59 --> 10:01 [SPEAKER_02]: They focused on the Wakandan elements.
10:01 --> 10:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
10:01 --> 10:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
10:02 --> 10:09 [SPEAKER_02]: No, the other protagonist here is the Iron Fist, is another in a sense secret world.
10:09 --> 10:16 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it may not have been here, but at least in the comics, you know, come on, it is a hidden setting.
10:16 --> 10:25 [SPEAKER_02]: And it is not known to the outside world in the same way, like in Shon Chi, but equally like you have with Wakanda.
10:25 --> 10:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
10:25 --> 10:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Wakanda is through tech.
10:27 --> 10:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
10:27 --> 10:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Come on, is through mysticism and magic.
10:30 --> 10:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
10:31 --> 10:35 [SPEAKER_02]: And hence my involvement in this character.
10:35 --> 10:37 [SPEAKER_01]: And why you love, I prefer so much, absolutely.
10:38 --> 10:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
10:38 --> 10:40 [SPEAKER_01]: And dragons are cool.
10:40 --> 10:42 [SPEAKER_01]: They certainly are absolutely.
10:43 --> 10:48 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I have to say my favorite thing about this episode is the fighting style of the R&-Fist.
10:48 --> 10:52 [SPEAKER_01]: When they get it right, Swinger Annie comes in and she's taking on the warriors of Wakantai.
10:52 --> 10:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Love that with Ebo, where he's going, oh, yeah, I'll take exactly where you want to go.
10:56 --> 10:59 [SPEAKER_01]: And leads her into the room full of the warriors of Wakantai.
10:59 --> 10:59 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a good joke.
11:00 --> 11:05 [SPEAKER_01]: But she takes of all night and I have to say the style of fighting that they give her is really, really good.
11:06 --> 11:08 [SPEAKER_01]: It's really exciting in this animated show.
11:08 --> 11:10 [SPEAKER_01]: So, well done to the team behind us.
11:11 --> 11:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
11:12 --> 11:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I love the fact that once they know that there is this I guess infiltrator They don't know at the time, but Bashar's kind of like trying to sort of make light of it like he's he's done all the way through he says things go sideways in the field all the time and Ebo's is like but this is headquarters And he kind of Rasha comes back at him to say well, no, but now it's
11:38 --> 11:41 [SPEAKER_02]: the field because it's happening because the best it's going on.
11:41 --> 11:42 [SPEAKER_01]: The missions happening.
11:43 --> 11:44 [SPEAKER_02]: And so I kind of like that.
11:44 --> 11:45 [SPEAKER_02]: I like to you, though, as well.
11:45 --> 11:52 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, kind of like Bash's friends, but it's unclear what they're relationship.
11:53 --> 11:57 [SPEAKER_02]: But I got the sense that they were kind of schoolmates and they just had
11:58 --> 12:14 [SPEAKER_02]: had gone on different paths and while Bashar was out in the field he was a war dog Captain Ebo is not a war dog he is the keeper of the artifacts and but actually through this keeper and he in a sense
12:15 --> 12:33 [SPEAKER_02]: is looked on in the different lights by the the counselor when they kind of you know say that the whole thing with all this mayhem and chaos that's been happening around the headquarters has actually just been a planned exercise by Captain Ebo in order to
12:34 --> 12:41 [SPEAKER_02]: keep the war dogs on their toes and to test out their resilience and the systems will come.
12:41 --> 12:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
12:42 --> 12:48 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why I was definitely getting a fresh Prince of Beller and Carlson could have a vibe between two.
12:48 --> 12:50 [SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if it's just a shave head and
12:52 --> 13:05 [SPEAKER_01]: the time, on Ebo and also just that he's the really straight-laced one, and Basha gets to go Asian, live his dream of being a spy, and enjoy himself without any real restraint.
13:06 --> 13:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Whereas Ebo has to be really restricted as he's at home, but as you say, eventually by the end of the episode, he'll also become a war dog being able to get to the field, which seems to have been his dream as well.
13:16 --> 13:17 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's quite cool.
13:17 --> 13:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely.
13:19 --> 13:32 [SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, I mean, I love the fighting style of I'm fist like you said I think the fight between and oh, okay, I guess it's more of the chase on the trains where yeah, and
13:33 --> 13:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Drani basically says, oh, so it's the orange train I need to go.
13:37 --> 13:38 [SPEAKER_02]: It's like fashion.
13:39 --> 13:41 [SPEAKER_01]: It just gives her the intel.
13:41 --> 13:47 [SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to believe that Bashar was trying to send it in the wrong path.
13:49 --> 13:53 [SPEAKER_01]: But when you have a color code train system and you go, well, it's over in the orange area.
13:54 --> 13:58 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, you will see the Wakamans build things very well, especially a good train system.
13:59 --> 14:00 [SPEAKER_01]: So you know that's the other line.
14:01 --> 14:02 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a great fight though.
14:02 --> 14:08 [SPEAKER_01]: It did remind me of the fight with Wilkilmonger and Antichala and the first Black Panther movie where they fight on the train system.
14:09 --> 14:12 [SPEAKER_01]: And Antichala uses the train system train beast.
14:12 --> 14:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Kilmonger and that movie here, we have the battling going all across this train system.
14:17 --> 14:18 [SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was very cool.
14:18 --> 14:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Really good fight again between the two of them.
14:20 --> 14:21 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely.
14:21 --> 14:25 [SPEAKER_02]: I like the kind of, you know, Gerani and Basha.
14:26 --> 14:38 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, there's that little bit of, um, frees on between the two because you do as, um, like I said, she wants to see what the ruptured but she did start to care for him.
14:40 --> 14:44 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's massively deep, but it's enough.
14:44 --> 14:48 [SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like there was the start of the friendship, but it was coming from Gerani.
14:48 --> 15:03 [SPEAKER_02]: It seems as though Bashers, you know, the opposite of a Bikai and of men not from the previous one, he's able to deal with separating it, whereas Gerani was starting maybe to sort of
15:05 --> 15:06 [SPEAKER_02]: live in the real world in that sense.
15:07 --> 15:08 [SPEAKER_02]: So I like that, buddy.
15:08 --> 15:13 [SPEAKER_01]: I do like the joke that the Basha may think he's better at this than he is.
15:13 --> 15:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Gerani, you know, pointing out to him that you didn't seduce me.
15:17 --> 15:18 [SPEAKER_01]: I seduce you.
15:18 --> 15:22 [SPEAKER_01]: That's why it was so easy for you to get in, not because you're such an amazing person.
15:22 --> 15:23 [SPEAKER_01]: That's seducing women because
15:24 --> 15:25 [SPEAKER_01]: This is what I wanted to happen.
15:25 --> 15:27 [SPEAKER_01]: So I could monitor all of the things that you were there.
15:27 --> 15:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
15:28 --> 15:29 [SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, well, who are you?
15:29 --> 15:32 [SPEAKER_02]: And she goes, I'm the fool who's seduced to thief.
15:32 --> 15:34 [SPEAKER_02]: They're nice little lines.
15:35 --> 15:40 [SPEAKER_02]: And I kind of like then the twist in the artifact room, when she goes in there.
15:40 --> 15:43 [SPEAKER_02]: And Johnny is like, this is what you do.
15:43 --> 15:45 [SPEAKER_02]: You steal from other cultures.
15:45 --> 15:50 [SPEAKER_02]: And this, you know, that's her initial impression is that
15:52 --> 16:09 [SPEAKER_02]: he is going around stealing these artifacts from other cultures because it's not because they're not Wakandan, but it's simply that with the time that's passed with it being out of their possession.
16:10 --> 16:19 [SPEAKER_02]: It's also become important to another in terms of, not an museum piece, but part of this
16:20 --> 16:36 [SPEAKER_02]: symbolic dragon statue in the shrine in Kunlun and you know she says this has become more important to us and our culture in the last thousand years than it ever was to you yeah and we got the timing right
16:36 --> 16:59 [SPEAKER_01]: there so it's it the last episode we were the Trojan War happened in nineteen hundred BC roughly some somewhere there and then this is taking place in fourteen hundred eighties you're talking two and a half days and years from the last war dogs mission that we saw and they were getting to thousands of years of course is taking on a brand new significant solid these items that are right in the world that were at
17:00 --> 17:06 [SPEAKER_01]: free from Wakanda in a way by the lion in that first episode or getting their own life, I suppose.
17:08 --> 17:14 [SPEAKER_01]: I love when Darani finds it, I should just go, well, I'll just pluck the tongue out and I can take the dragon statue back because that's the important bit.
17:14 --> 17:15 [SPEAKER_01]: We don't care about your stupid metal.
17:15 --> 17:17 [SPEAKER_01]: It's the dragon statue that's the important part.
17:18 --> 17:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
17:19 --> 17:20 [SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing that's important.
17:20 --> 17:25 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's to the point of, you know, not everything has to be a mission.
17:25 --> 17:39 [SPEAKER_02]: I think in a sense what Gerani is introducing here, even though it won't take on is the idea that you could go out into the world and be diplomatic about it to say these are coming these come from our world.
17:40 --> 17:46 [SPEAKER_02]: They don't take that on board because the whole point is this is really in comparison high tech.
17:46 --> 17:47 [SPEAKER_02]: So we see
17:48 --> 17:50 [SPEAKER_02]: It's fourteen hundred A.D.
17:51 --> 18:00 [SPEAKER_02]: Yet, you know, Basha does have a plane, a flying craft, and what she escapes from come on.
18:00 --> 18:01 [SPEAKER_02]: And look like a chicken.
18:01 --> 18:02 [SPEAKER_02]: I know, it does look like a chicken.
18:02 --> 18:03 [SPEAKER_02]: Like a chicken.
18:03 --> 18:04 [SPEAKER_02]: It's fourteen hundred.
18:05 --> 18:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's got I like the chickens.
18:07 --> 18:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Why are you saying it's got a orange bill at the front of a pedal?
18:11 --> 18:12 [SPEAKER_01]: So what do you do chickens?
18:12 --> 18:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
18:13 --> 18:14 [SPEAKER_01]: They are.
18:14 --> 18:25 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know whether I'd make surely something like a blackbird or a raven would be quite cool to base your ship on especially if it's flying through the air in fourteen hundred eighty which not many
18:26 --> 18:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Plains are around at the time, so they can fly in through the air, or maybe I guess lots of people in the world might think it's a chicken or a goose flying through the air and stick Norris, maybe that's all this.
18:35 --> 18:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Could be like migratory birds.
18:36 --> 18:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
18:37 --> 18:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
18:38 --> 18:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Migratory chicken.
18:39 --> 18:41 [SPEAKER_02]: The great migratory chicken.
18:41 --> 18:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Going from Thailand all the way to Africa.
18:43 --> 18:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:44 --> 18:46 [SPEAKER_01]: That's a carrying cook and that's some sure.
18:47 --> 18:48 [SPEAKER_02]: But I like it.
18:48 --> 18:49 [SPEAKER_02]: I like the design.
18:49 --> 18:53 [SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was quite cute that, yeah, it kind of looked a little bit like a chicken.
18:54 --> 19:00 [SPEAKER_01]: It's not one, but to your point, though, that is very advanced technology to have it in the world.
19:00 --> 19:06 [SPEAKER_01]: And if the rest of the world caught them down and used the vibrating in for something different, it'll then form into the tongue of a dragon statue.
19:06 --> 19:12 [SPEAKER_01]: They may become just as advanced as Wakanda and pose a threat again, so they're still not willing to give that up.
19:12 --> 19:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Despite the guidance from Germany, that maybe just ask, and you might get what you want, rather than infiltrating a society of pretending you're a lost traveler on a mountain in China.
19:24 --> 19:25 [SPEAKER_02]: No, agreed.
19:25 --> 19:28 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's like, it's just really nicely done.
19:29 --> 19:36 [SPEAKER_02]: I do like the fact, as well, that the fight in the arts fact room almost causes all the arts facts to be destroyed.
19:36 --> 19:38 [SPEAKER_02]: That's a way to deal with the vibranium.
19:38 --> 19:45 [SPEAKER_01]: I suppose you could just melt down all of these artifacts and took it, taken the vibranium back into the society.
19:45 --> 19:49 [SPEAKER_01]: You don't need to keep the artifacts that were taken from Wakanda, right?
19:49 --> 19:51 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to create an artifact room.
19:51 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_01]: But I guess it keeps track of the
19:54 --> 19:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Some of the dozens of artifacts that have been brought back over the thing.
19:56 --> 19:57 [SPEAKER_01]: They're so huge.
19:57 --> 19:57 [SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
19:58 --> 19:59 [SPEAKER_01]: I guess that's the way it does.
19:59 --> 20:00 [SPEAKER_01]: But that's logging.
20:01 --> 20:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, John.
20:02 --> 20:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Is there anything else about the episode you want to mention, John?
20:04 --> 20:05 [SPEAKER_01]: We haven't mentioned.
20:05 --> 20:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, I think just that we do have Shaolau mentioned here by Drani in terms of how, you know, she gets her, uh, cool, I'm fist, um, and the, the glowing yellow fist here, um, that she has to beat the dragon, as you say, and take out its heart, um, so we have about Shaolau.
20:24 --> 20:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, I do like, um, the sub to future of the counsellor.
20:29 --> 20:30 [SPEAKER_02]: We haven't mentioned the counsellor, but it's like, um,
20:31 --> 20:40 [SPEAKER_02]: The counselor bit like Ebo, but in a slightly worse way is dubious about Basha and his capabilities.
20:41 --> 20:47 [SPEAKER_02]: So you've certainly not happy that the artifact was going to brought back with the head of the dragon around it.
20:47 --> 20:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, but it does deliver one of the best lines of the episode where he goes, did something happen on your mission to Basha and Basha goes, yes.
20:55 --> 20:55 [SPEAKER_01]: I succeeded.
20:55 --> 21:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
21:01 --> 21:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that's the only kind of note that I have is just we haven't really mentioned the councillor that will condon councillor.
21:09 --> 21:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
21:10 --> 21:21 [SPEAKER_01]: The only one I have is just to mention along with some of the other humor in the episode that there is a very Scooby-Doo moment in the facility when they're trying to find the missing iron fist
21:21 --> 21:27 [SPEAKER_01]: and everybody's walking down different corridors at the exact same time, missing each other by seconds.
21:27 --> 21:31 [SPEAKER_01]: It did feel really like the Scooby-D cartoons of the sixties as well, which was quite fun.
21:32 --> 21:32 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
21:32 --> 21:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Always adds a bit of fun and light this to an episode.
21:35 --> 21:40 [SPEAKER_01]: So overall John, do you defend the third episode of Eyes of Wakanda Lost in Fend?
21:40 --> 21:42 [SPEAKER_02]: I certainly do defend this episode.
21:42 --> 21:47 [SPEAKER_02]: I've got a soft spot for it and giving this five-fifty cuffs out of five.
21:47 --> 21:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Fantastic.
21:48 --> 21:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Why not?
21:49 --> 21:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, now I just really enjoyed getting the I'm fist on on screen.
21:55 --> 21:55 [SPEAKER_02]: I liked
21:56 --> 22:09 [SPEAKER_02]: I like the complication that the iron fist brought here to Wakanda and it was a subtle one around ownership around the symbols of different
22:12 --> 22:27 [SPEAKER_02]: society is effectively and where they reside and different symbols of their society, their spirituality, their morality, whatever it might be and just how
22:30 --> 22:32 [SPEAKER_02]: Can one have taken this on?
22:32 --> 22:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine someone walking into Fort Knox and going, see all that gold you have there?
22:37 --> 22:40 [SPEAKER_01]: That's part of Atlantis and we're going to take it back to Atlantis.
22:40 --> 22:43 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care if you've got some value in it that you've placed.
22:44 --> 22:44 [SPEAKER_01]: It's ours.
22:45 --> 22:56 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, on a more serious note, it is the classic discussion around imperial or colonial ownership of the matter.
22:56 --> 23:09 [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, which we see in the Black Panther, the first movie, with the acts that Killinga takes from the British Museum.
23:09 --> 23:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
23:09 --> 23:13 [SPEAKER_02]: And equally, the Algan Marbles in the British Museum.
23:15 --> 23:18 [SPEAKER_02]: taken from the path and on in Athens.
23:19 --> 23:24 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's written to a lot of they can't be give a back isn't it for some weird reason even though they're not actually.
23:24 --> 23:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I mean it's that's the thing and I mean you know whether it's other museums across Europe that have got artifacts and of their interviews of symbolism in two countries or tribes or ethnic groups that you know
23:45 --> 23:46 [SPEAKER_02]: have lost them.
23:46 --> 23:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
23:47 --> 23:52 [SPEAKER_01]: So we have a car of Azure in the National Gallery of Irish and Ireland for some reason.
23:53 --> 23:58 [SPEAKER_01]: And that's then there's the trade in them because even more apparent.
23:58 --> 23:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
23:59 --> 23:59 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
23:59 --> 24:00 [SPEAKER_01]: And complications.
24:00 --> 24:02 [SPEAKER_01]: But a great basis for this episode.
24:03 --> 24:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely.
24:04 --> 24:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Definitely.
24:05 --> 24:14 [SPEAKER_02]: And so yeah, I've actually loved this episode and give it five, fifty cuffs out of five, but I think I'm being a little biased.
24:14 --> 24:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, the crossover is always really important and seeing an iron fist for the first time on our TV screens for quite a long time.
24:23 --> 24:24 [SPEAKER_01]: It's always really good.
24:24 --> 24:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely.
24:25 --> 24:34 [SPEAKER_01]: And we have a little bit of feedback for our fellow defenders on episode three of Isaac Wakanda, first up an email in from Coffee and Vodka who says, Greasing's fellow stole away defenders.
24:34 --> 24:35 [SPEAKER_01]: No long notes for this one.
24:35 --> 24:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Cute with a side of IronFist's origin interest, the same admiration for the creative team, and to finally imagine that the music to write this short series has been phenomenal off to the last of the quartet for domestic disputes, first fists, and untested trusts out of five.
24:50 --> 24:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Peace and take care, Coffee and Vodka.
24:52 --> 24:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, coffee vodka.
24:53 --> 24:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent stuff, coffee vodka.
24:55 --> 24:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Really please you enjoyed the old iron fist episode.
24:59 --> 24:59 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, yeah.
24:59 --> 25:01 [SPEAKER_01]: It's been a really good series so far, definitely.
25:01 --> 25:03 [SPEAKER_01]: And this iron fist episode was great fun.
25:03 --> 25:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and definitely get your point on the music online.
25:06 --> 25:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's been really, really good.
25:08 --> 25:18 [SPEAKER_01]: It's done by Hashem Nazai, an Egyptian composer who also composed the music for Moon Night, so you might recognize some of his themes in there as well, and that the music from Moon Night was excellent, and I'm talking about that at the time.
25:18 --> 25:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I hope they get back with the season two of Moonlight.
25:21 --> 25:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, definitely.
25:22 --> 25:25 [SPEAKER_01]: According to Kevin Feige, everything that's on the table is still on the table.
25:26 --> 25:28 [SPEAKER_01]: So, so it's entirely possible.
25:28 --> 25:30 [SPEAKER_01]: We will see the return of Moonlight at some point in the future.
25:30 --> 25:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, fingers crossed.
25:31 --> 25:31 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a great one.
25:31 --> 25:33 [SPEAKER_01]: No, fingers crossed.
25:34 --> 25:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks coffee vodka.
25:34 --> 25:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks coffee vodka.
25:36 --> 25:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Also we got some feedback over on Facebook from Dr Bob Phillips who says, the second great ion fist.
25:43 --> 25:45 [SPEAKER_02]: The first was in the Sean Chee Cowboy episode.
25:45 --> 25:47 [SPEAKER_02]: That kid would be good too.
25:47 --> 25:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Dr Adani has everything so unambused with the Dragon Heart should plus a decent helping of human not hoarding too.
25:55 --> 26:07 [SPEAKER_02]: Did Love the Swipe at the Stealing of Artifacts Gang or Kanda has its own museum of other nation's antiquities, Bob adds Stolen Shamelessly from Victoria's City Podcast Serial.
26:08 --> 26:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Best label for the British Museum I've ever seen.
26:11 --> 26:14 [SPEAKER_01]: And you see him of other nations and tics.
26:14 --> 26:15 [SPEAKER_01]: He's just so very good.
26:15 --> 26:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Very good.
26:16 --> 26:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Well done to the Vectorosity podcast and well done Bob for her passing the land to us as well.
26:22 --> 26:22 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a good idea.
26:22 --> 26:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
26:23 --> 26:30 [SPEAKER_01]: I do love Dr. Bob Phillips saying that this is the second great iron fist and pointing at the first one was in the the water episode.
26:30 --> 26:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
26:31 --> 26:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Not in the two season Netflix.
26:37 --> 26:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we must always remember the Marvel Netflix version.
26:40 --> 26:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we should.
26:41 --> 26:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we should.
26:42 --> 26:44 [SPEAKER_02]: I think you got better.
26:44 --> 26:45 [SPEAKER_02]: I think you got better.
26:45 --> 26:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
26:45 --> 26:48 [SPEAKER_01]: And someone else got the pair of the iron fist by the end of that series as well, didn't they?
26:48 --> 26:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they certainly did.
26:49 --> 26:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, calling wing.
26:50 --> 26:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
26:51 --> 26:53 [SPEAKER_02]: So, oh, good.
26:53 --> 27:01 [SPEAKER_02]: Plus, I think in the defenders pass all the sort of ties together of all four, and it was also really, really good.
27:01 --> 27:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was.
27:02 --> 27:07 [SPEAKER_01]: And of course, his appearance in the case, the crossover upset, and that everybody was really praising at any round.
27:07 --> 27:09 [SPEAKER_01]: I think he gets a lot of harsh press over the years.
27:10 --> 27:11 [SPEAKER_01]: He said some great moments.
27:11 --> 27:32 [SPEAKER_02]: definitely and I mean it was playing like the the straight Danny Rand version of Iron Fist so yeah that comes with its own challenges and really and so yeah I thought in the end it integrated really well absolutely but it was great to see Adriadani here in the absolute big time then yeah
27:32 --> 27:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep, thanks so much, Dr Bob.
27:34 --> 27:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Really glad you enjoyed this episode of Eyes of Wakanda.
27:38 --> 27:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Good stuff, fellow defenders, and if you have any feedback thoughts, there is observations on anything to do with Eyes of Wakanda.
27:47 --> 27:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Any of the episodes, please send in your thoughts to feedback at tvpodcastindustries.com.
27:52 --> 27:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Alternatively, you can leave a comment on our spoiler post over on our Facebook group.
27:58 --> 28:06 [SPEAKER_02]: At Facebook.com, always slash groups, always slash TV podcast industries, and we'll delve into them on our next podcast.
28:06 --> 28:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, absolutely.
28:07 --> 28:13 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm the next podcast is the final podcast for the Is of Wakanda episode for the last Panzer.
28:14 --> 28:19 [SPEAKER_01]: We're chatting about the wrap-up episode for these four episodes of Is of Wakanda, they've been good fun, haven't they?
28:19 --> 28:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely, definitely.
28:20 --> 28:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Good little series this.
28:22 --> 28:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, thanks so much for joining us.
28:24 --> 28:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Tottie again next time.
28:25 --> 28:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thanks so much fellow defenders for joining us for the Iron Fist episode, Lost and Found.
28:32 --> 28:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Until next time, keep watching, keep listening, and of course, keep defending.
28:38 --> 28:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Bye, bye.
28:59 --> 29:00 [UNKNOWN]: music.
